Atelier Escha & Logy anime confirmed for Spring season
It'll be done by Studio Gokumi who have kind of a meh track record
>Escha & Logy
There's an excrement pun in there. I just know it.
Will Ayesha be in this? This is important.
It will be awful.
No because in Escha & Logy she's on the run from the police.
But where's my Ayesha animu?
At least I know it'll have the best OPs and EDs short of evangelion.
Theological pun, actually.
Starting from E&L? That's weird.
It's part of their anniversary thingy.
>have all atelier games
>haven't touched them yet
Its a pun on Eschatology.
I see. I'm glad I was wrong then.
This means I can post Totori on /a/ now, right?
>meh track record
>KOE DE OSHIGOTO
yeah I have no idea what you're talking about.
A-Channel was quite amazing as well.
I want to ravage that cute lower body.
So it's pre-apocalyptic Atelier?
>not superior Arland
Can't to how they rape Hidari's character designs.
So will the anime come out before the game localization? I tend to avoid adaptation unless I have played the game itself
>get to part where it asks me to make potion of youth
>save and decide to do it and just sleep to get that ending and then go back and resume playing like normal
>guide says witch tea party end is same requirement just need to be level 50 alchemy
>get first end
>make shit loads of rations to level 50
>get same end
>google what I did wrong
>have to make some ice cascade bomb during chain of volcano events I haven't done
fucking shit guide
Barring any last-minute delays, the localization will be out in March. You have 1 month.
So it's not the loli-Atelier?
God damn it Japan.
Why did this pick this particular game in the series to make into an anime?
Well thats interesting. It will probably end up being shit
Has there ever been a 'good' anime based off a game?
Escha & Logy was their anniversary title. Plus I guess to advertise it.
> video game adaptation by a studio with a great track record.
> atelier series isn't really heavy on plot and relatively light hearted so no worries about story being rushed to shit.
Will this break the curse of shitty video game to anime adaptations.
As of Scatology, Ayesha is on the run from the cops. Partly due to being a close associate of top criminal Keithgriff "Motherfucking" Hazeldine and accidentally blowing some ruins that Central holds in high regard.
Although since this series is promotion for the twilight series and the fact that Nio is a major player in the story, Ayesha will likely make a few cameos here and there.
> on the run from the police.
> blowing up some ruins
What the fuck happened to Ayesha in the 2 years since the end of her game?
The canon ending in Atelier Ayesha was where she leaves her home to take full apprenticeship under Keithgriff in order to find out the "truth of the world".
Over the years, the values of the Mentor seems to have rubbed off the Student.
Why couldn't it stay as a vidya?
So far as Central is concerned, destroying the Cradle of the Seed was an atrocity.
Ar Tonelico anime fucking never.
conversely, Ayesha was also responsible for fixing and restoring functionality to the bulk of the Cradle of Knowledge. So doesn't she balance out?
I feel like Tales of the Abyss was ok, but it's been so long I can't really remember. Played the game beforehand and don't remember disliking the adaptation.
Wait. So is this a game or an anime?.... or both????
In the canon ending, the librarian leaves with them, and the Cradle of Knowledge shuts down as well.
She has the core of the Cradle of Knowledge as a BFF though. Not to mention that said core is the servant of her Mentor. It's not like the Cradle disappeared or anything. Odelia can easily access the archives with no effort.
Or is Central mad at her and Keithgriff for hogging all the knowledge for themselves?
Maybe the OVAs, tv series was kind of terrible.
But it's has been maybe 10 years since I watched it.
Do I need to play Atelier Ayesha to understand this? I only played Totori so far.
Tower of Druaga was mildly amusing
A good 1/3 of the cast are from Ayesha or are related to the Ayesha characters.
Furthermore, much of the world building of the setting of the Twilight series is found in Ayesha.
It's not a necessary play, but it will greatly boost your appreciation. Get the game anyway. It's cheap as fuck and rather easy. Not my favorite Atelier gameplay-wise, but in terms of setting, atmosphere, narrative and characters, I say it's the best so far.
Ayesha is pretty fun overall. its one of the few games I've played several times over just because I wanted to see the different endings, only got about 3 before I stopped. There is like 7 or so of them in total.
But Ayesha lets you choose your ending. All you have to do is save before the final day and play them in sequence,
true, but you also have to do all the proper triggers throughout the course of the game to get them all which requires you to switch party members A LOT if you're trying to get them all in one playthrough.
You make it sound so hard.
Really, the only missable endings are Keithgriff and Harry's. (And that other ending you get for getting all the other endings).
The game gives you enough time. So as long as you budget your time and tasks properly, you'll get all the endings aside from the ones above.
Besides, if you do the respective party member character quests (which you will probably end up doing unknowingly anyway) you'll have their friendship level high enough to unlock their endings.
boku no google it
Let's get this started.
Hidari > Kishida
what the hell is your problem, fucking play them already
I almost died when I saw a guy win a limited edition box of Meruru, I almost died inside
I bet he then sold it on ebay like the casual he is
I like both.
this series is overflowing with lesbians and they adapted a game that has a male protagonist?
like, have it not occurred to them why their games are full of lesbians?
Tecmo is doing the adaption, not Gust.
>this series is overflowing with lesbians
Totorifags being cancerous ignoramuses, what a surprise.
Where is my insults through image macro?
So what you're trying to say is, you know absolutely nothing about the series and played maybe one game, but you're going to be all snarky and act like you know better than the creators of the games?
Yeah, fuck yurifags.
Arland series is pretty gay yeah.
Twilight series? Not really, no. Go crawl back to whatever hole you came from.
Why is Mel Kishida so perfect?
You tell me.
Developers such as Gust, NIS, CompHearts, and Atlus etc are the reason why Pee-C mustard rice and their boring brown grey RTS/WRPG shit will never be better than console gaming.
VIVA LA PLAYSTATION.
VIVA LA JRPG
I'm not an obnoxious mustard rice faggot, so I shouldn't be on /v/.
What the fuck are you even saying? "Mustard rice"? Is that some kind of /v/ lingo?
Are you me?
In fact, its happening for all of the Tales game I own as well.
>69 Atelier for PS3
>None of them can touch the Iris trilogy on PS2
Shig, Dig, Whip, Dick.
Third game was shit. Nice opening though
2nd the was best in the trilogy.
Another example of Arland only faggots.
>tfw no Juris in Eschatology
He's the Sterk of Atelier Ayesha.
By the end of his character quests, he clearly wants Ayesha's V.
And by saying he is the Sterk, I mean he only has SUFFERING in store for him. Watch him be miserable in the third game once it's announced around march.
Cut him some slack. Juris doesn't think that he can talk to animals.
At least not yet.
Oh boy, I can't wait for it to be shit.
Finally Atelier gets its rightful place on /a/.
Are the games good?
But yeah, they're good.
The Iris / Mana Khemia series are your standard sorta linear JRPG fare with a fun Alchemy System.
The Arland and Dusk Series are more in line with the traditional Atelier games. With greater focus on exploration/alchemy rather than JRPG adventures and shit.
Wat. The few FF OVAs sure, but Advent Children? Really?
Another great anime for spring? Best season of the year once again.
>imb4 it's directed by Seiji Kishi
HAHAHA DON'T YOU FUCKING REMIND ME OF THAT OVA
oh wait, it never existed.
He would actually do a nice job. Because things with post-apocalyptic setting like the Dusk series are his forte and most of his well received works are of the same setting.
Besides, it's really hard to fuck up a series that isn't that too heavy on plot like the Atelier series.
I hope the character designs for the anime at least somewhat resemble Hidari's.
GUST always reveals the next Atelier game in march.
Since the anime is starting in April, you think the anime will help tie in or lead up into the third game?
Badass Keitgriff Educated Ayesha where?
I think I've seen this pattern before.
I thought people enjoyed
neptunia when it aired
I still don't know why Cloche and Jaqli are so fucking strong while Luca has nothing to do at all.
Something about being a slut.
All Reivateils are sluts, what else is new?
They should've at least give Luca something equal to Replakia.
Jakuri is easily the best girl in the trilogy. Second best is Tilia..
> All Reivateils are sluts
Shut your trap.
What do you have against Cocono?
So I don't have to buy the game ?
Too bad for them, it was the only interesting entry in this serie.
Can the tsusndere or saske's waifu do this?
>meh track record
Nigga, what the fuck are you saying.
So what do you think KCET will half ass this time?
>In before the studio fuck up the char design like Haganai or Maouyu
Fuck why can't they adapt char design like SHAFT.
I can't even look at this picture without hearing insults in my head anymore.
It's Studio Gokumi.
They always are faithful to the designs in adapted works.
Dunno about you, but they still looked Buriki as fuck.
>They will never produce a anime based on the Iris trilogy
I never played the recent Atelier games but I remenber having tons of fun playing Atelier Iris on my old ps2.
Are the new ones worth playing?
Iris theme was adventure with the help of alchemy.
PS3 ateliers more focus on the alchemy part and time management.
Still in my opinion Iris 2 was the best Atelier.
>Iris 2 was the best Atelier.
It was the best Iris for sure. Viese is the purest Atelier. I mean, just look at how she dresses. The only skin you see is her fingers and the nape of her neck.
But personally, of all the Atelier games, the Dusk series have the best setting.
That's not Elie
Yeah, that's why i said it's only my opinion. I still need to play Eschatology first. Also
>You will never have a pure waifu who willingly come to another dimension to search for your dead body
>Open Slit Skirt
>Was a raging lesbian even before the Arland Girls.
Yeah no. Elfir a Slut.
Oh sure call her pure.
But I bet Felt rams his dick into her pussy every night while Iris watches.
Why do you think Iris grew up to be fucked up? Inadvertently causing much of the shit in Atelier Iris 1.
>while Iris watches.
You mean she bring Iris to the bed so they can have orgy.
>do so much damage to the final boss with Replakia Phantasmagoria it fucking heals them.
Haha oh wow.
Why is Kishida so batshit insane?
Oh yeah definitely, the Dusk setting is pretty great. I'm happy Escha & Logy goes more into it.
He is Sterk.
she's fucking bland
He nailed the suffering down at least.
It might be nostalgia goggles, but I loved it when I watched it.
