Is there a chance that the light novels will be released in the States? Or is Haruhi not popular enough to the non-fansub-following population? And if so, would you buy them? I was just thinking about how expensive it is to print the novels (ran through all of my ink 3/4ths through the first novel!) and how inconvenient it is.
no, why buy them when it's on my hdd
there probably isn't any chance that the light novels will translated, as it is generally harder to translate them than a manga series.
Already translated, all those who wanted to read it already it.
I don't see why not. there's a buttload of more unpopular series having their novels released here.
viral marketing is viiiiiiral
Nah, it's more likely because light novels are getting somewhat popular. Haruhi did well on the DVD sales despite the floundering animu DVD market.
I wouldn't be surprised that there's a bidding war over the novel as we speak.
Use a laser printer, retard.
Bid war. Would buy. Do want.
Why does OP's image haunt me so?
Japan has been moving media to the U.S for quite awhile but Light novels are a bit of cultural market,
It would be nice to have the physical copy
I can only read for so long on a monitor
If the Shakugan no Shana novels could gain enough attention to be be worth releasing in the States then I can't see why the Suzumiya Haruhi novels wouldn't.
No, a few light novels hae been published IN AMERICA like Kino
Someone needs to translate the Wolf & Spice novels.
If the NHK novel can be released, not to menion motherfucking Strawberry Panic and Boogiepop and whatever the hell else Seven Seas is doing, then so can Haruhi.
all the recent novels are quite a few years old themselves, give it another couple and Haruhi would probably come.
