I almost teared up at the first episode already, /a/. Am I in for an emotional rollercoaster? Or does it turn to shit?
Watch the show and you'll find out.
It does not turn to shit, it's the best anime ever made after all. Keep watching that shit
I never understood why people said that this was emotional.
It felt pretty mediocre and boring.
How can fucking toddlers produce such drama?
The ending is pretty fucking sad.
Also fuck Yukiatsu, Fucking faggot.
The only thing I remember from this anime was all the threads about what a slut anal was when she was seen coming out at the hotel or whatever. That was a good week.
I never understood of Menma's ghost was supposed to be grown up or not.
The first episode is great.
The next episode is okay.
Then it swiftly goes to complete shit and if you cry at the ending you're a sap.
The huge gaping plot hole basically killed my enjoyment of the show. I mean WTF? If Menma could physically affect objects, why doesn't Jintan make her do this in order to prove her presence to his friends? It was somewhat "cleared up" by acknowledging that Jintan and Menma are not that smart, but that is a barely satisfactory explanation. They simply had to be idiots to not realize that. Bad writing. Bad writing killed the drama.
Intending to do so. If rest of the show is anything like the first episode I'll probably watch the entire thing before the end of the day. We'll see though.
there are way too many series that do this, for example in Valvrave when they are revealed to be not human instead of explaining why they go "B-But its not our fault, we had to~" which just results in them being in even deeper shit
Second episode was the pokemon one, which was great. Things get bad after that.
This is one of the two cartoon drama that made me cry.
This and the wan piss chopper arc but I was pretty young when I saw it.
This show would be nothing without its ED.
I like the OP more
OP here, I agree with this, the OP is amazing so far. Didn't really pay a lot of attention to the ED admittedly but the OP got my attention.
This show could have been over in 3-4 episodes and been better for it.
Why on earth it took an entire cour is beyond me.
My nigga the OP is fucking great and I prefer it to the ED.
If you teared up on the first episode, you're gunna be wrekced by the time it ends.
God tier ED.
Hopefully the movie does a good job of shoving everything together
It took me 5 minutes to type in this fucking capcha holy shit moot please
the first few episodes were utter bullshit if you ask me. but i didn't realise what i was in for at this moment. the build up was slow but decent. and then..boom!!
i was shooting tears out my eyes at 1000 mph like little bitch, completely expelling any water my body had stored.
i regret nothing
5-2 ver with Yuu Kobayashi was better.
>Having expectations from an Okada original work
g8 b8 m8
Ok so I just listened to the ED, it's very good but the OP beats it. OP is probably one of the best OP songs I've heard to be honest.
the OP for the reair was pretty cool too
It's just poor man's Little Busters.
Little Busters is boring as shit though, at least the 4 first episodes are, dropped it after that.
The anime doesn't exist. Play the VN.
Infinite Ryvius was funny like that too except the people that forced them to be on the run got punished in the end
Forced drama: The Anime.
Have you seen the Movie yet? Do I need to watch the anime before the movie? Or is fine to only watch the movie
>Judging LB by the anime
>If you teared up on the first episode, you're gunna be wrekced by the time it ends.
>God tier ED.
Seriously, I cried like a little girl watching it.
Just wait until you listen to the ED coming up during the last scene of each episode for a while. You'll be like Pavlov's dog except instead of a bell and saliva it'll be Kimi to Natsu no Owari and tears.
People say it's very emotional.
I can't say that because I didn't cry.
Because I'm dead in the inside.
Having lost someone whon I loved with all of my heart, I teared up at the OP the first time.
I still do
Is the movie even subbed yet?
Ano Hana > Clannad > WA2
I don't know. They will show it in my country on Saturday and I want to know if we need to watch the anime before the movie. I already watched it but some people that interested in the movie haven't seen it
You didn't get one single position right, congratulations.
I felt it was a slow downhill. I liked the first ep but each successive one got worse.
Show it? As at the cinema? Which country do you live in?
And I don't know if you need to watch the show beforehand, I think the movie is supposed to cover the entire story. Not sure though.
Mexico. Yes, at cinemas, tomorrow is the first showing and then during all January and February
Update: Just checked MAL, it says this:
"The story of the TV series will be retold from Menma's point of view, and premieres in the summer of 2013."
Holy shit I didn't even know about this.
Still tickets available for Chicago. I might just do it.
It is a recap and an epilogue afaik.
Same thing happened to me, anon.
You're in for a sad, bittersweet ride.
That's some quality mad you have there.
Anyone excited for the movie?
It can't be anything short of great so hell yes.
She's half-grown, and looks younger than everyone else, because she is dead and therefore half a person. She can only be made whole when allowed to re-enter the karmic cycle and incarnated. She needs to die a second death.
