Comfy animes only in this thread, please.
Watching Natsume is the equivalent of being in a cabin during winter & you're sitting in your favorite chair in front of a roaring fire enjoying a warm cup of apple cider or some hot chocolate.
/a/ never talks about Natsume. I wonder why.
OVA coming soon, I'm happy.
Because /a/ doesn't talk about good anime. Did you ever see /a/ talk about Mushishi? Saraiya Goyou? Eve no Jikan? Spring and Chaos? Tatami Galaxy in not shitposting manner "lel, only hipsters liked that shit"?
No, you didn't.
/a/ does talk about good anime though.
I assume they don't talk about most of those shows because they aren't airing. /a/ was talking about Mushishi recently, about the OVA and about the second season announcement.
Natsume has an OVA coming though, and the last season is not even two years gone now. And the manga continues.
It feels good to know that this anime will probably get a sequel.
It was really good, I was quite surprised.
>/a/ does talk about good anime though
only when it's airing. when it's done, the thread would be like 'yes this anime is good' and everyone agrees and the thread ends there
Let's be honest here. I love comfy shows, but when I began to feel the gay vibes from Natsume, I started to stop caring about the show. I prefer Mushishi.
While there are, indeed, gay vibes, they almost lampshaded and joked at.
And, I assure you, Natsume is entirely hetero (except for the fox. Everyone is gay for the fox).
>they almost lampshaded
Blame the word auto-completion.
I fucking love Natsume Yuujincho. It's good for the soul, I tell ya.
Pic related is pretty cozy as well.
Natsume is non-sexual. He just wants to be platonic friends, not romantic friends.
I agree with you on the part that /a/ has shit taste, but this kind of shows are too episodic. They make for excellent discussions when airing, but later on is very difficult to discuss them.
There were some threads when it was airing, but it died down due to landwhales finding the threads and spamming homoshit. It's a shame too that a good show has to deal with something like that.
It'd be nice if /a/ got less buttblasted about BL shipping.
All it takes it is the whiff that an anime might be liked by a demographic that /a/ despises, and /a/ has to hate the anime and prevent it from being part of acceptable discussion.
>Complains about people against BL shipping.
>posts a BL image.
Fuck you. You are the cause why Natsume threads went to shit. I don't want to see BL shit in my threads. Gaylords scum you know where to go, you have your own threads.
> posts a BL image
How is this a BL image? It's as tame or tamer than what's actually in the story. Or I guess you want to deny that Natsume and Tanuma are close friends who care a lot about each other?
> complains against people against BL shipping
This is a bad thing? /a/ is full of whiners, I'm not less entitled to whine about the whiners than the whiners are.
> I don't want to see BL shit in my threads.
If this picture is your definition of BL shit then actually talking about the show sounds like it'd be mighty difficult.
>You are the cause why Natsume threads went to shit.
I wasn't around for those threads, you can't blame me for them, good or ill.
Fuck off fujoshit.
You knew full well that this is the reaction you'd get out of that image and that is exactly why you posted it. You're not fooling anyone.
You dumb cunts ruined the threads with your shipping wars and other delusional bullshit. Keep that shit in tumblr where you belong.
Makes me want to rent a basement and play jazz with my buddies
I finally got around to watch Tamako Market recently. Comfy as fuck.
It was really good when it was about jazz.
The dramashit, especial with the ending was much less good, but it was mostly forgiven after that church duet.
Hidamari is wonderfully comfy, especially the first two seasons.
This. Every single word, I agree with this. It looked like it was going to be a rather shit ending (and I guess it kind of was, regardless) and then the church duet happened & I had tears in my eyes & I dopey little faggoty smile on my face and could mostly forget the lame shit that had went down beforehand.
Hidamari is all about coziness.
Shaft's addition of the requisite bath scene in virtually every episode is another way that they reinforce this day-in-day-out feeling.
The episodic nature really works in the series favor though, I think. If it had a 'proper story arc' driving the whole thing (there is clear character development though so, in spite of it's episodic nature, it really isn't a show that can be watched in a random order I think) I don't think it would be as comfy & possibly not as good either.
The ending was too open for my taste. Two more minutes and they could have written a conclusive ending instead of just leaving it to our imagination.
What benefit would there be in that?
Open endings are a weak cop out. Why even bother writing a story if you have no idea how you want it to end?
>Did you ever see /a/ talk about Mushishi?
It indeed barely got any threads while it was airing, and it doesn't fit here because it isn't good. Slow, melancholy atmosphere =/= automatic good show. It's really just fucking boring.
>Eve no Jikan?
Yes, a lot.
>Spring and Chaos?
>Tatami Galaxy in not shitposting manner
Yes, a lot. Threads while it was airing had good posts. The tripfag that started them was full of himself, but the threads were fine, and huge.
Tamako Market, Comfy as fuck.
I can name a lot more of those shows. It's just that I'm sure someone will accuse me that I'm intentionally cherrypicking obscure examples.
>not liking Saraiya Goyou
I bet you didn't like Hyouge Mono either. No ad hominem intended, though.
You're right, I didn't like Hyouge Mono. I did like it more than Five Leaves though.
certainly better than KnK too.
KyoAni should just stick to adapting FMP and Haruhi when it comes to doing shows that are on the more serious-like side.
Samurai Champloo was comfy. The chilled out music is really relaxing.
What could be the best subs for that show?
watch it without subs.
What they say isnt that relevant.
There was Mazui and rori, pretty sure Mazui was more popular.
KnK was absolutely terrible. When I see mal reviews that put a 10/10 on it I want to die a little bit more.
Thank you. I'll try Mazui.
Exactly how I feel about Aria.
Gingitsune was okay I guess.
