ITT: Series you could proudly show to normal fags, seirei no moribito is mine.
Why would you do that?
Seirei no Moribito was pretty cool though.
this is what I use as a gateway to any of my friends that express an interest
How is it story wise ?
Not a series, but Lupin the Third: Castle of Cagliostro is somehow very watchable with normalfags.
>you accidentally show your power level
>college peers /professors think of you as retarded for watching animu
shit like that
Shin Sekai Yori.
Cowboy Bebop is an obvious answer.
>show to normal fag
>"Oh, big tits and spear fights!"
>no spear fights
>basically no tits
>"That was pretty disappointing."
I thought it was FMA
Thinly veiled recommendation thread.
Twelve kingdoms, Katanagatari, Montecristo, quite a few movies.
Berserk, because is the kind of thing you can show to make people think you are into high fantasy so they think you are just another LOTR D&D nerd.
At least that is best that the impression they would get if you showed them the series you actually watch.
If you lurk the board every thread has recommendations.
>recommending he lurk
We gettin' meta up in here, bitches.
You have good taste but I don't think normalfags would want to sit through all 45 episodes of Juuni Kokuki.
>/ss/ the SOL
>to a normalfag
good luck with that buddy.
You have a mc seeking redemption, a land about to be fucked up by a spiritual world inspired by shamanic traditions, political and ethical questions arise, you make the math.
I have shown Psycho-Pass to people show don't watch anime.
They loved it.
It promises bad-ass spear-fightin' scenes. You get not nearly as many as you wanted, and a lot of talk about eggs.
while the number of fights is lower than most people expect, the quality of the fights is superb
everything from the choreo to the animation is great, really amazing fight scenes
If it got a dub I probably would show it to someone.
With that quality I think I could make myself a dub, because there is only one VA.
Get better peers.
>watching snb for the fights, not the plot
>not watching something like this instead, since action is the main interest
>Hanging out with the nerds in your college.
Nothing wore than than.
Had great success with Psycho-Pass. It doesn't hurt that you can discuss about that show's future tech independently of the plot.
Watched Garden of Words with some architect/designer dudes. The art style interested them.
Code Geass is kind of OK too. Most people, I found, are fine with mecha anime.
Without the Japanase ther ir no way to tell that IC is anime, you could get away with calling it random videos on the internet: the masterpiece.
>implying nerds aren't the most judgmental bunch around
Normalfags couldn't care less about what you watch in your spare time.
literally any anime that was ever on cartoon network
Well I can tell you that Upotte doesn't work.
>thinly-veiled normalfag recommendation thread
>people actually answer
Those are probably the best options imo.
My local theater holds a Ghibli week right now, and it was pretty packed for howl's moving castle and nearly full for Spirited Away.
Hell, even my mom wanted to re-watch SpAway.
Master of Martial Hearts.
Sekirei is a great place to start for most people.
