Tell me /a/, why do you read and watch Shoujo and Josei anime/manga?

Why do you like shit targeted at fujoshi?

(yes, Sailor Moon is targeted at fujoshi, look at the male characters)
>>
Because I like them. You can't talk shit about Honey and Clover.
>>
Last shoujo manga I read was Fushigi Yuugi. I read it because Miaka and Nuriko looked cute.

Fujoshi doesn't mean what you think it means.
>>
>>100224493

>implying there are no yaoi fanfictions of Sailor Moon
>>
Because I read what's actually good and don't give a shit about who made it and who it's targeting.
>>
BISHOUNEN ART=FUJOSHI
BREAKING NEWS!
>>
>>100224603
theres yaoi fanfictions about every show with at least 2 male characters

whats your point?

thats like saying sailor moon panders to scat fetish because theres fan art of that
>>
>>100224691

Look at the male characters you fucking retard.

>>100224726

see above

"Perfect" male characters is a characteristic of shows targeted at fujoshi
>>
>>100224493

Sailor Moon Anime was full with gay. It was ok and fun too.

I fucking hate the lack of diversity now because WAIFU MUST REMAIN PURE OR NO HOMO OR JUST FRIENDS. Fuck that shit.
>>
>>100224686

Josei and Shoujo stuff makes me uneasy personally, unless it involves a lot of moe girls like in the case of Sailor Moon.

Oh how I wish the two genres didn't turn into homoerotica...
>>
>>100224829
>genres
Retard.

I bet tons of people don't even realize a large chunk of Junji Ito's work is josei.

You didn't enjoy Utena, Gankutsuou or Fate/Zero?

No, but that may have something to do with the fact that I browse /pol/.

You don't even know what a fujoshit is. Please educate yourself, use google, wikipedia or whatever and stop being so fucking retarded. It's painful to see. Thank you.

I'm a female 3DPD, so I like husbandos, so animes/mangas full of husbandos are more likely to appeal to me, it's not rocket science.
However I'm not going to watch any shitty otome game adaption, I need a bit of substance apart from the cute boys/men.

I don't even like most shoujos, heroines tend to be so dull and beta I can't relate to them.

Sportshits are the best for husbandos along with sengoku Basara.

Fujoshi watch shows that have A LOT of beautiful male characters, such of Prince of Tennis.
They need those shipping wars to live.

Please educate yourself next time before posting stupid shit.
>>
Nothing personal but the yaoi shit in most Josei/Shoujo stuff irks me.
>>
>>100225437

Still though, watching something targeted at females?

For what reason?
>>
>>100225494
I do not and I hate shoujo and josei just as much I hate shounen.

I'm only here to remind you not to be a retard.
>>
>>100225561

Okay sorry, I probably should have used a better example such as Fruits Baskets, which apparently has a large male following despite an almost all-male cast except the MC who's a grill.

Why do people on /a/ like that yaoi-filled shit?
>>
OH MY GOD GUYS
GUYS I FOUND SOMETHING OUT TODAY
USAGI = BUNNY
>>
>>100225614

we don't speak its name

stop reminding me of the ending
>>
>>100225609
>almost all-male cast
>impossible for men to enjoy
Next you're going to say that LoGH is for women even though it's basically everything women don't like.
>>
>>100225859

The characters in Fruits Basket are all implied gay.

That is not the case with LoGH.

Stop with the shitty analogies.
>>
>>100225911
>LOGH
>not gay
>>
I self insert as the main male because I want to know what it would feel like to have a relationship
>>
>>100226066

>main male
>shoujo/josei

Unless you like yaoi... I have some bad news for you
>>
Because it's sterile and I like the taste.
>>
>>100226089
I only read the shoujo manga where it's basically about the relationship between the male and female mains, like KnT and Kaichou wa maid sama
>>
>>100226371

Oh, I didn't actually know that existed...

Do women even read romantic manga with straight relationships these days?
>>
>>100226505
I have no clue. Someone is buying it though.
>>
Honey and Clover and His and Her Circumstances are pretty much my favourite anime of all time. You can't talk shit about them feels.

I love all sorts of anime, but especially if something is shoujo AND well written/made. They're usually written by females and I actually enjoy the female perspective from time to time, moreso in anime/manga than anything else. I mean look, the only other series that kind of touches on the sort of subjects in the anime/manga I mentioned before and does it well is Aku no Hana, and that seems to rely on how fucked up the characters are without any real beauty to balance out the angst.

Please examples to prove me wrong, I'd love that.
>>
>>100226700
>them feels
>>
>>100226700
Btw if I'm not wrong, Aku no Hana is targeted at males.
>>
>>100226725

stop it /a/
>>
I started reading them because I like how shoujo did comedy, it made me laugh a lot more than comedies aimed at boys.
Now I read it because I prefer romcoms with multiple couples than harems (even if I still watch some harem anime).
>>
>>100226700

You don't care about the >implied gay characters?

Tell me anon, do you read and watch romantic books and movies? Most (if not all of them) are targeted at females.

>>100226810
Just asking, how old are you to care about at who something is aimed to?

As long as what you read/watch is something you like, you shouldn't be bothered if it's for girls (or for boys).
>>
>>100226960

M-maybe you have a point...
>>
>>100224397
Because it tends to be more character based than its counter part. I shon't go looks specifically for that genre but if the premise sounds interesting and the story is sound I don't see a need to tailor my interests towards a demographic. Now fuck off faggot.
