Good god, Sakura is FUCKING STUPID.
Damn it Tomoyo, why didn't you just tell her then? Fail.
I liked the scene where she's telling Shaoran that he should confess to Sakura and she says "some feelings are best left in the heart" while looking at her reflection in the tea, though.
I DON'T FOLLOW.
Sakura = Shirou
Fucking hypocrite. This is what happens when you let fear control your life.
Haha, stupid dyke.
Not really. She knows she doesn't have a chance with Sakura in that sense, so she holds off. There's a difference between not trying because you're afraid of failure and not trying because you know you can't win, though sometimes people will say they're doing the latter to cover up that it's actually the former.
Once again, rape is the answer.
How can I feel no need to rape her, just to give her deep platonic love?
>She knows she doesn't have a chance
Why? She never even tried. She just accepted it as a given?
consent is edgy.
Yes, because thats what the "I just want my beloved to be happy" trope is all about.
You see, there are *rules* to storytelling. You aren't allowed to break them. The shy girl being forever in the shadows is a very specific anime one.
A character decides that he or she would do all they can to see the person they like be happy rather than doing their best to end up with that person. Thus, the character acts against his or her own interests, often supporting relationships between their beloved and another person.
If a straight guy chooses to do this, expect one of two things to occur: some variation of "If You Ever Do Anything To Hurt Her," or the girl to turn around and decide she wants to be with him anyway, as a reward for his virtue. Unfortunately, seeing as the latter reduces the woman to a prize to be won for good behavior, it doesn't always make the audience happy...

That's Madison Taylor from Cardcaptors, right?
>You aren't allowed to break them.
Yes you are, it just doesn't end well a good percentage of the time.
Yeah, those aren't actual rules, they're more like guidelines.
The amount of times they continue to crop up even if 99% of the fanbase loathes them would lead me to believe that they must be hard encoded laws that are broken under penalty of death. I can't think of any other reason as to why someone would butcher their own show.
It worked in Kanazuki no Miko
YOU FUCKING SICK BASTARD
