Would you consider it embarrassing if you were forced to introduce your little sister/cousin/grandma/other relatives to the last anime you watched?
>Not too bad, it's just CSI with ma-
Never mind. This would be very embarrassing.
No, it's actually pretty normalfag friendly.
Not really, they'd just call it weird and walk away.
Other than the misc panty shots, nah. Its pretty cool.
>Kill la Kill
hozuki no reitetsu
>"oh it's like a cartoon about chinese mythology, how interesting"
>"uh, yeah sure, why not"
not that bad
Yes I would.
Not at all.I'll force them to like it.
Fuck you anon I'm tired
It'd be alright.
>Panty & Stocking
This may get a little awkward...
gonna need to skip that groping scene
>denpateki na kanojo
THAT OUGHTTA BE FUN
Nah. Everyone I know would hate it but I couldn't care less.
Ghost in the Shell.
Not really. They might not enjoy it, but it's one of the least embarrassing things I have watched that I can think of.
someone who I didn't particularly like in irl once has to explain watching KnJ to his family
I don't know how he isn't in jail
10 Minutes ago sure
>Witch Craft Works
Now? Hell no
>Masters of Martial Hearts Ep1
I've been in tears laughing the entire episode.
>Ace of Diamond
Nope, they don't watch sports, but sports anime is so much better.
>La Blue Girl
Okay I'll just get the noose ready
Hell no. They need to experience the iyashikei.
My littler sister is the one who got me to watch it.
They'd be confused.
They would be bored on the first minutes.
Well, that would be interesting
>Saikin Imouto no Yousu....
More likely than not.
>tonari no seki-kun
could be worse i guess
If I could choose one show for my family/friends to watch, it would be Mushishi. There's no fanservice, it's episodic, it has a good dub, it's intelligent without being pretentious, the soundtrack and visuals are pleasant, and it follows the basic medical drama format of many Western shows. Literally the perfect series to convince people you're not a weirdo for watching anime.
> Fairy Tail
Honestly, not too bad at all. Although it is occasionally overtly sexual.
And The Devil Is A Part-Timer before that. Once again, not too bad
There's a few questionable moments but all of my male relatives would love it at least.
I thought everyone was ok with yuri. I'd disown my family if they weren't okay with 2d girls loving 2d girls.
Outlaw Star, nope.
Great Teacher Onizuka? Even though it has a lot of crude humor, not really. It's too damn funny and heartwarming.
Yes, very embarrassing.
I'm sure at least one of my little cousins would enjoy mecha
>Pilot Love Song
It's pretty normal so it should be fine.
>Kuroko no Basuke
nah I'm good. Sports anime are usually tame.
>The pilots love song
>JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012)
Nope, both of my parents read it before, my dad likes action anime, my mom and sister like anything even remotely related to vampires. My grandparents would just shrug it off.
no i showed it to grandad yetserday
>The pilots love song
I think they would rather enjoy it.
Nope. They'd maybe even enjoy it.
>Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai!
>Shin Sekai Yori
No problem except the homo part.
I don't know
Easily, now if it were sakura trick I'd be in trouble
Might be nice
I watched Kiss X Sis with my cousin, so no.
Oh man...I am jealous
Noir, so no I wouldn't really consider it embarrassing.
All of my sisters are fucking weebs, so that wouldn't be fair.
Now, I'm quite sure I could get my dad to watch Ippo. As for my mom/other relatives, yeah, it would be a bit more difficult/awkward.
If we're talking parents, nah it'd be fine. That series was great.
Other relatives, fuck no. Not any Anime, unless it was some Miyazaki movie I guess.
Probably laughs at me for still watching stuff like that
My mom likes tanoshii so why the fuck not.
Im actually contemplating how to get my brother into anime. I wish we could laugh at Yuru Yuri together like we do about youtube vids.
>Sayonara Zetsubou sensei
Nah, I'll just tell them it's a cartoon commentating todays society, like those newspaper comics.
I introduced my friend to Higurashi.
We watched S1 and S2 together.
At the end he whispered,
>what the fuck did I just watch
>Kuroko no Basuke
Not at all. Hell, they might even enjoy it.
No, it's good.
It's not too embarrassing. Could be worse.
On a related note, I often see nightmares about watching TV with my grandfather when some anime starts showing. He's the kind of unreasonable guy, who's really critical with TV-shows and considers most popular western series of today to be "insane". And if you watch those shows, then there's obviously something wrong with you as well. He's actually kinda like /a/non in that sense.
I did see him watch dubbed Totoro one day on TV, though he fell asleep in the middle of it, but that's probably the most he could handle.
>Gundam Build Fighters
Probably a little yes, although my small cousins might like the fights and stuff.
>Non Non Biyori
If they don't like it I'll stop going to family get-togethers. Oh wait.
Didn't mean to quote. It's that got deng quick reply.
>last show you watched
Seems like it's Kurokoball.
They just probably wouldn't care. My otouto might like it.
>yosuga no sora
eehh, as long as they don't finish it I would be fine.
Is it just me or did a shitload of people pick up Martial Hearts within the past two days?
I go years without seeing a peep about it and now I've seen it in three separate threads within twelve hours.
A-at least it won't make me look like a pedophile, ri-right?
>rewatching madoker magichurr
Maybe a little, they're all so kawaii
I might be able to talk my way out of this.
Sex references: The animation
I think in the last dozen or so shows I've watched, the only one I could show to normal people was Hozuki no Reitetsu.
It would confuse everyone but at least I could get away with my dignity more or less intact.
K-ON is extremely normalfag friendly, the second season particularly so.
>Eve no Jinkan
(Watched all 6 in a row.) No embarrassment -- getting quite into subtle-Sci-Fi / modern AI flicks.
wouldn't be bad at all
Kill la kill ..
This'll be interesting
My grandma would probably like Kill la Kill. I come from a long line of freaks.
>Wake Up Girls
Holy shit i'd rather eat my own fecal matter
I'd really want to show KLK to someone, but I know they'd all be like, "uguu why don't these bitches wear clothes, why won't they put on some clothes, I can't take this seriously or concentrate on anything because these drawn people are nekkid baww".
When did showing some skin become such a terror to "normal" people?
Considered that the thing i've watched right before that was Seikai, i'd be glad to have this over the second-to-last anime watched.
>last anime I watched is an episode of Paranoia Agent I watched with them
I would die
Understandable, KLK is pandering trash.
>even considering showing anime to them
>creating meta threads
As long as you showed it to someone young, you should be fine. I only watched a bit of the OVA, but it has an university setting, right? Sex jokes alone should be fine as long as it doesn't sexualize children.
I think they would like Mushishi.
Not anime. Not manga.
>Being an orphan
It's really fucked up, sort of maggot/shit fetish sex jokes though right?
It's no Friends, anyway.
Well, my older relatives/siblings/cousins might like it...
I think it would be fine if you picked one of the less juvenile comedy episodes. The srsbusiness fighting arcs or the lolpoop episodes would be embarrassing to show to a relative as they're more obviously aimed at children. I wouldn't want my family to know that I watched it.
On the other hand, Gintama at its worse is more palatable than Ro-Kyu-Bu.
why is he so lewd here
what the fuck man im not gay stop it
>mfw I did the opposite of you.
My cousin with her husband and daughter were coming for christmass and were politely not asking anything about pretty half-unressed PVC ladies all over the place.
I'm kind of "yes i fap to this, problems?" guy. And i show pics of that stuff to friends.
You have seen nothing yet.
>mfw I skipped this episode
I fucking knew it would be gay
a hotspring episode in a show with barely any girls?
Boy, you're insecure.
I already showed Isao Takahata's Anne of Green Gables to my mother and she liked it.
>my mother has better taste than /a/
They might wonder why I'm watching a show about little girls in school but it's not overly sexualized and has some broadly appealing comedy. I'd be alright.
I have already watched Sword of the Stranger with my dad, I gave my sister a bunch of Ghibli movies and other gateway series that aren't too violent and I gave my cousin Kino no Tabi as a birthday present not so long ago (turned out he had already seen it but was grateful to get it in physical form).
There was a "worst anime you've ever seen" thread a couple of days ago and the definitive answer turned out to be Master of Martial Hearts.
Or maybe you both have shit taste?
It runs in the family, you know?
>Highschool of the Dead
Already tried to watch it with my mom. She only made it 2 episodes and dropped it because of the zombies. I remember being 10 and she showed me Return of the Living Dead 2. She saw it on Netflix and was curious so I headed over to watch it with her cause vet since I was 10 we watched zombie movies. It was awkward when I called Roach a cunt...
I...what? what the fuck is going on in that picture?
>I'm kind of "yes i fap to this, problems?" guy. And i show pics of that stuff to friends.
They must be some really good friends if they can look at pictures of you masturbating to figurines and still talk to you.
>she also liked Gauche the Cellist
>particularly the cat
You missed out.
I have to admit that scene made me fucking uncomfortable. N-no homo.
Dropped it because if fan service, she was interested in the zombies. My bad.
This shit is so gay. What were they thinking?
i showed my father kuroko no basuke on the part with blue first meeting tyga and died laughing when he saw blue do crazy tricky shit and said "nigga is that kobe" and hes a white male in his 40's
Ah, now makes more sense.
>mom watch Highschool of the dead
>likes zombie movies
>drop after 2 episodes
>Highschool of the Dead is just Fanservice + Zombi
>gundam build fighters
they already know I build gunpla, I don't think it would be that bad
Sounds like a bro.
>Magic Knight Rayearth
Ehh maybe a little, they all know I like that "weird shit" so it's not actually a surprise.
I've even been to Japan and brought back tons of figurines and stuff and they where just like "Those are pretty"
I would like to watch it with them if i had any
Practically zero fanservice ,so it would be fine.
Might be a bit 2deep or slow paced for my family though.
Kuroko is just lewd, man.
That makes sense.
I don't watch anime.
I'm watching Hunter x Hunter every week with my sister. Other relatives would just call it Pokémon/Yugioh.
