>You will never watch Whisper of the Heart for the first time again ;_;
OOOOH CONTRIIII ROOOOOODE
know that feel bro. it's just not the same the second time around
I just fucking watched this yesterday for the first time.
The Japanese rendition of the song was lovely.
Well aren't you lucky.
Part of the magic of the show is at what age you watch it though. Being a young adult is probably best I'd say - too young and you won't fully appreciate the coming-of-age relationships and teenage 'struggles', too old and it'll be pretty dull and likely you'll be more bitter and 'realistic' about life.
TAKE ME HOME!
TO THE PLACE
It's too bad that this will be the only movie it's director ever got to direct
Why are bicycle rides in the early morning so romantic?
>Whisper of the Heart was Kondō's only film as director before his death in 1998. Studio Ghibli had hoped that Kondō would become the successor to Miyazaki and Takahata.
Best Ghibli film. Prove me wrong.
This movie was at a major point in my life and it helped me change it forever.
First time or not, I'd always love it.
Well I guess it's a good thing that Miyazaki will never step down for someone to succeed him.
Best Miyazaki work.
or even better, I will never watch it
Princess Mononoke is best Miyazaki and best Ghibli, but I really liked Whisper of the Heart for its sincere and patient portrayal of an age where you feel your life is turning to something else.
Joke's on you, I've never seen it for the first time.
>tfw they made a spinoff that was completely different
>it sucked donkey balls
It's never too late.
It wasn't that bad but it's certainly one of the weakest Ghibli's
Tempted to watch it again in English after I found out the dub has Anne Hathaway and Tim Curry in it
I wonder how she felt about the film. Then again it's probably not the weirdest one she's been in.
It is not Laputa or Porco Rosso.
