Too many shows airing, not enough time to sift through them finding the good stuff.
What do I do? Pick at random?
>Pick at random?
this image was the sole reason i picked up Archer. no regrets.
You should be able to tell which shows are good by looking at the charts.
very good series
>this image was the sole reason i picked up Archer. no regrets.
I hate to admit it, but me too.
I ended up enjoying the shit out of Archer, luckily. Dialog is fucking amazing.
>by looking at the charts.
>by looking at what's popular
The charts miss quite a few gems.
My instincts must not be tuned out then. I always dropped at least 5 shows, back when I could try almost anything that aired.
Not to mention it's kind of hard to judge a show based on 5 or 6 lines plus the studio.
Make time to sift through.
forcing yourself to watch anime works about as inconsistently as with normal shows. just put it on TV so you can do other stuff when you want.
You guys do realize it's making fun of you weaboos, right? It isn't a compliment
Read some reviews.

Who's taking it as one? Doesn't mean those scenes aren't hilarious.
>"Don't judge me on the how, until you've seen the why."
>*gasp* Coorygah-san I nevah joogah yoo!
>"Well your mother sure as hell does!"
Gets me every fucking time.
Is there some reputable anime critic?
Maybe someone like Roger Ebert but for anime?
And? One of the foundations of being one of us is that you hate yourself. A well-written joke at the expense of weird Japanophile manchildren is the thing we love most.
Peer reviews are your best friend. Therefore, /a/ is all the authority you need on anime. See what gets called shit, then watch it. See what gets called 10/10 magical experience never to be replicated in a genre or medium, then watch it. Waifu war threads? You best watch every fucking series the girls appear in. Best girl from series x? You best believe you better be watching it. A one page thread? Nigger you better fire up some google image search and read every one.
Archer is some of the funniest shit I've ever watched. 10/10 series.
>not enough time to sift through them finding the good stuff.
Honestly if you're posting on this board you should know enough about anime to be able to pick the shows with the most potential just from a quick glance at premise, art, and staff.
If you don't watch Archer you don't know shit about anime.
>Builds a new waifu instead of killing the virus
This happened to be the first episode I watched and as soon as this scene happened I picked it the fuck up. Great series, now I understand all the hype.
Also people don't give Frisky Dingo enough credit than its actually worth.
Pick at random and drop after one episode if the first one isn't any good. Eventually you'll sift it down to a reasonable number that you still have an interest in. Basically try everything and drop the shit.
This is actually pretty funny considering the West have a show about a genius mouse and his dumb friend trying to take over the world.
Most ANN reviewers are very simple minded and quite frankly uneducated.
