Is this a gigantic parody?
>no relationship development whatsoever other than "he's not a bad guy after all i'm in love with him but won't do anything about it"
>new girls keep getting introduced taking away my precious Chitoge time
Nope just a generic harem manga where nothing happens and the author is milking it for a nice paycheck
Sounds good to me, I'll keep watching this.
Are you fucking srs? This could be the next ToraDora. Wasted potential.
chitoge a slut
For all we know it could have an Anime Original Ending (tm) and wrap up the story in a satisfying way.
That being said as long as it's entertaining on a weekly basis I can't find myself to be that upset.
Ehh, it's SHAFT. I'll watch it for unique artsy visuals, feet and headtilts.
If it were a parody, wouldn't it be funny then?
So my guess is: No, they're serious.
I thought this being revenge by the mangaka for cancelling Double Arts but which ironically became much more successful was a common idea around here
Are there any particular elements that makes ToraDora special or is it just a matter of quality?
Yeah, I heard that one as well. The mangaka trying to do the worst possible accumulation of stale stereotypes and clichés in a bitter attempt to cater to the masses, and the masses gobbled the shit up as if there's no tomorrow. I think that broke him. He's sitting somewhere in his dark room, laughing manically and then bursting into treats.
I feel you man! Im getting sick of it too, she realized her feelings fucking 50+ chapters ago, WHY DOES SHE NOT DO ANYTHING. And then that one fucking chapter where she outright states (I guess I can wait for a while....) sigh.
I hope Chitoge and Shuu get more screentime and plot. At this point I just SOMETHING to happen, fucking past 40 chaps have been useless.
It plays every single generic trope so seriously that it loops back and seems like a parody. So, nope.
To be honest, I'm somewhat hoping that the anime version of this goes in a different direction than the manga. The starting chapters were alright but those later chapters... Hopefully the addition of that new anime only character, the plot will diverge into something decent.
I cannotwait for the feets.
I remember one author's not saying the mangaka forgot it was the manga's anniversary or something.
It's just really funny how much he doesn't care and feel dead inside for being a sellout.
He should pull a Kubo and increasingly screw with its faithful audience's suspension of cliche-usage disbelief, then troll them by adding some crazy twist that actually ties the locket plots together and then introducing newer and shittier characters to further screw it over.
Which I kind of feel is already happening. Nisekoi is like pre-Darkness To Love Ru but it somehow feels self-aware, or at least it has the highest cliche/stupidity density I've ever seen in a harem.
A parody of the harem genre by literally using every harem cliche in the book?
It's not a parody. I do expect it to be good, though, since it's SHAFT. Great visuals, and definitely great feet.
>and then bursting into treats.
So you guys are saying its a generic story, with generic characters, that goes on for upwards of 100 chapters and nothing substantial happens? I'm kind of tempted to drop it now knowing nothing interesting is going to happen.
It's a deconstruction of the harem genre
need some good sauce for all that drama please.
Is that why Our Hero is the Lock and not the Key? Because he's the most feminine character in the show?
Okay, what you fucks need to realize is you should be enjoying the ride rather than harping on whether or not "best girl" wins.
I haven't read through the entire manga series but so far the anime looks like it'll at least be decent. I couldn't give two fucks about which girl the mc ends up with. Who the fuck cares? Watch the show and shut up you autistic manbabies.
>I'm kind of tempted to drop it now knowing nothing interesting is going to happen.
Why? Nothing "interesting" really happens in harems anyway. You watch it for the ride as >>100198996 said. And so far Nisekoi looks pretty good.
At least give it the 3 episode rule, you faggot.
Seems like it.
I thought the first episode was great. The manga is very cute and the art is great. It's a reaction face goldmine. Sure the plot isn't going anywhere, but who the hell is reading it for the plot?
I still can't figure out why SHAFT picked it up.
The optimist in me thinks we'll get a great anime original ending, or at the very least something much more interesting than the manga.
Exactly. The manga is enjoyable. Sure it's generic, but it's fun to watch the characters interact with each other. I'm not saying it's a masterpiece, just that it's very enjoyable and a perfect weekly manga since the chapters are short and pretty much episodic.
>No relationship development
>Chitoge hates MC at start of the series
>Actually loves him now
Is this another Nisekoi thread where we tell each other we're dropping it?
Did SHAFT ever do an original ending? As far as I know, they are known for doing almost "panel by panel" adaptations.
Sure, there's that episode at the end of the first season of SZS, but I doubt they did that for something other than trolling. Also, ef, but again different circumstances. Chiriro's route had everything but the ending finalized at the point.
No, at this point it's not enjoyable anymore. Can you really say that seeing Onodera fail to confess for nearly a hundred times is still fun? Because, for me, it's not. In fact, it's frustrating to the point that I, who at the beginning was rooting for her, now just want to see her drown in a pit of loneliness, rejection and despair.
