Is there a place for romance in Bleach?

As we all know, Kubo has been extremely clear in stating that there will never been any love stories in OP. The decision makes perfect sense, of course, given that the series is primarily geared towards school aged males and Kubo doesn't want larger plot interests playing second fiddle to the whims of fans' romantic fantasies.

That said, were there not such a strict barring of any romantic elements in the story, do you feel that OP could work -- perhaps even be better served -- with some unspecified degree of romance? After all, it's a fundamental element of the vast majority of fictional narratives and of life. People like each other and it can make for some very compelling storytelling.

Or do you think Bleach fundamentally could not be the series it is if it allowed for the inclusion of romance?

It's funny because you're making fun of the other thread.

It could work, though.

I don't get what the intention of this thread is anyway
Did you want to move all the Bleach shippers that invaded the other thread to this thread or what
