What should I expect from this anime?
Young girls confused about their sexuality in a cozy atmosphere.
I see, I've done no prior research to this anime, and downloaded raws and waiting for my Mazui download to finish so I can extract the subs.
Cute, cozy and everybody loves somebody
Also fat talking birds, delicious brown girl and moe dads. Also triangles.
I didn’t like episode 1 very much or at all but by episode 3 I was hooked (that Shiori moe overload).
Had some fun on the threads directly after airing/sub released on /a/ once the shitposting settled too.
Relaxation and smiling.
Brown loli butt.
Hottest trap in all anime.
I don't even like traps
two seasons and a movie
They never did come out and say which gender florist-san was! Or did they?
Just finished muxing it so gonna enjoy episode 1, thanks for the insight.
lots and lots of mochi
Can't wait for Tamako Love Story. I can't even fathom what it's going to be like.
>you will never cuddle all Sunday in Kaoru Hanase's fragrant apartment
It's hard to go on like this.
I too wonder which kind of mochi we’ll get for the movie. I love that they’re making more of their worst selling series since Nichijou though.
Brown loli and Mochizou's boypussy.
By the way, since it's not too late are Mazui subs good choice? or does someone recommend a different group?
The last good thing Kyoani made.
The voice actor's a guy, and as an original anime series, there would really be no point to go out of your way to cast a guy in a role for a canon female.
Yeah it’s most likely a man, but they kept it ambiguous iirc and never used gendered language to refer to the character. Usagiyama shopping district is a kind and accepting place so it seems.
To be fair, male characters get female VAs all the time. I do think I agree with you, though.
>all the time
Usually when the character is shota.
>never used gendered language to refer to the character
Does Japan even use gendered language to refer to people? I thought it was a first-person only thing.
That’s mostly to voice young boys though, and trap characters
This anime is cute as fuck so far.
It only gets cuter
I remember everyone shat on it while it aired, but deep down we all loved how moe it was. I can't believe it's already been a year.
I watched this whole fucking show, just because I saw this gif. But the little brown girl got maybe 20 minutes of screen time between all the episodes. I still feel like I wasted my time.
The shitting died down when the threads were just people who liked the show +lolisrdead being really angry about the shota
Post the fit Dera
That's true. I remember when http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rDYwd12EvY was posted in a thread. Choi is moe as fuck.
I should rewatch this show.
I feel you bro. And then that doujin came out and I was left without semen for 2 days.
Looks like your graphics driver settings are fucking up your video quality.
Someone posted Ishidate animating Tamako yesterday and it made me want to revisit the fluffy district too.
These look more like airing/BD differences.
Little did I know she had a little sister.
Seems you are right, but actually I don't really mind it too much.
plus I'm too tired to mess around with the settings.
I would have given it more of a chance if it weren't for the bird. Talking animal sidekicks are one of my major pet peeves, and egotistical ones like this fucker make me want to get violent.
Probably that, I just got the subs from Mazui.
Even this is taking me back because I remember the screenshot comparisons to figure out whose video player/card was fucking up and which was correct.
I'm going to wait until late Autumn rolls around before I rewatch, we'll be closer to the movie BD coming out then too.
Yeah I didn’t like him at first but he got more tolerable later. Still I loved it when the girls put him in his place.
niggers always lose
So nearly a full year?
I've had the problem before and it's a driver setting thing. You can tell because the skin looks bluish. Options such as "brighter whites" and "flesh tone correction" which just mess up the original colors.
Ishidate animating Tamako, was posted here yesterday.
What media player are you using? That could be it.
>subs in Japanese
Is there a site that hosts these? Do Japanese blurays even come with Japanese subtitles generally?
Well American DVD's have English Subtitles.
I'd imagine Japanese Blu-Ray's would.
There are deaf Japanese.
Pa pa pa paaa~
I’ve kind of wanted to go to Kyto to see the settings of some shows I love.
I think there is. I sometimes download from a bilingual Chinese sub group which does JP+CN and has a JP only track.
Any idea where that is? I've been meaning to work on my listening comprehension for a while now.
You were right, but now I'm stuck at which one do I like better...
Just leave the additional "enhancements" off so it's closer to what the original colors are.
Right is sharper in my opinion.
Upper is definitely better.
It probably would be best.
It is, its just preference of whether to have it original or not.
It's less sharp, but I agree that the colors are better balanced and probably more accurate.
Bottom looks too saturated.
Upper is the original without "whiter whites" and whatnot.
Less sharp because "edge enhancement" (which alters the original image) is also turned off.
Even if it were too saturated, it's still more accurate as the gamma is all fucked up in the top image.
>those retarded hands
It’s pretty much exactly the keion style
A cosy, yet slightly mediocre SoL.
Enjoyed it when i finally got around to watching it though. One of the comfiest anime watching experiences in recent times:
3 episodes per night after 4 long days
>Cry in my bosom
made me laugh a little at such a little joke.
I think it was even teatime worthier than many keion teatime scenes.
I found feels in a couple episodes but besides that an average anime.
Meant such a silly joke
When it doesn't have to do with Shiori, Dera's like the least dense character in the show.
He’s pretty hardcore in his adoration of Shiori.
Are you sure that isn’t Anko or coffee/record shop guy?
Imagine if he was in America, he would have exploded by now.
I had to fix that hand.
Yeah, i think so too. I may have not held up as well as K-On! but it sure as hell relaxing to watch...
...And Tamako and Kanna where cute as fuck
What did Midori say again when it turned out it was glasses nerd? 'Anko is a good kid’?
Tamako didn’t get it at all. Denser than the densest mochi.
Luckily the download finished during episode 1 so I'll probably just marathon this anime.
Save some for other days, man
Prolong the mawaru rekoodo
How well do the mazui subs mux though? I’ve been thinking of doing the same
You got a point, I'll probably watch like 4 episodes and then switch to a different series.
Probably Kill La Kill, see what all the hype is about.
So far really good, sometimes there is a little time difference with some signs, but it really isn't a problem.
Kill La Kill is like the antithesis to Tamaket
Yeah, but I just want to watch something.
I've heard good things of the show so thought I'd check it out.
Don’t mess with Kanna
Do you have the raws or Mazui, I can send you the subs.
I have the Mazui subs so I just need to dl a BD raw.
I don't know what it is about this show. I didn't think it did any one thing well, and to hear them described you would think that the individual episodes and the show itself would be boring. And yet, for some reason, the idea of dropping it never even crossed my mind.
They mux surprisingly well though so there shouldn't be a problem.
Some of these were funny but at some point they were overdone
The staff behind one the most popular and best written slice of life anime of all time somehow make the anti-thesis to everything that slice of life should be.
>any good SoL
>main characters are actively guiding and strongly involving themselves in the going-ons of the show, whether it's by reacting to something that's happening to them or doing something that they decided to do on their own
>characters learn and grow from their experiences as the story progresses; by the final episode, they've become wiser several times over than they were at the beginning of episode one
>story is ultimately about change
>passive characters; things happen to them, and they react as mildly as they can while still doing something with said things
>said characters don't grow very much, if at all
>story is about things not changing
The end result to Tamako Market's approach an extremely boring show. If the characters don't care enough to become deeply invested, why should the audience?
Wonder if these guys were supposed to be African or from Choi+Prince land.
I've got this on my backlog somewhere so I'll probably never watch it like everything else there, but I'll still admit brown girl got me interested in the first place
The latter. They're Thai or something.
It was about time for a negative opinion to balance us I guess.
As a fan I disagree, I think it attributed to the relaxing atmosphere that I felt when watching it and didn’t find it boring at all except for episode 1.
Did you find Hyouka boring? It’s pretty much what you described as any good SoL, so I’m just wondering.
So character development into lesbian right?
Kanna has the sharpest eye
She was more lesbian at the beginning than end.
I'm gonna be sad when this thread 404's
Hyouka is my second favorite KyoAni show, and the last really great show that they've put out.
If it were handled like Tamako Market, Oreki would have been outgoing from the beginning and the show would basically be the mysteries without any of the accompanying character development, and all of the mysteries would fall into their laps before being solved by some coincidence or off-handed thought or something rather than the intense labors of the cast. It really would be worthy of sitting at the top of a list of the most boring shows that someone has watched.
remuxing is such a bitch it makes me wonder if it's even worth it.
Who is going to win the Tamako in the film?
Hyouka’s my favourite KA. Honestly I think it might even be my favourite in general. I really love Oreki’s subtle development and how Chitanda drags him out of his shell, but I also enjoyed tamaket but for different reasons.
Shiori because maximum cute.
(And I agree that it was the last really great KA show, it’s sad we’ll never get more of it due to the shift in what IP they animate. I don’t care about FMP or Haruhi S3 nearly as much)
I like it.
>Hottest trap in all anime.
but he's in working!! and his name is kotori
Because her theme is used in the PV.
I'm not going to behave like a massive autist and condemn everyone who likes TM, but I'll never understand its appeal. In my eyes, the only thing that it does right is avoid the pitfalls of horrible drama that so many anime fall into, but that's mostly because the drama is handled in a really limp-handed fashion and the characters barely seem to care.
Yeah, I'd kill for them to reconnect with Kadokawa and continue animating Hyouka through to the end.
You're right, episode 3 and I'm hooked.
>there will never be a tomato market sequel starring kannah and shiori with Mistah
Perhaps by the time the 7th novel is out they’ll be back to animating Kadokawa.
Shiori’s going to be rather background again after her episode, but for me episode 3 sealed the deal.
I'm okay with her being a background character. to be honest I like her. But it would be for the best for her to only get an episode or two. She's stealing the spotlight.
Many heart attacks were had, that day.
>My glasses are the glitch
Dera x Shiori where them doujinshis at?
Can't argue with trips
>What should I expect from this anime?
lesbian, autist girl , trap, brown loli and fabulous bird.meansea sinners
That was a bit uncalled for.
An okay anime.
I remember the day I saw this episode and thought that she would be my girl of the year.
I wasn't sure what to make of TM while it was airing but looking back on it now it's probably one of the best shows I've ever seen. So many good feelings every episode.
That’s an overstatement imo. It wasn’t special, just cute and relaxing—that’s all something has to be sometimes, but luckily it’s not what everything should be.
Just saw this scene, I am done defending her.
I got annoyed with the bird. I wanted to kick it over the horizon.
Maybe I'm too much of a moefag, unable to enjoy things that distract me from it.
Tamako’s love for mochi is so great that she strives to be denser than the densest mochi.
The fact that it did what it wanted to so well made it special. Not everything needs to try to be the next greatest most revolutionary anime or whatever.
It's very well drawn though.
You probably don't want to go to Thailand.
Will she keep her density in the movie?
I can imagine her character just a huge mochi now.
What the hell happened with those manbrows?
That's why Mochizou is her OTP.
Oh lord. I am starting to think she's denser than Chitanda.
Wow, Chitanda isn’t nearly as dense
You’re almost insulting Eru
Left Tamako looks like she's seen some shit.
This was one of best moments of the entire year.
Movie has a genre switch and turns into horror
She watched KyoAni's subsequent shows
Yeah I don't think "dense" fits Chitanda at all.
Her density is probably going to be the source of drama in the movie.
She's been completely oblivious to the romantic bullshit going on around her and it reaches a point where it blows up in her face.
Don't blame me, that's when I was waiting for Mazui batch to finish before I could mux the raw
Comfy, a fantastic OST and cute as fuck characters.
And the masterpiece that is episode 9.
I love Tamako Market but it can get boring sometimes. There aren't any real story or development at all. Still can't wait for the movie though.
and Kanna is awesome. I hope to see more of her in the movie.
Hyouka is the last great thing they made
Glorious kyoani quality depiction of Tamako`s faceial emotions and phisical feelings during virginity loss in a movie
She's faking it to avoid changes in her daily life, fucking calling it now.
Screencap this and wait until the movie.
>She's faking it to avoid changes in her daily life, fucking calling it now.
I hate it when people do this shit.
I’m supposed to shop for things but I don’t want to leave and come back to the thread being gone.
Gonna laugh when you're wrong.
I said only 4 episodes...but I want more.
You better be on /a/ the day the movie comes out, and I will make the thread until you admit you were wrong.
>implying we'll get spoilers that fast
Probably some bits from random Japanese bloggers and then we wait the long wait for the BD to be out.
I'm none of the people who've replied on this thread yet but when the movie comes out, I'm posting fake spoilers and I'll pick whatever seems like it'll ruin the thread fastest.
I don’t think they’ll do that. Although I *can* see it. Tamako getting tears in her eyes saying she doesn’t want to hurt either friend etc.
One of KyoAni's IP shows aka worst shows.
No Japanese original/source = nobody is going to believe you.
I wonder if Kanna is secretly into femdom.
You have great faith in /a/.
Exactly my feelings.
Just realized that the ending theme reminds me of the one from Toradora, what's that one called again? Vanilla salt I think.
Yeah, the melodies sound similar.
Kanna is into dressing up as geometric shapes
I kinda wanna see Tamako mindbreak since it hurt me to see her panic when the market was empty like when her mom died.
The promotional pic posted earlier pretty much looks like that actually.
Glad I'm not the only one that thinks so.
Just a laid back, lazy sort of show.
I think it was a nice transition from the emotional/dramatic overtones that Chuunibyou S1 had.
Staring deep into my soul
Tamako what are you doing with your right hand because your face looks like your're doing something.
Get your head out of the gutter anon
it’s true though
I'm not >>100163793, but I'd gladly get my hands on the Mazui subs, I was thinking about watching Tamako for a while, and it never occured to me that I could just use raws and extract other subs and go with that.I almost went with Commie.
Yes, being new is suffering.
Could you upload them to MF/mega or something?
Nevermind, I'm not that anon but thought I had the subs yet it seems I don't anymore, sorry.
Action, explosions, death and destruction.
Way to spoil the twist in episode 6
a shitty version of K-ON, I'm glad that shit flopped
Don't let Tumblr know
