What was the first anime you watched with /a/ as it aired? Did you like the anime or the threads more? Be honest.
It was shit.
Holy fuck that was mine too.
I can't separate the threads from the show anymore.
Kurenai. It was great, both the threads and the anime.
>tfw MC cleans the house
I'm not joking
I don't remember.
I remember roneryanon and TK and all the good stuff.
Fucking Ge/a/ss Sundays.
Very good times.
I've been lurking 4chan for at least 5 years now, but I started browsing /a/ a year or so a go.I switched from /co/ to /a/.
My first anime was probably Aquarion EVOL.
Star Driver. Shit was fucking fabulous.
I just wish I stopped being a faggot earlier so I could enjoy CG with /a/. I'm incredibly envious of those that got to know such joys.
I haven't done something like that.
Got me back to anime
Got me into /a/
Man, the "Love story of the year" threads were glorious.
It made me like anime at first, now I've come to fucking hate it a lot.
I haven't watched a full series since finishing welcome to the NHK about 6 months ago.
I just get bored of everything quickly.
Eh, we all got to start somewhere.
Nyaruko and I still love it no matter what you say.
>I just get bored of everything quickly.
If this was IRL, that was just asking for a sex joke.
Why do I still come here?
My anime-watching history with /a/ is a weird one.
Originally my main haunt was /m/ and the first currently-airing show I saw with them was Gundam 00 S2. Occasionally I'd pop over to /a/ to see what they were saying about the series, but I didn't care about the board beyond that.
Then Angel Beats happened. I watched it as it aired with some friends, one of which was an /a/non and would sometimes link me to threads. Occasionally I'd go looking for AB threads myself, but again, I wasn't really interested in the board.
Then for some reason I was struck with the urge to visit /a/ again right as Anohana and [C] started airing, picked those up, and stuck around for the most part since then. So I guess my first proper follow-along was Anohana or [C], both of which I enjoyed immensely. [C] had the better threads.
Sora no Woto. That was pretty fun
I coincidentally came to /a/ for the first time the day PSG episode 1 aired, somehow decided to watch it, loved it, and stuck around all season to become what I am now.
> [C] had the better threads.
By which I mean [C] threads were better than Anohana threads, not that [C]'s threads were better than the show. [C] itself is better than its threads by virtue of just being a great show front to back, though the threads weren't half bad at all.
I'd OPEN DEAL with you any day good sir.
I visited here from another board and downloaded Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu for whatever reason, although I don't think I really "watched it" with /a/ so much as glanced at a few threads. The first show I really remember watching and enjoying together with /a/ was Madoka, and yes, the threads made that show much more enjoyable. Remember the agonizing wait for the finale after the earthquake hit?
I've been on /a/ for about 5 years, but probably the first anime I followed thread for thread was Sora no Woto. The speculah threads were great fun, and it was pretty much the first time I found I enjoyed a show much more by watching it "with" /a/.
I been here awhile. I don't even remember at this point what my first thread was.
I think though, of all the threads I've been in, I liked the Another threads the most. Lots of fun speculation, fun arguments over best girl/worst girl and, of course, pie.
I watched the last 2/3rds of Gurren Lagann with /a/ on a livestream. It was, and still is, the best time I've had on this board.
Not who you're responding to, but [C] had a lot going for it. It just had a rushed ending. If it had time for another two episodes it would've been fantastic.
Bebop and trigun on Adult Swim with my dad. Probably didn't watch anime from, shit, 4 years after those two. Then, in high school, a girl in my circle of friends was always readying the bleach manga and she lent them to me. Ever since then it's just been a downward spiral and now I'm here....
Star Driver Sundays were fucking great.
Only really started watching things as they aired fairly recently, I think it was Kaiji Season 2 and while there were some good threads the show was better
You watched Eva with /a/ as it aired? That's pretty amazing anon
Toradora. I was very excited. I was following a lot of manga series together with /a/ for a year and a half or so beforehand, but that was my first anime. The huge trolling and spam campaign put a bit of a damper on things though.
Well, I am pretty amazing.
Gatchaman Crowds. I was a manga-only fag before then.
Eh, both were disappointments. The threads initially started out with dudes who liked [C], but people kept pouring in and it quickly became one of the most obnoxious fanbases of the season. The show itself started out nicely, but ended in a pretty stupid way.
either Isekai or Jinrui
I tend not to watch anime with /a/, most of their anime threads are usually consist only imagedumps or /v/-level shitposting I prefer the former over the latter tbh. But some anime tend to keep a low enough profile for its threads to be pretty enjoyable.
I think the first manga I read with /a/ was Mirai Nikki, if you asked me why the MN manga was popular remember that it was made during a time in which "yandere" was pretty unique a lot of people hated tsunderes so naturally the polar opposite would be loved.
so many newfags in /a/
Jesus, so many newcomers. Well, I hope you didn't act retarded when you first started posting.
I feel sorry for you. There was so much trollbait concerning Tora Dora, it makes Space Dandy and KLK look tame by comparison.
Seriously when did /a/ get so shitty?
So many newfags
Am I the only oldfag in /a/ now?
Been here since 2010. So many goddamn newfags.
I can't remember due to brain problems. Earliest I can recall is that show about disgusting female otaku being taught how to be less gross by a trap.
Tell me about it. I've been here since 2013.
gtfo of /a/ newfag
no newfags aloud
I'm pretty new. Back then I was reading the TWGOK manga, then I went to /a/ (I barely browsed /b/, /x/ and /d/), they told me there was gonna be an anime, I got really hyped and stuck with the board. Never looked back.
Well, I still go to /d/
Code Geass R2. It was fun. A lot of fun.
It really doesn't feel like a long time ago.
