Find me a more HNNNG-worthy scene from any romance anime.
End of Clannad season 1.
It gets my respect just for them actually kissing and not doing the typical Japanese deferential last episode hug after building palpable sexual tension for however long.
That happens WAY too often.
>tfw no Taiga
I remember seeing this years ago and thinking it was lewd as fuck. I had to cover my eyes while I was blushing.
greatest love story of our time.
Sure, there is a huge list of films...
Well... Wow, when I think about this anime really sucks at romance.
Happy Father's Day.
If only I could erase my memory of it and watch it all over again.
If I ever get married, I'm almost certain she'll be a 3D tsundere.
what anime is this
Boku no Pico
Manga is where to look for romance done well.
He knows whats up.
You are close.
That wasn't really hnng, that was more happy.
Unless you're talking about Tomoyo's route, in which case it was fucking heartbreaking and happy at the same time.
but anon, that's monsoon not hnnng
Hnng isn't happy?
You should go watch Sakura Trick.
I already have, it doesn't even have 10% of the impact.
Remember that Toradora had 24 episodes of buildup and shenanigans prior to this.
Hhhngg is not even my heart is happy, it's when my dick is happy
Not exactly. It's hard to explain, but at the end of Clannad it's not really "my god that's fucking adorable, my heart", it's more like "I feel good that it turned this way, time for happy tears".
Only remember the shenaningans
>your waifu will never be happy but some Toradora slut will be.
I didn't enjoy Toradora. So those 24 episodes were a chore to me. But I agree of course that Sakura Trick isn't a good example.
My favorite romantic scene would be probably something from Mononoke Hime. Mainly thanks to exquisite Joe Hisaishi's music.
Irisviel's reaction just after that scene is one of the best human display of reactions I've ever seen in anime.
He ended up with a robot and all other girls who seemed to like him were actually into other people in the end the thing he was trying to avoid the whole season happened.
Seconded. Another great one was this one face from Psycho-Pass.
Sasuga Urobuchi, being able to capture the epitome of SUFFERING.
Actually, Tomoya WAS the robot.
I mixed up chobbits and clannad for some strange reason I realized this after my post.
And ST is going to have 13 episodes with a minimum of two scenes per ep on the level of op's pic..
I get what you mean about the buildup of course. I've just never really liked that sort of story since it's such an unrealistic depiction of relationships.
I mean think about it, the vast majority of romance is all buildup, with a moment of catharsis at the end (a kiss, sex or marriage) then maybe a few epilogue scenes and... nothing.
Yet in the real worl, all that is just the easy bit. The real work is in cultivating and developing a relationship after it begins.
Sorry, but 24 eps of buildup doesn't impress me. Show me a relationship where the couple learns to communicate, and bind themselves to each other through mutual affection, consideration and empathy.

That's the fucking boring part. Nobody wants to see that in romance anime because there's no room for DRAMA except for in minor arguments between the couple. If the characters aren't immediately tied to each other at the start, there's room for other love interests, comedy, typical anime misunderstandings (ie 'kyaa baka hentai'), shipping within the fanbase, etc etc.
Think about it. Would audiences rather go see a movie about a couple's married life, or how they came to be married? Of course most people would say the latter. In fact, the only instance I can think of where people preferred the former was Clannad After Story, and that was because of the various bitch-tears moments.
tl;dr most people want to see buildup and then happy ever after, and that's it besides maybe an epilogue.
Romantic comedies end with marriage, sometimes symbolic.
Romantic dramas end with the death of one of the protagonists.
Toradora After-Story when?
Taiga dies in childbirth
Not in superior 2D realm.
Small frame, I guess.
I doubt it midgets can give birth to normal children.
>other love interests, comedy, typical anime misunderstandings (ie 'kyaa baka hentai'), shipping within the fanbase,
All of those can be done within an established relationship. Making them entertaining and compelling, and navigating all the pitfalls can be more challenging, but using that as a reason not to do it is just a lazy excuse for hacks.
And the result of glorifying stories about new relationships over established ones is that people grow up thinking that new love is this amazing thing that leads to a happily ever after, and have no bloody idea what to do with a relationship after the initial set-up phase.

Yes, and? Where do you think we are? I don't know if you've noticed, but this kind of anime is all about escapism. People want to watch it because it's an idealized version of life. Therefore, first love often ends up as happily ever after. Anime doesn't have to be as depressing and shitty as real life.
Leave your shit taste at the door.
His taste is better than yours if you hate that.
Depends on how you do the build up, because if the pairing its obvious from the start, with back and forth teasing, it can be very enjoyable.
Oreimo is garbage.
I really don't think that other guy said anything about depressing things.
No good thing can be achieved without effort, but that doesn't mean that coincidences can't be a truly wonderfull thing.
Seems like your taste is garbage.
The end of Rec
I'm not sure how the taste of sibling cock can be better then anything, but since you're speaking from experience we'll take your work for it.
great, now i have to sit through another season of urobochi
well it's something
>what is the marriage of sawatari makoto
also this http://youtu.be/LpuDo0Caa6g?t=10m57s
>but that doesn't mean that coincidences can't be a truly wonderfull thing
im not sure if you're me, my african compatriot or a scholar and a gentleman now.
>of all the reasons.......
>to fuck that bitch up.........
Best girl. The others never stood a chance.
I still don't get purpose of that scene
Nah oreimo is just a garbage show.
grail can't fullfill his wish of world peace. so the grail bribes him with a happy life with his family. as retarded as he is he sacrifices his wife and daughter for his ideals.
how can you not get that?
ok i dont wanna watch S2 again now.
Does it have to be recent? Because I can think of more than a few from the 90s and early 00s.
