/a/ how do I get into Gundam?

I really want to get into the lore so I can appreciate the video games more, but it's just not very easy.

Any tips on a good place to start or maybe summaries I could read?

that depends, are you willing to put up with QUALITY and bad animation?
if so, production order
if not, 00 is a good start
if you have any more questions, ask /m/

08MS or IGLOO. These 2 are probably the most newbie friendly ones because:
1. They are mostly standalone series.
2. They are short.
3. Good battle scenes, which might fit the bill since you are doing it to appreciate the video games better.

Briefly watch these 2 and get a feel for the franchise. If you still can't get into it, just wikipedia the characters and events.

I recently decided to get into Gundam and decided to go in production order. I thought the original series would be a chore because of the anime, but ended up being able to get pretty into it.

Also, there's a pretty jump in the quality of anime between 0079 and Zeta. You wouldn't think they're only 5 years apart.
