Girls Und Panzer thread? Girls Und Panzer thread.
Any news about the upcoming movie?
Girls und Luftwaffe when?
Season 2 when?
That's Strike Witches anon.
Kay a best
I just realized I now know more about WW2 tanks than what happens in the world these days.
I don't know if I should love or hate you guys.
Yukari a best
That's a weird way of spelling Erwin.
I'm biased, but still best grils right here.
No news on ova?
After Girls n U-Boats.
>all these wrong opinions
This is best panzah
Confirmed for good taste, but don't forget her left and right hands.
Yuzu is the devil incarnate.
loli > Type 10
Why do you say so? She is such a nice girl.
She likes to traumatize Momo.
Damn it anon. I already fapped too much today.
I want to switch yukari's shampoo with hair relaxer
>She likes to traumatize Momo.
What? No, she doesn't.
Just posting best girl.
Well, see this. See, Yuzu is nice.
Right after Guys and BRRRRRRRRRT
That is the way Yuzu shows her love to Momo-chan.
Type 10's > Jelly monstah
Oops. Wrong image.
All girls are best girls except momo
What is up with me today? I misclicked again...
WHEN IS /ak/ GOING TO TRANSLATE THE SPECIALS? JESUS
by that you surely mean she's the bestest girl
Best girl at the imperial stromtrooper marksmanship school
Hell I think shecis the dean
This thread needs more fluffy!
Maybe they should try a new strategy.
Give Momo a panzerschreck. Tell her to aim at Miho's tank.
Chances are good that a few minutes later EVERYTHING ELSE is down, enemy tanks included.
So much best
This thread needs more Syria
>all 1080p subs are commie
I'm conflicted when it comes to Yukari.
She'd be the best daughteru but sometimes I want to fap to her...
Step aside for best commander
>all those hd tank videos from Syria
Thank you, based Abkhazian news agency and GoPro cameras
The BDs weren't at 1080p?
The series wasn't mastered at 1080p or 900p, which makes 1080p BDs a useless placebo.
So you recommend downscaling the BDs then upscaling again so I can watch fullscreen?
wonder what depiction of Australian tanks they do?
Probably like medium one tank total, driver has been drinking and everyone is arguing about something completely inappropriate and unrelated.
Reinforced by a chariot that's pulled by thousands of large poisonous spiders.
You'll be watching an upscale anyway, it's up to you.
>tfw a friend bought me the dvds as a gag gift for Christmas
The gag being they're DVDs?
HOW BIG IS YOUR GUP PICTURES FOLDER?
Well according to Wikipedia the Aussies mainly used the Lee & the Matilda in WW2, plus they developed the Sentinel which had 17 pdr & (single) 25 pdr variants.
I suppose they could even use the Centurion seeing as that was in development during WW2 and was used later on by the Aussies.
I only have like 10 GuP images.
I only have like 100 or so Mako pictures.
post some Darjeeling. Please?
Tank-cam is quite interesting.

Kay a pretty good.
But I prefer a Naomi.
A man of fine taste.
I wish Naomi had more art...
She has her own spin-off American comic-strip
Who is the lewdest panzer?
Maybe not best panzer, but a pretty good one.
I have discovered Yukari's daughter.
Also apparent member of the History Club.
The Leo 1 is pretty lewd
She's a pretty fast girl, if you catch my drift
Her turret's got curves in all the right places. And her bustle...
The Chally 2
Just look at that ass and those curves!
I prefer her sister CRARRV, though she doesn't really count...
Let's talk about the manga.
Guys, I wasn't into Miho before but recently... I don't know man, but recently she's really been hitting me hard...
Manga Darjeeling looks really mature
Maho left tanks behind for a career as a ship.
>Panther II's and Super Pershings
we WoT nao
And ditched her amazing front armor in the process.
She's someone you appreciate as your taste in panzers become more refined
Remodeling is a bitch. Not that Ma-I mean Taihou, minds
Would you an Anchovy?
>Mako, 5 years later
I dunno man, that Erwin's pretty cute.
Sexiest modern tanks.
>Not Momo's elder sister
>You will never eat Ramen with Darjeeling and Pekoe
This is the top argument for legalizing medically assisted suicide.
Does anybody know what these pentagonal wood panel things are? There's a lot of Darjeeling pictures painted on them.
Can someone explain to me what's good about GuP? I found it pretty average apart from some awesome moments (Based Katyusha and tank mechanic/history/tactics in whole).
I have the feeling I missed something.
The whole friendship sol part is slightly below average in terms of quality because the characters problems/personality feel forced and shallow.
Jesus what have you people done to me?
Not a good show, imo.
The shoe-horning of cute girls and semi-realistic depiction of historical armor is done rather sloppily. Could cute girls in tanks work? Absolutely, but this isn't it. The show falls into too many sports anime tropes that pull at the facade of realism, and the grittiness of how the tanks are (originally) depicted clashes with the general good vibe and friendly attitudes the characters attempt to portray.
>so much Darjeeling
How come it sells so well then? Cute girls?
It took what Strike Witches did and split it apart. Some people appreciate a "non-mecha musume and non-mecha military hardware anime" once in a while.
Granted, when Japan gets to making an anime that had no mecha musumes and no mechas, they tend to be good for most part (as gay as Yukikaze is the dogfights are awesome).
>and the grittiness of how the tanks are (originally) depicted clashes with the general good vibe and friendly attitudes the characters attempt to portray.
But it's the dichotomy that's exactly why it works. They somehow make good natured fights out of tank battles without making it seem strange after the first couple of episodes.
Cute girls, good, easy to follow combat choreography that doesn't rely on blink-and-you-miss-it cuts and shaky cam, little to none sexual fanservice, and generally just a fun show all around that pulls all sorts of pleasant surprises.
It's a sport anime at heart, don't think it's like strike witches. The 'events' are well paced, entertaining and unpredictable (for a sport anime). Plus cute girls.
Anyone got proper scans of this?
It scratches the military tech itch and has a butt-tonne of decent characters.
Also, I think it works well precisely because it is mostly a sports anime rather than in spite of it. Despite the explosions it's all fun and games, rather than PTSD schoolgirls. SnW showed that that could be done well, but that's mostly SoL. I don't reckon it could be done very well with combat all the time.
This thread has too much elegance, I can't handle it.
>no mushy peas
>Not calling me a faggot and providing an actual intelligent answer
Am I dreaming? Anyway, I guess the whole sports anime genre is not for me. I find regular sol more entertaining than those. (Even Upotte was more fun, probably because I didn't take it seriously at all)
Enjoy your GuP polite anons.
fluff is love
Anyone else got her on pre-order?
No. Personally waiting for the 1/35 figs because I built up a massive backlog of model tanks.
I got pic related day 1 pre-ordered
>8 month wait
Are the GuP kits any good?
Unless it's Maschinen Krieger the only scale modelling I do is braille scale stuff, the rest of my painting is for wargames. But I may be convinced to get some 1/35 stuff if it's GuP.
Both her and Yukari (and the rest on release), mainly because I doubt they'll do 1/8 scales for all of the crew.
I would but I don't beach queens.
EIGHT MONTH WAIT
Shit, mean her + miho
Holy hell, hope you don't intend on buying a lot of chinese plastic, 8 months ain't shit.
>Forgetting the elegance
Elegance waits for no one.
>Any news about the upcoming movie?
a generic compilation movie like Nanoha and Madoka movies
I'm done for now.
I'll dump more if the thread's still alive when I get back.
Never bought them (more of a modern tank guy), but the 1/35 tanks are reboxed Dragon (aka DML and Cyber-Hobby) kits. Only the Type 89 and Type 3 are Fine Molds.
The Dragon-based kits tends to be very complicated due to their absurd parts count.
Something something new team even scarier than their final match.
>it's dangerous to fap alone
>That is the way Yuzu shows her love to Momo-chan.
There was suppose to be some official sketch done of a young Yuzu protecting a young Momo, who was crying. So it is likely they go way back, and that Yuzu and Momo just are inseparable.
>Something something new team even scarier than their final match.
The only team that can be scarier than anyone else is one that adopted IDF tactics, who would probably show up with only two crappy tanks that could defeat the entire of Oarai if they wanted to.
It wasn't official.
Superior lady of brit armo(u)r has arrived.
Can anything top the Maus as a final boss without being a completely bullshit and obscure paper tank?
Well, technically, the Jap Type 100 is in the same boat as the Maus, there was a hull built with plans to finish it, but the war ended.
Type 100 is basically an even more retarded version of the Maus
I'm kind of a believer that the tactics makes or breaks a win, not the tanks. If Black Forest did not bring in the retarded heavies they would have stood a better chance.
Make it a pitch black night battle.
IS-3 is a pretty scary beast
It just doesn't have the stupid over-the-top ridiculousness of the Maus though.
>not Leopard II
Well, there's always the Ratte
Still, from what I've heard you can't go far wrong with Dragon. Might get the Stu.G or Jadgtiger...
Are these getting translated?
To be fair the Maus is a pretty bullshit prototype-only tank...
>Still, from what I've heard you can't go far wrong with Dragon.
They're actually good, just that the way the kits is designed means that some people will give up in sheer frustration if the carpet monster ate something.
This shop I went to said that he won't bring in Dragon kits because people complained that they're too punishing to build, and they're still quite below Tamigawa level when it comes to overall presentation.
It's funny how GuP is restricted by history in terms of final bosses. If this were a mecha anime, the writers could just conjure up something even more powerful at the end of the antagonists' mecha development tree.
GuP could just throw away it's "VJ-day or before" rule though.
I also wish they'd throw out the "No-Open-Top" rule and let muh Hellcat in
The thing is that you can take the train to Moscow and touch the thing. Any other tank thank could be as intimidating as the Maus either exists only on paper or is even more obscure (and still only exists on paper).
Problem is that the Japanese tends to go all out in terms of autistic details if it's WWII. Another strike against post-war machinery is that the creators probably wanted something akin to a "pure tanking experience devoid of automated FCS, automatic self-leveling stabilization, modern GPS systems and shit like that."
I personally preferred if they went with Cold War machinery because muh Chieftains and early Challengers because as modern as some of them are, it also highlights the fact that the post-war technology is not as advanced as what some people think (see: early missiles). Then again, it's just my opinion and it's a rather unpopular one.
I want muh IS-7
>mfw this is actually a Greek tank.
>mfw my friend saw one in his base still in service.
Anything is better than that fucking French faggotshit prototype tank called the Char Batignolles-Châtillon 25t.
And the Dutch retired all of their Leopard 2A6es because "they see no purpose".
It's not official, the artist just likes this sketchy style, but I like the idea of those two being childhood friends.
Well, there's still the T95, Tortoise and the IS-4. Of course these aren't really famous, but the Maus is only popular because of that whole "Wunderwaffe that MIGHT'VE turned the tide of the war" jazz. Its design should be hardly more than a funny footnote in the history of tank development.
The South Africans are still using a Centurion variant. What's your point?
Tech gets updated all the time and complete ground-up new designs are more and more expensive so military's just keep on updating rather than getting new designs.
Which, as it turns out, is not as large as I thought it was
Personally I think the Israeli M60 upgrades takes the cake.
The Super-Stuart is also an interesting kike-upgrade
Which turret is that? It looks vaguely French to me for some reason, just several decades forward from when there'd be an abundance of spare Stuarts.
How about this poor panzer still being dragged well past its service date?
Israeli AFVs are definitely interesting.
so uh, where do people get these? it's not on ak scans wiki
Damn, that's a T-55?
It really looks like the T-95 they were planning on making before they ran out of money
>little to none sexual fanservice,
tbh I think this is the biggest reason. It doesn't alienate many potential viewers.
That thing is a fucking death fortress.
Doesn't look like one to me, T-55s have 5 roadwheels per side, although the Romanians developed a stretched version with 6 roadwheels per side.
Like a T-72 with ERA.
Cutest super-heavy assault gun
Accept no imitations.
>Are these getting translated?
Sailor Fuku to Juusensha? Nope, swiss lost interest on it.
>a stretched version with 6 roadwheels per side
That would be exactly what it is. They slapped a new engine, T-72B turret and the FCS from the T-80U on that old workhorse.
im surprised how big or small some tanks are
If I remembered correctly the end result was rather shitty.
>end result was rather shitty.
That doesn't surprise me
Well there is only so much you can do with such an old design before it's no longer cost effective.
I guess it works if you're really strapped for cash?
>Chief Russian Tank Designer
If that were true. Instead of wood, Patrick would have bricks of ERA everywhere.
Brb, shopping that
Gonna post some more pictures of old designs subjected to modernization programs.
See if you guys can tell what this monstrosity is without cheating.
That's the monkey-model of the M1, right?
It's basically a M60 with a M1 turret and a M1A1 FCS
Was about to post that.
That is a 120S made by General Dynamics, silly.
>a M60 with a M1 turret
nauseous irl now
have a palate cleanser
>monkey-model of the M1
It's the M60-2000. Basically an M60 upgrade package that includes turret, engine and transmission.
When will we get a MILF und Panzer spinoff?
Considering how kickass Miho was with an underdog team how did she not earn a reputation for herself when she had all the power and backing of Black Forest behind her?
She was nothing more than a Pz.II commander back then
She was a scout, nothing more.
And then, the ONE time they give her the flag-tank to take care of, what does she do with it? Abandons it IN FRONT OF THE ENEMY and let's them have it without a fight.
She fucked up big time in the eyes of her family. As far as everyone else is concerned, she basically threw the match away.
Her power comes from friendship.
There was no such name, have some reading material.
http://ftr.wot-news.com/2013/11/19/superheavy-japanese-tanks/ inb4 WoT complaints
also something about confidence
Her mother has training exercises to help build confidence...
>Considering how kickass Miho was with an underdog team how did she not earn a reputation for herself when she had all the power and backing of Black Forest behind her?
She never enjoyed commandeering a tank. It was a duty, a responsibility, but never fun, Weight of expectations and Spartan lifstyle makes her despise tanks purely because of her falling out with her mother. She was never able to be truly her own woman until leaving Black Forest.
When she approached the sport as a GAME, she was able to have fun, for the first time.
pls respond. i've been googling for the raws and can't find any non-dead download links past vol3
Who Hana here?
yeah that is why she got out of bed all weird in the first ep
You learn to do that in basic training, man.
Drill Instructors are just waiting to see which recruit is the last out of bed so they can fuck with him. And you DON'T want to be fucked by a DI, trust me.
Also, dat combat roll
I would a Hana.
I was referring to her almost riping her shirt open
nice file name
Lewd raging dyke Hana always makes me hard
>the girls inside the tank are seeing everything
Not a big problem since they see everything all the time when they bathe together.
Why is it socially acceptable for high school aged girls in Japan to be completely stark naked in front of each other?
Because nips don't reproduce so it doesn't matter.
The same reason it's socially acceptable for high school kids ANYWHERE to be naked in front of each other.
Did you never shower after gym class? Did you just stay sweaty and nasty all day?
PTSDdere Miho is best Miho
fluff mom looks like such a best girl
That because she is Anon.
Shiho is a worthy opponent to try and mindbreak though
Instructor seems like a girl you could drink with
>Weight of expectations
Didn't the Japanese put that on the elder sons?
Shiho has more than enough expectations to share between her eldest daughter and her youngest daughter
I want a ova with Yukari and her mom / dad
Or one about the parents watching from the strand
Damn dude what a bummer of a filename
cold dead eyes like a doll's eyes
It's true though
>Not fucking the librarian
Do you even manipulate christmas cake?
any one have good Yukari / GnP wallpaper
>Girls und Flugzeug
I thought the A3 variant got rid of that asinine MG dome on the turret.
>monkey-model of the M1
god post-M46 US turrets are ugly
Guess it's that time of night
A bit off topic any of you play that war of the human tanks game on steam
>no further translations
>not even any scans beyond volume 3
I hate all of you.
It got dumb pretty fast, with things like deflecting an AT missile with an inflatable raft. And the last translated chapter looked like it was about the become haremshit.
So really, no great loss.
Saunders pulls out all the stops, fields a T95. Also T34s, and Hellcats with the Jackson's turret+roofkit.
let's not forget about killing off uncle Monty and his comrades over fucking Valentines chocolate ~3 chapters later
>T34s, and Hellcats with the Jackson's turret+roofkit.
not Senshado legal
>knowing what happens
>not even bothering to at least share scans
Roofkitted Hellcats are.
>cast full of females
>suddenly introduce a guy as part of the crew
>girls all start squealing and fawning over him
>>girls all start squealing and fawning over him
Dude was more like Kanon's pet. The other girls were mostly indifferent to him.
The T29/T30/T34 was designed to counter German heavies and the prototypes were complete before the end of the war, they're absolutely Senshado-legal.
Hellcat is a grey area. The production model is open-top and thus illegal, but during the war a prototype mounting the Jackson's turret and 90mm was completed, and the Jackson's turret had a roofkit, which would make it Senshado-legal.
Needs more machine guns.
I have the raws up to volume 8. Where should I put them?
/ak/ wikia, I guess? I'm not sure how it works, though.
You call that a body
mf -> wiki
Even having the links here on /a/ would be nice because archive.
Not really. They see the potential in the large numbers of Patton tanks in foreign service and attempted to offer it as an upgrade to those that can't outright afford M1s.
Unfortunately the Israelis sort of beat them at the "M60 with a 120mm gun" game with the Sabra.
You misunderstand, I'm saying the M1 is itself a monkey model, and a ludicrously overpriced one at that.
I disagree with the truthness of this opinion
/ak/ subs, for starters...
>Unfortunately the Israelis sort of beat them at the "M60 with a 120mm gun" game with the Sabra.
What's unfortunate about that? I'd say that was by far a preferable alternative to anything GDLS could cobble together from whatever crap they could find within arm's reach.
I rather take that over a fucking PT-91M.
True. Isn't there's also an American-developed upgrade to the T-55?
Still alive this thread is?
Well, have some GUTS.
At least Poland can into Leopards by now... I just hate your paintjob.
>general good vibe and friendly attitudes
Shouldn't you be watching shows like Eva, then?
No, not shitposting you. Really. If you don't like "good vibe and friendly attitudes", then don't be surprised GuP isn't the show for you, because it's DELIBERATELY a "good vibe" show. If you like shows without a hard-earned happy ending through Power of Teamwork (Tm), small wonder GuP didn't appeal to you.
It should have them, since it's a sports anime
I guess, Anon, I found where's the problem for you (kindly notice how I did NOT say "your problem"). You mistook GuP, a light-hearted sports anime (something that does quite well), for a war anime, something that it is not (even if the battle scenes are better than some actual war animes').
Imagine what they could do in a decent tank not some Nip shit.
I think people also forget that the anime is meant to promote the region, kind of like what Yamakan is doing with WUG now.
They could might score a fucking kill. Ooarai should get a better lineup for S2, really.
>Poland ditching PT-91s
>we in South-East Asia will probably suck up those used PT-91s
Shit sucks when our neighbours are rolling on proper T-80s and Leopard 2s.
The show would've gotten really boring, since they would just steamroll all the other schools on their own.
>semi-realistic depiction of historical armor done rather sloppily
I fear, Anon, that it's likely it's your historical knowledge of how historical armor operated historically that is not up to spec, because there's a grand total of TWO (counted) things that the garupanzers do that their historical counterparts couldn't, and all three are for excusable storytelling purposes:
- Matildas' and Type 89's speed
- Tiger I's turret rotation speed
There was an article or something that mentioned precisely why the odd choice of tanks (besides being all those that the school had after everything was sold off), they need to put a huge emphasis on the underdog aspect.
Nope, stated to be direct continuation of the series
How the hell did you even end up buying these sorry excuse of armor, rather than something half-decent?The market is riddled with MBT's counted as good and not that pricey, so why buy obsolete as shit T-72's with ERA slapped on them to make it look modern?
I once mentioned that a VERY scary final boss would be a single-turreted 7TP using with inteligent ambush tactics to shot 37mm Boffors AP at tanks' paper-thin underbellies, a callback of how the girls were warned this could happen when crossing a ridge way back in episode 3
But when S2 takes part a year after S1, there will be a total new lineup since some of the girls graduated.
Because one major requirement removed the Challenger 2 and Leopard 2 from being in contention.
And yes, the T-84 and T-90 was actually evaluated along with the PT-91, unfortunately they choose to fail themselves in the hot weather. Additionally, the PT-91 that we got is essentially a T-72 with predominantly Western systems, like electronics and drivetrain, even the fucking tracks came from a Leopard 2.
See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6KvCj7_bMk and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7Ry7NJkyJ4
Rejoic, Anon, because there WAS an experimental closed top for the Hellcat of which some prototypes were built - which makes it legal
I would post the pic, but it's on a different computer. I posted it on another GuP thread, someone might have it saved...
I dunno, gun penetration seems to be all kinds of screwy
I'm not saying they necessarily should get a better tank, just they could do so much better.
Even just giving them a Chi-Ha rather than the type 89 or something.
Let's just stay at semi-realistic depiction, the armor penetration values are kinda iffy.
Not to mention the over-the top scenes for the sake of action and laffs.
I would have chose the T90, even if it failed, even if the tank itself is just a stopgap tank between the T-72 and the Armata (and since Russia ain't that rich anymore, it was a stopgap for a looong time), it's far more capable than a polish modernized T-72.
Give them an M41; it has the right number of crew stations to accommodate the entire team and it can actually go as fast as they were somehow able to make their Type-89 move in the show.
Guys, guys... all the "girls won't be in teh team" is fan-wank, because of two CANON, ON-SCREEN things:
- Oarai is an ACADEMY (that means it offers more than one level of education, likely from junior high to college)
- Senshado is practisioned in colleges and universities, too (outright stated in episode fucking 1)
TL;DR: S2 has no reason not to have Turtle Team
Actually pretty well done. The only case of "that hit should have been a kill" is a deliberate, stated so by the director, case of "bullet penetrating the helmet without hitting the head" for a tank (Panzer IV in the bridge). Every single other hit gets the expected result. Light gunds don't penetrate, heavy guns get kills, unless there's a lucky (for the defender) glancing hit or a deliberate aiming at a trap shot or weak point, angled armor deflects some rounds that should have penetrated it....
Here's the other strike against the T-90: politicians liked Russian equipment (no strings attached to it unlike US equipment and the governance that time put a policy of buy British last), but the military hated them, period. This was seen as a compromise measure at best (Russian chassis but with European systems).
Granted, we aren't like Singapore that had operated real tanks for decades.
But the amusing part is that (but for the Mega-dorifto-while-Tiger-spins-turret-at-lightning-speed part) every single one of the oer-the-top scenes can, in fact, be done
WIth the caveat that I've been unable to find confirmation if the Tiger (P) can be revved up to make a wheelie - I've heard guys argue that its electric/diesel engines might do the trick, but without any solid proof
I don't think you could jam a Hetzer under a Maus in a way so it wouldn't be crushed. It's 200 freaking tonns!
I knew that one would come out
It can't wheelie.
How straight is Saori?
I never saw Saori as a likely yuri. Why do you ask?
"If you would go up to her and told her you want to be her bf, she'd fuck your bains out" - straight
At the very least tho, the Hetzer's suspension should have failed and broke.
Canon straight but also canon desperate enough not to reject another girl
The chassis of the 38(t) was used for recovery vehicles. Bergerhetzer. It was intended for recovering light and medium tanks, but they found it could manage heavy ones for a little while before the suspension gave out. EXACTLY what happens on GuP (norice how the tank breaks down afterwards!)
You dind't reject Miho when she accidentally the whole team, you only said it was nice but sounded weird
Inb4 ">>>/u/", I'm saying that happens on screen and it's true, but it's also true that she's canon straight
I'm not objecting to /u/, but my goggles aren't strong enough to make Saori a lesbian...
Read the post again. She isn't.
Here you go
Yeah but that is towing heavy tanks, not having one on top of it and also the heaviest tank the Germans had used was about 60 tons, the Maus is 200 tons.
That's why it broke after 30 seconds, not after 90 minutes.
Since there's been NO instance of a 38(t) trying to ramp a Maus, the results are speculation. Would have it been able to last a few seconds? Would have it broke down instantly? Would have it survived? The thing is, gentle and polite Anon, that Actas at least used a tank that MIGHT have done the trick - which is the point. They choose a plausible result - it lasting just a few seconds- for dramatic purposes, but it's not bullshit
>having one on top
Many British bridge carriers did that trick. Sometimes, a carrier closed the bottom of a ditch, a second carrier climbed on top holding the bridge, and a THIRD tank crossed the bridge over the two tanks. It seems having a huge weight on top was actualy better for the suspensions than trying to haul a huge weight.
Am I the only person who finds the Tiger unattractive? The Konigs Tiger looks fantastic, but the Tiger 1 just doesn't do anything for me...
Here you go, too
The Churchill has incredibly sturdy suspension it seems. But even with two tanks on top, that's only ~80 tonns of weight. A Maus is still more than twice as much
>I don't think you could jam a Hetzer under a Maus in a way so it wouldn't be crushed. It's 200 freaking tonns!
It WAS crushed. It's only the scifi carbon coating that kept the girls alive long enough to finish the kill.
Also I think because the superstructure was made of armour plates welded together, I think the welds would give way instantly.
>Vol.1 coming March 20
Sure, it was time.
You guys are pretty retarded.
Don't even get the harem thing.
There was a guy part of the cast for something like two chapters.
Well, it's very boxy looking, it's practically a child's drawing of a tank brought to life. A lot of its popularity stems from its reputation, but there's a certain charm to its simple look, the Feifel filters and the exhausts are pretty neat.
Sure, KT's are far more sexy, but Tiger I's have their charm too with the simple, soapbox look.
>The Churchill has incredibly sturdy suspension it seems.
Case in point is, the 38(t) chassis did, too
pic of how it doesn't rise the full weight of the tank, only the front half. Greek simple machines, class 2 lever.
Which also means we wont we able to make an accurate calculation of wether the Hetzer would stand the weight or not until we know the location of the Maus' center of gravity.
Back of envelope math asuming the center of mass is located about 1/3 of the way back (because of engines, etc) yields about 90 Tn on top of the Hetzer - which seems into the realm of "could. maybe".
Good point, but Germans used interlocked unions to prevent that from happening. Welds from failing, not Hetzers to be flattened, I mean.
i'm cheating: these are practically all the chapter raws, cleans, and scans. my gup folder is somwehere i forgot
finally someone who realizes this, the fact that the hetzer did NOT bear the full 200 tonnes of weight, still might be crazy, but the germans produced quality tanks during ww2, just over engineered and not fast enough, the hetzer wouldn't take the full weight of the tank, but when the weight applied is reduced it spreads out rather well
not so finally, it has been pointed quite often. See the screencap somewhere upthread. That, and the one about GuP start being slow (pic related), should be required reading. Just that the wrong point is also pointed about every time.
>GuP meets Strike Witches meets Kancolle meets Upotte meets Sora No Woto
Would you watch it?
I can't imagine those merging cleanly.
>I can't imagine those merging cleanly.
>carrier ships are captained by your respective kancolle
>carrier groups are formed
>complete international championships featuring combined arms operations
>air, land, and sea battle everywhere
it would be confusing on a macro level, but hey, that means more material
Good enough, make it happen.
>carrier groups are formed
Guys... let's into some facts.
1. Poland never ditched PT91s. There's 200+ in service, for 2 nato-size armored brigades, and they will stay untill they fall apart.
2. Poland is a NATO frontline country. This means they need more armor than average, especially now that Netharlands have NO tanks (selling their last Leo2A6s now) and Germany officially is only gonna have 2 brigades with 200+ Leo2.
3. In addition to 200+ PT91s, Poland keeps 700+ T72M1s, and ALSO 120+ Leo2A4. These Leo2s are now officially being upgraded to something like Leo2 Evolution model.
4. To top that, Poland is also buying another batch of 120 Leo2A5s.
5. Malaysia bought PT91s because on a test track designed by Malaysian army, polish crew with their PT91 beat the shit out of the T90 crew, demonstrating superior performance and superior ability to recover from terrain traps in those particular climate conditions. Poles also agreed to add specific requested equipment, like ESM350 transmission (same as in Leo2) or Sagem BMS+vectronics package. NOBODY else considered for the delivery agreed to such cherrypicking, nor was able to deliver the same mix of features AND price. To be honest, Poles themselves no longer can, wages there went up.
Have you forgotten the panic in Australia when they realized Malaysia rocks tanks that can into swamps, and that will pick apart anything that isn't a new western MBT?
>one country has a carrier battle group
>strike witches as the planes (with regular planes if you want your fix)
IS the /ak/ wiki up to date with the latest scans and translation
>IS the /ak/ wiki up to date with the latest scans and translation
assuming that i haven't been living under a rock, it should be since there's only... two people (aside from me) i know who update the wiki
The Maus was probably built lighter with thinner armor in Senshado for safety as well as cost.
You saw how well it turned and accelerated.
I would not doubt that it was a lighter tank with a large rear engine that had limiters placed on it.
Of course, speculation.
>Maginot is on a giant sub
Does anyone have translations for those?
Is that guy who promised us the trapfic still around?
>no strings attached to it unlike US equipment
usually maintenance contracts and the occasional "you cannot buy other shit or else we're done" clauses
for southeast asian deals, it's usually the "you get the crap end of the spectrum" tech and you cannot upgrade it because they lock you in
>vocally oppose the existence of the Jewish state of Israel
This too. No one will get the best stuff until Singapore does.
Who bully here?
>No one will get the best stuff until Singapore does.
>tfw not singapoorian
being SEA is suffering
>doesn't even fit the turret
>Indonesia gets the same bunch of L2A4.
Europeans aren't restricted by US Congress blocking everything.
Where are you situated?
Wait, you mean they wanted tanks from the US?
philippines. at least we were lucky enough to have some v-22s fly around here
No, but everyone desired US-made equipment over this part of the world.
The Indonesians are now considering buying F-15s and F-16s from the States. 15 years ago it would have been impossible.
At least you got vintage service arms aplenty.
Yeah, and that's the reason why Singapore buys so much German stuff in the last years.
maybe Kancolle and SW would match with each other but i can't see the other ones fitting for that.
>everyone desired US-made equipment over this part of the world
Why? The US defense industry is a joke! It's become like that of interwar France!
>The Indonesians are now considering buying F-15s and F-16s from the States.
Too bad the F-20 got screwed over; that thing was freakin' designed for countries with small national economies.
Ironically, they got BAE Systems to upgrade their F-16s too. I would have expected the Israelis to do the job since they're already flying Sufas in all but name.
For what's it's worth, they worked as intended when needed to (at least our record with Legacy Hornets seems that way, our Flankers did not even step up to bomb the shit out of the invaders).
As for the F-20, it's facing a death spell the moment the F-16A is allowed to be exported. Heck, we even considered the F-20 but when the F-16A became a possibility we explored that option (along with the Tornado), but unfortunately the 1980s economy crash happened and we end up with MiG-29s and F/A-18Ds in the 1990s.
because it's "tested" (see vietnam, corea) and most modern militaries (i.e. jpn, sg) use american tech
look at us, we're happy enough with 60mm mortars and vietnam era battle rifles
As far as I know, there's exactly ONE thing translated but not yet up - a chapter from the Anthology that I did typeset but that are waiting for more chapters to be TLed (subtle reminder...)
Well, the USA was for a long time the only nation which sold stuff to SAE.
UK - joke
France - joke and the relationship to the most nations were not the best
SU/Russia - a no go
Germany - limited to other NATO states for the longest time
now I wish I had a Sig-chan version of puking_Madotsuki.jpg
>Are you looking at other girls?
>Ara ara~, that's forbidden you know~
Is it just me or does the combination swimsuit / santa clothes that Momo wears here look ..... strange?
Wait, are you saying British & French military stuff's a joke?
If we're talking about tanks, from the Centurion through to the Challenger 2 British MBTs have been pretty damn good, and plenty of them have been sold abroad.
The AMX-30 as far as I'm aware was a reasonable piece of kit and was sold widely on export.
He's talking about their track record when it comes to this part of the world. Granted, it took the 1980s before anyone that isn't aligned to the Communist states thought of buying real tanks. Most of the tanks you mentioned only went as far as the Middle East (except the Centurion which end up in Singapore, even then they were actually used IDF stocks).
Well.. the Chieftain was crippled by its engine but apart from that..
Don't question Momo's impeccable fashion sense
The Brits gave up on trying to export the Challenger 2 after the Leopard 2 won one too many tenders.
Actually, although it pains me to say this, I think the AMX-30d just stole my heart....
Is she cooking in a leather jacket? The more I think about it the more I think Momo might have brain issues.
What is it that gives the Leo 2 the edge then?
>New Fancy secret armers that nobody knows how to make
Price and the fact that some countries are very particular about transfer of technology (take note of how many of the export Leopard 2s were built by customer nations themselves).
Keep in mind that this will not be possible with the Challenger 2 due to the Chobham armour.
Basically, this. That and no one is allowed to know the exact composition.
The French even made a cruise missile launch platform out of the AMX-30.
I'm also somewhat glad that it was developed instead of the Char Batignolles-Châtillon.
Centurions are kinda lewd.
for lewd pileup
>The T29/T30/T34 was designed to counter German heavies and the prototypes were complete before the end of the war
Only the T29 was completed before the war ended, the T34 was a postwar project.
>What is it that gives the Leo 2 the edge then?
cheaper, mechanical proven, better gun, better engine etc.
Now we know why the M4 can't penetrate!
You also forgot "German technology".
Kind of like why people pick Mercedes or BMW.
>because it's everything the M1 SHOULD be, but ISN'T
>dat dedicated anti-american xenophobic troll
I want to a Yuzu.
Late but i got my key from Groupees.
Played the first 2 chapters only though.
Sorry Yuzu is already private property of DA PREZ.
The original Yuzufag.
fun looks like a ok Fire emblem / advices was
>tfw still no S2 announcement
I'm torn betwen joking about Erika x Kei shipping behind Maho's back, joking about Tiger II x M4 shipping behind Tiger I's back, or asking for actual context of that pic. I think I'll do all three, because, why not?
One day anon, one day...
after the film
Got it for free off some site, forgotten which one. Haven't played it though.
Hold up, we've got a movie and an OVA coming, plus the game, manga etc. Given that amount of content, S2 is only a matter of time
I'd assume it's just a Tiger II which got abandoned for some reason.
I think that's Russian on the side, so in that case it's a lend-lease Sherman.
>Erika x Kei
>not Erika x Alice
A Tiger II from s-SS-PzAbt.503, captured by American troops during the Battle of the Bulge.
>captured Tiger IIs
>image limit reached
New thread gents? Or should we have some cooldown?
We're for once having a surprisingly polite, yet interesting thread, as they used to be. Why not?
I have no idea what to say when starting new threads...
