I must have watched Elfen Lied like 5 times.
I must have watched Naruto + shippuden like 6 times
Ive rewatched One piece and naruto like 3 times.
I must have watched Tokyo Tribes 2 like 7+ times
I've watched SnK 3 times now. It's just such an amazing anime.
That's about it, really. These take me back to when I was just getting into anime and make me feel warm inside.
I watch everything at least twice.
Mirai Nikki 3 times
SnK 2 times
Such good anime
I watched GitS '95 movie atleast 6 times.
Yuru Yuri 3 times
I have watched Sword Art Online four times (researched the Elf arc six)
Spice and wolf
Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water
The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
too much stuff to catch in a single watch.
I just wait like a year or two and watch them again, with the exception of Toradora!, Haruhi, SnW, etc, that are watched every year because reasons.
Dragenball (only the dubbed one, as child)
Ghost in the Shall (everything)
Why? What's the point when you can use that time working on your backlog instead?
Guyver OVA series and the Dark Hero live action adaptation, because I love them so much jesus fuck they're glorious.
Skull Man as well though that's only because I was sitting someone else through it.
where can i get a torrent for that shit
I can't rewatch things. If ever I try either I get bored by the third episode or end up just skipping to the best bits.
Higashi no Eden
Madoka, about 5 times.
Disappearance, 3 times.
Clannad After Story, 3 times.
Toradora, 2 times.
Carnival Phantasm, 2 times (while watching random episodes every now and then).
Fate/Zero, 2 times.
Guilty Crown, 2 times.
All the Kara no Kyoukai movies, 2 times.
And I'm currently on my second watch of Steins;Gate.
Pani Poni Dash
I thought about doing this, but then I played the far superior VN. If you haven't already, get to it. It blows the anime out of the water, even though the anime was extremely good.
Code Geass over a dozen times
Death Note 5 times
Spice and Wolf 4 times
Valvrave 6 times
Madoka 8 times (12 including the movies)
Kaiji 2 times
Nanoha too many times to count
Utena over 100 times
Various things. Pani Poni Dash and Seto no Hanayome are the main culprits, but I'm sure I've re-watched other things as well.
I'm also kind of re-watching Kill la Kill through the number of times I've been going back through previous episodes to see bits of it again or grab screen shots.
Spice and Wolf
Also anytime I pick a long running show (more than 50 episdoes) back up, I will rewatch it again.
>Valvrave 6 times
How autistic do you have to be to keep count of how many times you watched something?
TTGL all day err day
you could have watched 100 - 200 different standard length anime in that time, thats like every good one ever made.
ive never rewatched a full series but ive rewatched a lot of episodes from long series such as dragon ball and one piece. Other anime's consist of Monster, Binbougami-ga, Ano natsu de matteru, Kami sama no memo chou. Psycho pass.
>Code Geass over a dozen times
>Death Note 5 times
>Valvrave 6 times
Dude, why are you the way you are?
I could go back and watch Haruhi any day of the week and still enjoy it every time.
On the topic of manga I think I've reread Onani Master Kurosawa at least 10 times by now.
TTGL, Ouran High School Host Club, and Paranoia Agent.
And Cowboy Bebop
What is Black Lagoon twice and Panty and Stocking twice
I have a hard time watching something again unless I really enjoyed it
How much better is it? I've had it installed for months and just haven't gotten to it yet. I loved the show, though.
This is the worstly veiled recommendation thread and yet for some reason you're all replying.
Cry hard about it
Christ I know that feeling, between my 5 longest shows I could've watched almost exactly 100 one cour, or 50 two cour
every thread is a recommendation thread
I've watched both seasons of Deskcar around 3 times. Gintama twice. Yu Yu Hakusho twice.
Fullmetal Alchemist twice
FMA Brotherhood twice
Code geass twice
Gurren Lagann twice
All of those were just re-watching with friends because they didn't watch it and I get a kick from people experiencing good things.
OP here. no, i had no intention to make it a recommendation thread. I made this thread out of sheer curiosity. I want to know how popular rewatching a series is among /a/nons. And surprisingly, a lot of /a/nons rewatch anime quite a bit.
>Utena over 100 times
is that shit just on repeat?
NGE + EOE
Cowboy Bebop + Movie
Gunbuster (Ep 5)
Ghost in the Shell (movie)
Samurai Champloo (certain episodes)
Blue Sub No.6
Will probably end up adding KLK and Hellsing Ultimate to that list soon.
Call me a pleb. I don't give a single fuck.
>between my 5 longest shows I could've watched almost exactly 100 one cour, or 50 two cour
Between my top TWO longest shows I could have watched that much. One Piece and Detective Conan are fucking absurdly long. My next eight longest shows add up to 1342 more episodes.
I wind up rewatching shows because I either don't finish them and then go back months later and have to start over from the beginning.
Or because I'm showing them to friends and watch with them.
I keep rewatching TTGL because I keep making new friends and eventually they wind up watching it with me. Its the same reason I've seen Firefly and The Fifth Element way too many god damned times.
OP, I have personally watched Boku no Pico countless number of times.
I suggest you start watching Boku no Pico right away, as you will get to enjoy this masterpiece of anime more times in your finite life.
Nichijou 3 times
Yuru Yuri 2 times
Gj-Bu 2 times
Toradora every Christmas
Lord of the Rings trilogy 6 times
>Lord of the Rings trilogy 6 times
You some kind of tolkien fagget? You guys are the worst
I watched it 9 times, 4 of those were a marathon
>Lord of the Rings trilogy
I used to watch it every three months.
I've watched it over 20 times.
I don't really think it's too great, just something I did.
ToraDora abou 3-4 times i think
Dokuro-chan 3-4 times
Is this a LOTR thread now? pic related, best girl
FLCL, because it's great and it's short
please tell me you read the books
>Not posting legol-
Oh wait. Wow, I am impressed, I guess the position of best girl is undisputed.
I think you are mistaken, this is the prettiest girl in lotr.
Of course, 3 times to be exact.
i can watch this shit again and again and i will still laught at it
not anime, but the sopranos
.hack//sign, if only for the amazing soundtrack
Evangelion every two years (no EoE and last 2 eps)
Yakitate!!Japan every birthday
Kazemakase Tsukikage Ran about 4 times (seriously)
Lain 3 times
Cowboy Bebop possibly 3 times
Samurai Champloo ~twice
Boogipop Phantom two times
Danshi Koukousei twice
Too many shows, faggot
I watched both seasons Mitsudomoe a total of 7 times. I was out of internet for a month and only had that.
K-ON is the only series I've watched all the way through more than once.
NGE + End of
You know, all the series people usually shit on, here on /a/.
Lain - twice
That was just because my friends wanted to watch it together; I was essentially forced to. I've only ever rewatched individual episodes before.
Sakurasou, High School DxD, Oreimo and one other I think.
Akagi (mostly to try to understand what the fuck is going on)
A few arcs from Jinrui
Bake and Nise monogatari
K-on (dubbed first then subbed) and Daily Lives of High School Boys.
That show is probably as close to perfect as anything can get. For some reason I just don't get tired of it. If only the OP was as perfect as the ED, it's get an 11/10.
NGE 4 times
Hyouka 3 times
Madoka 5 times (rewatched with the commentary)
Bakemonogatari 2 times
Gunbuster 2 times
TTGL 2 times
Yahari 2 times
FLCL 3 times
Gundam Unicorn 3 times
I rarely watch things more than once. I usually just dont see the point when I know whats gonna happen. That being said, I've rewatched Geass a few times and I also quite like Last Exile.
Spice and Wolf... probably 5 times
Makes me wanna rewatch Death Note. If only it didn't take such a nose dive after you know what.
Sora no Otoshimono 6 times
Kuragehime's probably my most rewatched unless you count the amount of times I watched the first Pokémon movie as a kid.
If we count stuff we saw as a kid I must've seen the Digimon movie a million times.
Spice and Wolf 1+2
Welcome to the NHK
Elfen Lied shortly after it aired. I was 12.
>implying you're not wasting time right now
I'm around my 8th viewing of Katanagatari
I watch all of initial d through at least once a year. Shame its coming to an end.
i am watching two different anime, browsing /a/ and studying as we speak
Who the fuck watches 2 shows at the same time?
I rewatch Inferno Cop every day since 3 months ago.
FMAB, Akagi, Saki + Side A, Code Geass, DBZ, Gintama, Mouretsu Pirates, LoLH s2 never ;_;
not you obviously
I rewatched Sora no Woto 5 times
I am not even joking ;_;
Other than that, Soredemo twice
>I watched GitS '95 movie atleast 6 times.
Better every time.
Same with all Oshii movies.
>tfw when you go back to re-watch your favorite anime but it's not nearly as magical as the first time.
I've watched a few halfway through again but could never really finish them because of this reason
Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (though I haven't seen this in years)
Eve no Jikan
I rewatch Code Geass every year.
Off the top of my head:
>K-ON! ~5 times
>Aria ~3 times
>NGE ~5 times
>Jinrui 3 times
>Bakemonogatari 3 times
>Welcome to the NHK twice
>Inferno Cop 3 times
>Strawberry Panic At least 6 or 7 times
Intending to watch pretty much every single anime I've watched so far again though.
same guy trolling
C-Can you explain that whole ending to me? What was with the god stuff? It's been a few years since I've seen it but I didn't get it when I did.
The Monogatari Series, excluding the Second Season, at least twice.
Eva Rebuild Movies at least twice
Welcome to the NHK
Spice and Wolf
Toradora, every year during Christmas time since it aired.
Honey and Clover both seasons 3 times.
something something god something something sword of akasha something something geass something something power of the king something something code something something time. Hope it makes sense now.
nvm complete faggot
I've watched a majority of the shows I like twice, since I show most of them to a friend.
I rewatch FLCL and PSG all the time
They're great background shows.
I think I've watched OniAi 3 times at least.
arakawa under the bridge
korean zombie (only s1)
Date A Live
I have so many shows to watch like geass that I don't have time to waste on rewatching things
True tears till the last episode (episode 7) every fall.
just quit after 25 and say that's how it ended. anyway I couldn't watch a detective or suspense series more than once because I can't get into those plots when I know what happens
one week since you looked at me
cocked your head to the side and said I'm angry
I only recently learned that it was 3 movies spliced together with numerous edits, kinda like voltron or robotech
I've watched the TTGL movies at least twice.
are they worth watching after the series? I hear the second one has like an alternate ending or something?
I guess I technically watched Digimon Tamers twice, although the first time was when I was a kid and I didn't remember anything about it.
Big O same deal as above
That's all I think.
I rewatch a random anime episode every day.
I re-watched an episode of watamoto once
That's about it
Pani Poni Dash
Read or Die (all of it)
Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere
Definitely forgetting stuff, but these are the ones I rewatch most frequently.
>watched digimon tamers
>as a kid
Second one has an amazing redone final battle.
Gurren Lagann gets another, bigger mecha iteration
There just is something magical about it, isn't there?
They're basically recaps of the series, but they've got some cool new stuff (4 generals battleship gattai, Viral gets his own version of Dai-Gurren, Everyone gets their own Tengen Toppa mech during final battle), but all of the major events still take place, including the major deaths.
I'd recommend them if you like TTGL.
It was great, except for the main character.
>including the major deaths
Worth noting that all the second-rate ganmen pilots that get killed off before the final battle are spared in the movies.
I meant like Kamina, Lordgenome, Kittan, and Nia.
That'd be a really long list, so let's narrow it down to the series I watched more than a dozen times:
Hunter X Hunter ('99)
I think that's it.
School Days (the second time was while getting wasted with bros, though)
About 50% rewatch:
Dirty Pair, at least the OVA.
Probably watched it at least four or five times.
I can never get enough hot 80s ass.
I've watched Darker than Black about twenty times, including the OVAs and the mythical second season. No continuation or prequel is something I'm not taking very well, though. ;__;[/spoiler
Some of them I watched 5+ times because I liked them enough. Most those are just like 2-3 times watched.
Neon Genesis Evangelion (with movies)
Ghost in the Shell (most the movies too)
Cowboy Bebop: The Movie
Howl's Moving Castle
Code Geass R1+R2
Eden of the East
Vandread (no idea why twice)
Romeo x Juliet
Ouran High School Host Club
Their deaths are cheapened by the fact that all the B squad survive. And something just wasn't right about Kittan's voice in the movie, it was much more high pitched.
I can't even imagine how many times I've watched Pierrot le Fou, Ballad of Fallen Angels and Toys in the Attic.
How can you watch kino's journey after you know what's coming?
Just because I know whats coming doesn't make it suddenly bad. Kinos Journey is one of my all time favorites and I've seen it 5x times. Never gets old for me.
Its the same with TTGL. Watched that countless times and I still get excited during it.
I'm not trying to say that it's bad, but more, how can you put yourself through such suffering and sadness again?
So much rewatching, hard to remember
Black Butler x7
Hetalia x20 plus the movies!
Not sure if I ever suffered through it. I normally saw it as calming yet thought provoking.
But episode four!
And that horribly nihilistic episode.
The OP is so cheery, and everyone is so happy.
Get Backers (like, 3 or 4 times)
Code Geass and Death Note
What the fuck. Did you even read his post? Baka.
Wow, you must be a retard to be calling people autistic for having a decent memory.
Utena, it's one of those shows where you notice something new each time.
This thread makes me want to sell my anime DVDs, I've rarely re-watched any of them and they take up a lot of space.
I wonder If the last race is ever going to become animated.
