And Golden Retriever is the most superior dog of all time
Previous Thread: >>100048812
Did someone say Dogs and Lolis?
Isn't there a zip file of that somewhere on the web?
Any news on volume 6 translations?
skythewood is still ongoing for ch.3
that is not german shepherd
Serara is almost as fucking useless as Minori. But at least she has a real job instead of looking at a door while everyone else fights
>you'll never pet a loyal golden retriever which not afraid to death for its owner's safety
I honestly don't know how Japanese MMOs compare to the western ones but. Uh.
That role that Minori took up? Never existed in my parties at least, just a tank, a healer, and DPS. Bonus points if you could get a backup tank/healer in case shit went down.
The party as a whole kept an eye out and would say something if they noticed mobs incoming, but mostly it was about the tank positioning himself properly and making sure to watch your own ass so you don't agro mobs that hadn't been pulled.
Best OTP of 2014 coming through.
The first 2 aren't out yet though, right?
Isuzu went to shit tier this week for me. Anyone else find her comparing a person to a dog more condescending and rude than endearing?
>That role that Minori took up? Never existed in my parties at least, just a tank, a healer, and DPS.
>tank, a healer, and DPS
Mamore isn't a trash-player from the trash-generation of MMO's, as you seem to be.
Back in the day, there was a bit more than the "holy trinity" or whatever you children label it.
I don't know if I'd go as far as saying a "field monitor" is necessary, though.
Oh, definitely, but don't worry. She's comparing her love interest to a dog, so there's some karmic justice there.
Hey guys, how good are the novel translations that are out right now? Are they worth reading? Also, any clue how far along the anime is in relation to the novels?
In a real battle, you'd want a spotter to make sure reinforcements aren't approaching from a blind spot.
I'm gonna keep saying this every time until I see romantic implications.
Rudy salivating like that didn't help his case.
But maybe Minori and Serara see that she wants the (knotted) dick.
>there was a bit more than the "holy trinity"
There was when I played MMOs too, but the point was the 'holy trinity' was the bread and butter of a group. You needed it to get anything done, the DPS could be changed to suit the purpose of the instance/dungeon specifically.
with ranged dps and healers there are no blind spots. You just position them so they can look past what they are fighting and see what is coming. Minori is dead weight
What? Almost every MMO has that 'role'. It may not be class specific, but its something that is done.
Healer, Tank, Rest are DPS. At least one of these players will be responsible for leading the group and in harder instances, (preferably another) player is responsible for keeping an eye on mobs and notifying the party of certain mechanics.
Yes, you can rely on one of the other party members to hopefully inform you about an incoming patrol or something but in random groups, people are far more likely to be stupid and in pre-arranged groups, its easier to just give that job to one person.
Golden Retrievers have a lot of health problems. Rudy confirmed for hip dysplasia.
You mean first person as opposed to third person?
I dunno, I still wouldn't want a person in the party to literally only be a pair of eyes.
Mother of god, I'll be gone for the next 30~ minutes 4chan, was nice talking to you.
You know how on 'world firsts' or guild runs there's always one and one person only who says 'adds incoming' or 'get ready to move'? There's a reason for that,
You're thinking in top-down mode, not limited first-person tunnelvision mode.
Besides, her role is damage prevention, so she has leeway in looking around between casting barriers.
If you lure monsters to save plase, that was already checked as clean, you don't need field monitor, because other monsters don't wander too much. Some of these rules were like from some fps not mmo.
Shes a zoophile. She's just saying she wants Rudy's princely cock.
"Rudy's Royal Knot" is a more regal and elegant turn of phrase.
Yes, first person, where one guy is the only person with the map and the database.
I'm quite stoked that there's a Tactician subclass, I bet they gain xp for buffing/debuffing and clearing Fog of War.
I acknowledged it was something that needs to be done, but it was something that was typically handled by
>A. The tank picks a good position to tank the mobs, LoS the ranged mobs and the like to get them clustered together, this usually resolves the situation for melee DPS
>B. The ranged classes huddle together in a relatively safe area to unload damage and heal while keeping an eye out for mobs during casting times
There was never a single person who picked up the role, granted, I've never played a 1st person MMO before.
Given Volume 7's double Raid Boss Kool-Aid entry, field monitor can only gain more importance from here on out.
I couldn't believe this part.
>"It would be a waste for both Serara and I to heal"
Makes perfect sense. Let's ignore the fact that Kannagi are better at preventing damage than healing it, and that Serara could have been caster other spells while you took care of the group. Nope, you can just look around every once in a while without ever actually doing anything.
Rudy uses a magic hairbrush that is supposed to be for pets.
Even WoW had healing rotation in vanilla.
He also has the most beautiful hair in the party, though Isuzu's fluffy locks are quite cute.
When do they cuddle?
Eugh, I don't really want to pull out WoW credentials.
But back in Vanilla WoW my guild was the Horde first on our server in terms of clearing Naxaramas, we never got past the frost dragon though before BBC came out.
We still didn't have a designated 'spotter' though, if you saw something you reported it on Teamspeak, otherwise you stuck with what you were supposed to do and didn't fuck it up for the raid.
Golden retrievers are normalfag-tier dogs
>Not getting a dingo
That part did not make sense to me. Why the hell wouldn't he use a Taunt AFTER someone grabbed the aggro? That's what a taunt is for. Standard practice is a 1-3 second wait depending on party mix to let a tank get the lead on aggro before going all out.
I think they mixed up 'taunt' and 'high-threat' abilities.
Because they're still scrubs. And this method is safer for them since those skeletons move quite fast and all that.
I wouldn't say "shit tier", but I didn't appreciate the jabs at his expense. He's proud, and for good reason. He's the closest thing to an actual hero in the story so far because he leveled all the way up without immortality or godmode hax, and he willingly sacrifices himself to save others.
In the end though, I think she was just calling him cute more than anything.
This training camp has little or no 'classroom time' portion in which they could sit down and be taught these things.
Which makes a certain amount of sense, since the whole 'puttin on a clinic' thing was a cover for Marielle to eat crab and have fun in the sun. So far the advice we have seen Marielle and Naotsugu dash off basically amounts to: believe in yourself, kids!
I feel for the groups who don't have a notebook full of useful advice.
This, she has a thing for dogs.
Otherwise they wouldn't be a OTP.
I want to fuck Henrietta and cum on Isuzu's freckles.
The other group is more advanced than they are and weren't enslaved by another guild, so they probably had time to practice and learn things about ET. But yeah, the instructors could have done a better job of teaching.
When she catches up with him after he revives, she teaches him the dog shake.
That's because there is no element of surprise in mmos. You would know exactly what you fight in advance.
Taking a dungeon for the first time that role could be a lot more valuable, and she was a backup healer, she said it herself.
Rudy was one shotting those skeletons. Aggro gone. The second group they came up to after had not been part of the battle so even if the total threat he had accumulated had still been active, they weren't part of it.
Trash isn't relatively threatening in WoW, even in vanilla. There's not much lost when you die, either, just some repair cost and time running back. Yoiu don't lose gear or experience or delevel or anything like that. Adds also don't sneak up on the party generally, and it's rarely going to turn the tide even if one does show up. WoW dungeons and raids are purely about the boss battles. Trash is just there fire timewasting and pacing.
This episode was so much fun! Loved every second of it!~
Not really one shotting since Tohya deals quite a bit before Rudy attacks. The first time they entered Rudy's attacks weren't OHKOing them and that's why he stole aggro.
I'm sure that if everyone was privy to memory fragmentation, the mentors would've been more informative.
As is, they don't seem to consider that dying still hurts like a bitch. That can fuck with a kid's psyche.
When you die, you lose XP but from what point?
Since leaving town? Entering the dungeon?
I think it only makes sense from the standpoint it's first person. You can have the ranged and melee rubbernecking all the time in an MMO where your body movements and vision need to track the mobs.
In a 3rd person MMO you can change the camera angle constantly without having to worry about screwing up your fighting.
I think it's just a simple EXP penalty based on your level and current EXP points.
Because Orb of Lava creates more threat than Toyota's taunts can, meaning he'd have to dump all his taunts on a single mob to keep their attention if Rudie throws out his spells first. Thats why he wanted Rudie to wait, so he could taunt the mob and get a sturdy hold on their aggro
I assume you lose a percentage of your total exp.
This was damn painful in old RO.
Having one dedicated spotter is actually worse than not having one. Eventually there would be a point where one person cant watch everything so you would be better off having everyone watch something.
Except the tank because everyone knows tanks are the laziest member of the group
HenriettaXShiroe doujins when?
NaotsuguXMarielle doujins when?
AkatsukiXShiroeXNaotsuguXNyanta doujins when?
It's not a fixed time of accumulated exp. You lose a portion of your filled xp bar like in Everquest. In EQ, you could actually delevel.
A set percentage to next level, I think.
Unless it can go into negative, too (Lv90 with -50% xp from 89 to 90 to make up)...
I'll ask Mamare when the anime ends.
That's not how a taunt works. A taunt forces an enemy to attack. You're describing high threat attacks from both of them. The purpose of a taunt is to grab the enemy and force their attention back on you after the grace period is over.this guy cleared it up for me.>>100096638
>having everyone watch something
If people all knew how to pay attention, there wouldn't be people still standing in the fire.
>Except the tank because everyone knows tanks are the laziest member of the group
As a former WoW tank, you're standing too close to the fight to effectively see anything.
I was the raid-leader, so I wouldn't say I was lazy.
That is true when it comes to games. This is no longer a game, things change and stuff. You don't have minimaps, your vision is limited, your attention is on the enemy in front of you or else you'll end up getting hurt/dead, etc.
Do players like these actually exist?
I mean not understanding basic party&raid formations, rotations and etc?
I never had a problem with this and never encountered such players.
Well except for retards who pull mobs and get wiped.
Didn't do them much good since they all died
Go do Raidfinder in WoW. They exist even at level cap.
oh dear god...what...what about max evelled players?
It's been awhile, but I have some bad memories about the plague wing with regards to mob patrols and burn down times.
Biggest problem being a 40 man raid can't reposition itself like a party can.
Tomahawk mentioned that the taunt acts like it's delivered huge damage to the monsters, but doesn't actually do that, so either it was bad translations, bad understanding by Thomas or Elder Tales has a different kind of taunt
>All your gear is max level
>Level drop after several wipes in a dungeon
>Can't use any of your shit
>Friend gets unauthorized access to your account
>De-levels you a fucktonne
I don't see how a level-drop would ever be considered a good idea
Mobs are getting smarter, and Regan says that they'll retain those tactics even though they'll consider them stories, so the constants the players have taken for granted are being chipped away...
It was actually interesting, because some of the "lower level" dungeons had raid bosses that could boot you out of the zone if you were too high level to prevent you from soloing them for farming purposes. People would sometimes purposefully delevel so they could run their lower level friend through these places. It was really rare, but I saw it happen once or twice. And we're talking about a game where it takes you several hours of grinding to get a single level near the endgame.
>now you can have fun leveling up again!
I never played WoW on global, only private servers. Private servers are usually full of experienced players.
I played RaiderZ on global, great game but a lot of players were completely oblivious to dodging, blocking or interrupting mob attacks. Everyone was too used to the whole point and click, avoid AoE attacks playstyle.
I want more action-oriented mmos ;_;
It's been ten years since I last played, but I believe FFXI's provoke worked like that. It wasn't a taunt that forced the mob on you, but rather just generated an amount of threat and tanks had to keep spamming it as part of their rotation.
Maybe Elder tales has a mechanic where abilities can have percieved damage, and enemies aggro the ones who deal the most percieved damage.
It would make sense with what Touya and Isuzu said.
This could make things insanely fun though, or terrifying.
Like, a well organized dungeon that responds immediately to intrusion could ruin any point of sending out a party of adventurers.
"Perceved Damage" is just their way of saying "threat/hate/etc." for viewers that aren't familiar with the terms and mechanics of MMOs.
I think she meant it in a "how cute, he's like a dog" way, not a "oh gross, he's like a dog" way. Still a bit condescending, but hell, it's not like she said so to his face and hurt his feelings.
Don't take it so seriously.
Sadly it's true. Played a nelf dk. Plenty of interupts. almost never used them. except in pvp.would shadowmeld at a location that needed to be held and wait for the enemy in blood spec. loved it every time I ganked a rogue.
She's a dog lover anyway, so it's ok.
So is Crusty going to bang the princess, and if so does that mean he wants to bang his sister?
Yeah that is why they should move on CQB an become specops.
I was an ENC in EQ (vanilla-velious era) and we were generally expected to call out adds. It signaled to the party that you were on the crowd control case, and prevented people from panicking, routing and/or gating. If you got three adds in EQ as an ENC and you weren't paying attention, it could go from zero to pandemonium in about 3 seconds. If three adds ganged up on a pure caster he basically died instantly if you didn't run over there and stun them with a pbae.
If he died he was going to be pissed at you and calling them out was like covering your ass. "Look, I noticed them and did everything I could. I wasn't jerking off."
I played DK myself, the class itself was really fun, the whole presence system was a great feature.
In blood-spec + frost presence, you could easily tank+heal yourself, although I went with blood-plague spec for pvp.
Thats what happens in Book 7. Shiroe, Naotsugu, Demikas and the Silver Sword are going on a raid, and when they arrive at the boss room, a second raid boss from the dungeon shows up and helps the first one, wiping the whole raid team out
When they go in for a second go, prepared to fight two bosses, A THIRD ONE SHOWS UP
>Go out on the sea with your guild to fight some sea monsters
>Suddenly your ship fleet is surrounded by a school of raid boss class sea monsters, lured there by the smell of blood in the water
EverQuest was a fucking brutal MMO, at least in the first few expansions.
>Lose a fuckton of experience if you die, can even delevel (though having your corpse rezzed by a Cleric or Paladin can restore most of this
>When you die, instead of respawning at a nearby graveyard, you return to a single "bind point" that can be set anywhere by a caster
>This means you could respawn on the other side of the world and have to spend an hour or 2 getting back to the zone you were in (pre- Planes of Knowledge expansion where they added fucking warps everywhere)
>Did I mention that when you die, you leave behind your corpse with all your gear on it?
>Congratulations, now you're running back naked!
>And that corpse? Oh yeah, if you leave it unlooted for 7 days, it expires! You just lost all the gear you spent 200 hours collecting. Cry more faggot.
>Oh, and enemies that are equal level to you can kill you in 10 or so hits (less if you're a caster), so don't even fuck around if you aren't a class good at soloing
>But you'll be safe at low levels right?
>Fuck no you won't. Half the low level zones have some crazy ass level 50+ enemy(ies) that patrols the zone and can aggro you from 800 miles away. For no good reason.
My other character was a dranei hunter. They had the best jokes. But they completely changed the talent system. Used to have huge debates over putting one point in this or that, full focus on one skill tree or a bit from all three...now you choose a spec and one talent every fifteen levels or so. It's too streamlined. Thought about picking up GW2 or something but I dunno anymore.
>Play Blood-DK tank
>PvP in tank gear. Respectable damage through Vengeance
>Shitloads of health; effective self-heals; virtually impossible to kill when cooldowns were used
>Could survive solo against 5 other players, distracting them from doing something more important
>Vengeance nerfed in PvP
Blood-DK WAS fun ;_;
I never got to play Everquest but I remember I loved how hard Lineage 2 was with how you could lose both your items and xp if you died. And guilds could take over whole cities and increase the taxes on the stores and shit.
If you're looking for something less streamlined, don't bother with GW2. It's even more hand-holdy, and each class is lucky to have more than 2 viable specs.
I still play Lineage 2 to this day.
Saw the Lineage 3 (Eternal) trailer, it's going to be shit...
Is there anything nowadays with high customization? maybe some crafting too?
just go play Tera and be a little girl like you always wanted
The best in terms of skill customization and crafting is Mabinogi, but its playerbase is nothing but 12-year-old weeaboos, and it has been ruined by Nexon.
Played a bit, but never got to endgame.
wouldn't mind trying again
I don't wanna be a little girl. Rather be a ninja. But a ninja like Hattori Hanzo.
>I don't want to be a little girl
I don't understand.
Oh, and I forgot the best part:
>Enemies you aggro but don't hit can aggro on other players as you're running away
>Hey look Tim the Bard was minding his own business being AFK in a safe area of the zone when you killed him with the train of mobs you were running from. Way to go, dick.
When you get the hang of it, the game becomes too easy.
Being a necromancer you could abuse the whole summon system and basically be invincible.
I thought you might not. I just like the thought of being a ninja who uses a spear.
I don't know if it's still active, but silkroad online had such features.
That can still happen in 'modern' MMOs. In anything with heal aggro you can find people who lure trains of mobs to anyone with heals, waiting for them to have to pop a heal then watching their entire train of mobs decimate them. Also, some MMOs still have field mobs with really powerful AoEs. You'd see high-level players aggro them and lure them to lower levels to kill them with the AoE. I guess what I'm saying is that, even though MMOs have gotten more casual, assholes still exist.
>Fuck no you won't. Half the low level zones have some crazy ass level 50+ enemy(ies) that patrols the zone and can aggro you from 800 miles away. For no good reason.
Sure there was a reason! How else will the kids learn the situation awareness that will be vital in the endgame? Or the comradeship born of shared suffering? Roving death mobs was a feature.
It seems to be a feature of ET as well, since field zones have bosses and I assume some of them roam around.
I love spears. I'm just waiting for Vindictus NA to get lynn (maybe in 10 months based on our update schedule) and I'm not playing anything until that time comes. She''s a little girl too (sort of) so it's a bonus for me.
What astounds me is that people still complain about this even when the high-levels mobs don't aggro. Oh, you died because that mob you tabbed to and attacked while not paying attention was quadruple your level? Guess you should pay attention from now, fuckface. But, no, people claim that's bad game design now-a-days.
Not everyone wants to be a little girl, anon. I, for one, always play an adult male healer so I can watch over my imoutos and keep them safe as they call me onii-chan.
Let's not forget about when you aggro a single mob and his pathing AI glitches out and he goes on the dungeon world tour, rolling up a ball of enemies that razes everything in its path like the Golden Horde, wiping out every group in the zone and inevitably being drawn to the entrance by fleeing players.
I will never forget the feeling of seeing every player in a zone get killed and hanging outside the zone entrance naked. Just dozens and dozens of people destroyed by bad ai.
That's not a bug, it's a feature.
I like to play characters who are large in size, perhaps because I'm short, or because I like huge characters.
>not keeping them safe by playing a tank instead
It's like you want your imoutos to get hit, you sick bastard.
EQ is outdated in a lot of ways, but the sheer terror you felt when you encountered something alone that was completely out of your league is something I'll never forget as long as I live. The consequences of death in that game were too severe, and you just knew if the thing aggroed you or if that invisibility spell you had on yourself were to inconveniently fall, you were fucked. In short, if you saw a dragon patrolling in Everquest, you ran the fuck away. You didn't question why the fuck there was a dragon in a zone full of mostly level 25+ creatures. You just knew you needed to not be there at the time.
After watching LH I'm tempted to make my Mains all 5'7" buff versions of myself. but with better hair.
Its time again for our weekly Which Horizon you Horizon Poll:
Last Weeks Pollwinner was: Akatsuki
>That role that Minori took up? Never existed in my parties at least, just a tank, a healer, and DPS.
If you are only fighting easy monsters, then you don't need a char with Shiroe or Minori's casting and guidance skills. However, in Ragnarok Online's War of Emperium, you have characters that provide coordination plus actual support during combat such as a sage-type char (sage-->professor-->sorceror). They often perform DOS actions upon opponents (land protector, etc) and support (indulge, etc).
Yeah, maybe it was actually good ai. Those running mobs were like Paul Fucking Revere. "Brothers, the Adventurers are here! Join me and we will destroy them...together!"
I suppose I'll throw my hat into the 'hurr, you don't know what you're talking about,' ring and say that, while not to the extent of doing nothing but watching for adds like was portrayed in this episode, quite a few MMOs I've played in the past have had roles which where almost completely focused on debuffing and CCing adds. In one, every dungeon had multiple patrolling mobs which not only patrolled the entirity of the dungeon, but also respawned, so you'd have to have at least one person on constant alert. I was often that person as my class had one of the best sleep spells in the game, so if I wasn't debuffing or DDing, I was CCing an add and pointing it out to the tank.
Isuzu strikes me as girlfriend material, more than any of the others.
Haha, time for Wood Elf Ranger Shenanigans!
Agreed. She's down to earth and totally cute as a button.
>Wood Elf Ranger
Please, High Elf Cleric is where it's at.
I miss deathballs.
Anarchy online had a dungeon zone that was basically 30 levels of content. Every single monster except one boss could be pulled to the entrance and you were locked out of the zone after hitting level 60. So once the deathball started there was no stopping it
So could an assassin still be a ninja if they didn't take tracker? If they took hunter they could sense life around them without actually seeing it.
Are there players that are whoring for money? Is someone smart enough to make a whore house - easy money!
And look on the bright side, when you inevitably disappoint her in bed, she can use one of her songs to increase your vitality. You useless sack of shit.
Can Shiroe change classes with reality-rewriting scribe power yet? Minori is an Enchanter stuck in the body of a Kannagi.
Look up the classes and their skill lists on the wiki, Sins have a few stealth skills that aren't tied to their subclass.
If you're going High Elf, it's got to be Enchanter or Wizard bro. Mage is okay though slightly less so.
So...what abilities do they possess? I mean shit, I'd pay just to find out.
>Blonde Elf Girl
What about Brown Elf PKer?
Does Log Horizon have a lot of feels?
Or is it like Shingeki no Kyojin?
It took her forever to realize she needed to cast her barrier spells before someone took damage, not after. I think Enchanter would make her head explode.
you guys never played EVE, I would have a cute miss minori as my scout everyday.
Fun Fact: Rudy would probably be around level 50 if it wasn't for the fact that Landers only get 25% of the XP that Adventurers do.
> sack of shit.
>not meat stick
I am disappoint anon
To be honest, I'm not one for min-maxxing. I simply love the concept of a high-born elf being a condescending prick to everyone as he heals them after their fuck-ups.
>not motorboating Marielle
As someone who never got into EvE but likes playing support roles, is there really that much demand for players of that role?
Mirelle is cockhungry
You might now be one for min-maxing, but High-Elves start with the highest wisdom in the game, making them the best Clerics. My main was a High-Elf wizard, so I just have a soft spot for them. Erudites are boring.
I think I'd be their version of a werewolf. Then see if I could get a painter who's levelled up to tattoos and a sigilmaker to work on my skin and see if that changed my fur color when I go wolf mode.
The best tanks are the ones who shut up and do what they're told by the people who can see what's going on.
funny way of saying DESK
While also not being a self-important asshole like most tanks.
>I can stand in front of a boss and press a threat rotation, aren't I great, guys?
Do they beat the three of them?
Anyone in the Wildstar beta? It has some potential for comfy.
If you think about it: Tanking is probably one of the easiest jobs to do well
How does it feel knowing you're a disappointment to everyone you know?
Demikas kites them while Shiroe gets to the loot pile they were there for
nope drown your hopes right now
>High elf cleric
Way to minmax, also not going Human monk.
> Tanking is probably one of the easiest jobs to do well
Holy shit anon, you don't know squat about tanking 101
Honestly, it depends on the content. I wasn't being fair with the 'hurr roation' thing, as while MTing a boss is typically pretty easy, there are a lot of other factors to consider in other forms of tanking, especially off-tanking in content with lots of adds.
They get all the bitches, too. See Soujirou.
As I said in >>100098676, that actually wasn't my intention. It is what I made when I first got into the game, as I like elves and playing a healer.
I want to play Summoner so that I can tank, heal, and dps at once and micro manage everything.
Oh, so he gets some redemption? After his dickery, why are they letting him help them again?
In EVE it's like herding a bunch of ships looking for fights. So you would have a few people who fly small fast ships that can turn invisible go looking around in different zones reporting enemy fleet movements to you. Of course this is in PVP, in PVE everyone just brings their most expensive shit that can pump out the most DPS and DPS tank mobs.
Dark Elf roleplayers, man: edges gonna edge.
Yeah tanking gets pretty difficult when it comes to high end raids (that's why I enjoyed doing it).
Most of the difficulty is working together effectively with the other tank.
I was a tank and raid-leader when I used to play WoW.
Why can't anyone play Drow well without it devolving into Drizzet clones?
Drows are edgy by default
That's what I thought. In the limited time I played EvE those sort of things were pretty evident. Even while flying my crappy newbie ship that I didn't really care if I lost, my heart still raced when I flew into a nosec area and saw a huge ship waiting there. I suppose if I ever gave it another go and really got into it, I'd probably enjoy it, but with all of the entry barriers, such as the skill-training and learning curve, I don't know.
We've yet to see a Dark Elf in LH, afaik. Do elves even come in delicious wood elf brown?
>I mean not understanding basic party&raid formations, rotations and etc?
These are people who've never played an MMO before. They don't know what a "raid" even is and are only just learning their classes. Give them some slack.
Why is it always WoW you guys talk in these threads?
You know it's a fucking shitty casual game, right?
Wait, is...5'7 short?
If Shiroe were like most players, Minori would open the notebook he gave her and it would just say 'lol git gud'
yeah the time it takes to train skills so you can perform your role effectively takes a really long time. If you like playing a healer you can't just train to a single level of the skill that lets you repair other ships, cause you just won't be effective and are more of a deadweight than anything.
For new players you're almost always made a grunt, or some sacrificial bait, then you learn more skills and slowly progress from there.
Aren't all MMOs shitty casual games?
>We've yet to see a Dark Elf in LH
Second episode brah
So they worship a spider goddess and they have vaginas full of spiders, they aren't too bad if you get to know them. Pathfinder drow here
WoW actually hasn't been mentioned that much. Everquest has been mentioned by name far more in this thread. I, for one, actually never got into WoW, never progressing past level 20 or so. All of my time playing MMOs was in other games.
Shiro didn't browse /vg/ before the apocalypse, to my knowledge.
Where's best Log?
I agree with you though, that guy is very short, but keep it over there.
>decide to read the LN
One main problem.
Anyone have anything formatted so it can be ebook-reader compatible? I've found just wiki text and pastebins.
Also, LN has blood and Akatsuki slitting throats from pure pragmatism.
According to /fit/, yes.
In reality it depends on where you live.
Does that mean if ET before Apocalypse is also a shitty casual game?
Most of the 'mainstream' ones now-a-days are, but there are still a few that are pretty 'hardcore,' for lack of a better term, such as Darkfall which, while it's not all-in-all a great game, it has pretty good action combat, open-world PKing, and pretty harsh death penalties.
That's a delicious brown elf though
She IS wearing skull shaped earrings, so I guess I'll allow it.
>ET will never exist because of 20 years worth of detailed content
Are Dark elves closer to Drow or Brown elves? Where do they come from?
Everquest is pretty close, it's coming up on 14 years now.
skin color variations in elves are usually attributed to their home region
pale elves live in caves and dark places
brown elves live in sub-saharan or coastal regions
blue elves live in arctic locations
>white elves live in german
they live in a language?
But why are High Elves so pale, while blue elves (drow) are in subterranean locations? And brown elves are usually forest elves and they live under the cover of the trees.
becuz high elves are always high, nigga
smoke weed everyday
I want to type Germany, seems like my mother language and my english just mixed each other
I want to cum into her hair.
>But why are High Elves so pale
Because they're stoners
What a bother.
Elf skin is related to the content of their character, not where they live. Light elves are pure and good, dark elves are dark and corrupt, wood elves are connected to the earth.
What if they're sluts
You know what bothers me, /a/?
What bothers me is how taunts/provocation skills work on the undead in this series.
I don't remember it ever being that way, if anything, the undead are immune to taunts and poisons.
It worked that way since Naxxramas
I still haven't read Volume 4, I gotta get to it before next week
They're all sluts.
>not all being sluts
Except for the classy dames of middle earth. I don't want to make Tolkien any sadder than he already is.
Imagine if someone tried to explain Log Horizon to him. It would be like a foreign anime knockoff (fake mmo) of a video game ripoff (real mmo) of a pen and paper ripoff (dungeons and dragons) of Lord of the Rings.
Fuckin immortal ass elves....
>Imagine if someone tried to explain Log Horizon to him
Bad idea, mate. Tolkien was fucking racist.
His Orcs were black people and his Dwarves were the Irish.
lets not even go into what he thought about the asians.
I wonder how thousand year old loli pussy feels like
gonna need source on that
Well there would be other issues if we raised him from the dead, like fighting his skeleton, so it's a bad idea all around.
No, it definitely feels illegal, and that's the point.
>Tolkien was fucking racist
Oh no, how terrible.
I would say Tolkien's pretty accurate
Then what did the elves stand in for?
>his Dwarves were the Irish.
Alcoholic, short-tempered, thick beards, portly and can curse like a boatload of sailors?
Yep, dorfs were the Irish alright
superior aryan race
That's why they always have Scottish accents amirite?
But psychologically you know it isn't.
“I cordially dislike allegory in all its manifestations."
The dwarfs were actually Jews.
>superior to all races
Tolkien should have been writing mein kampf
Way to ruin it for me.
It changed in D&D and subsequently (or consequentially?) WoW though.
The most obvious Jew stand ins in fantasy setting are the gnomes or the goblins.
I thought the Hobbits were the Irish because they were hairy, fat, and lazy.
Can we not derail the thread with this shit?
The representation of Dwarves as evil changed dramatically with The Hobbit. Here the Dwarves became occasionally comedic and bumbling, but largely seen as honourable, serious-minded, but still portraying some negative characteristics such as being gold-hungry, overly proud and occasionally officious. Tolkien was now influenced by his own selective reading of medieval texts regarding the Jewish people and their history. The dwarves' characteristics of being dispossessed of their homeland (the Lonely Mountain, their ancestral home, is the goal the exiled Dwarves seek to reclaim), and living among other groups whilst retaining their own culture are all derived from the medieval image of Jews, whilst their warlike nature stems from accounts in the Hebrew Bible. Medieval views of Jews also saw them as having a propensity for making well-crafted and beautiful things, a trait shared with Norse dwarves. For The Hobbit almost all dwarf-names are taken from the Dvergatal or "Catalogue of the Dwarves", found in the Poetic Edda. However, more than just supplying names, the "Catalogue of the Dwarves" appears to have inspired Tolkien to supply meaning and context to the list of names—that they travelled together, and this in turn became the quest told of in The Hobbit. The Dwarves' written language is represented on maps and in illustrations by Anglo-Saxon Runes. The Dwarven calendar invented for The Hobbit reflects the Jewish calendar in beginning in late autumn. The dwarves taking Bilbo out of his complacent existence has been seen as an eloquent metaphor for the "impoverishment of Western society without Jews."
> mein kampf
Now that you brought it up,
I think i'll go read it while i wait for LN translations
not this, but something in the same vein
Tolkien absolutely hated Hitler.
This is getting off topic.
>Tolkien was fucking racist
Disney was antisemitic, what's new?
too late broseph
Will this end up like that Free! Goy thread?
Tolkien wasn't really racist though.
everyone is antisemitic
What about Jews?
Guys pls stop with this shitposting... this is about Log Horizon and not about fucking Tolkien
Lovecraft was racist and anti-semmitic and promoted violence to atheists.
he was a catholic, by the way.
They nailed their own god to a piece of wood, what do you think.
Allright guys, let's just knock off this /pol/ derailment and go back to discussing LH.
So who will get shiroe first?
Minori, Henrietta, Mirelle or Akatsuki?
You successfully derailed the thread.
>implying mirelle would want his scrawny dick
Locecraft was an atheist.
Fuck off with these Tolkien's bullshit. I think we are doing this shit because we don't have much to discuss.
Okay, if Rudy is an NPC and can't added into friendlist, then why he could added into party
So are Alvs jews in log horizon?
Akatsuki. The narration says they both care about one another at the end of vol 4, Akatsuki makes it obvious in vol 5 and Shiroe more or less reciprocates about how much he leans on her, Henrietta is stepping back for Akatsuki or Minori, Maryelle is set for Brotsugu, and Minori is fourteen years old while Shiroe doesn't go for lolis.
Also, you forgot Nureha.
cause having npcs in parties happens all the time in games?
>Shiroe doesn't go for lolis.
Look at pic and tell me thats not a loli.
Maybe there are quests that require you to have NPC party members. There would be no reason to have an NPC friend, though, unless you were nuts.
I would post the exhentai link but then fags would complain about sad panda, and it is not loli so it is on g.e-hentai anyway.
>Rudy has a brush that is used to brush pets and companions
>Doesnt know what its for, uses it on himself
mah nigga rudy, cant wait until he joins Log Horizon
Something is wrong here but i can't point accurately
Legal Loli. There's a difference.
Its like fucking Aoi Yuuki. You think its okay but everybody else loses their minds.
except Ayana Taketatsu, Sugita, Nakamura and KanaHana who already joked about her being the industry's well-established legal loli
>catering to fags who cant sad panda
>not catering to insanely lonely people
Do Elder Tale devs even know their target audience?
To be fair, I don't there has been any female VA that Sugita hasn't sexually harassed.
They are. Why do you think summoners can play dress-up with their summons?
i cant stop fapping.. fuccck.
>Shiroe doesn't go for lolis.
>Goes for the college girl with a loli body.
Oh it's by abgrund, I should've been able to tell
>Crusty will never give Raynesia the DDD.
>She will forever be imoutozoned
>Nyanta will never give Serara the barbed cat D
>She will forever be daughteruzoned
>Shiroe will never give Minori the gryphon ride
>She will forever be apprenticezoned
>Naotsugu will never give Tetra the castle of stone
>She will forever be brozoned
>Mamare will never be loved by Mamare imouto
>He will forever have mismatching shoes
"This survey has a huge value" or something like that
She has the mature mind I like with a body I love
>Mamare will never be loved by Mamare imouto
>He will forever have mismatching shoes
But will Akatsuki assassinate Shiroe's purity?
This is important
His sister hides one of his shoes, everytime she's mad at him.

>Is your sister real?
>She does exist. But she isn't as cute as everyone seems to think. When she gets angry, she goes and hides only one of my shoes.
She already has. While he sleeps, Sneak + Silent Movement. He thinks it's just a wet dream.
He mentioned this in one of his afterwords.
>As everyone predicted, Mamare has not informed his family about publishing a book. No, I didn't mean to keep it a secret, but when I confessed last month I was accused with the words 'Stop lying', and was treated like air, missing my chance to explain.
>My motive of eating out was to use this chance to explain under the pretext of eating Monjayaki, but Mamare(younger sister) threatened me immediately when she took a seat.
>Mamare(younger sister), why don't you believe your brother? I told her she can order whatever she wants, but the plan backfired, and she said: "Stupid brother, what are you scheming?" these cruel words.
Mamare Imouto is a terrible tsundere
>Allow me to withhold the contents of my works, it is definitely not something shameful... Mamare defends in a one sided manner.
>This came into light because my middle schooler nephew point this out directly during a family meeting. It was exposed through twitter, I leaked so much local info out there, no wonder I have been discovered. As an old boy of St Francis kindergarten, I want to teach him some lesson on keeping quiet. But he is also one of the readers that I am grateful to have, Mamare falls into a dilemma.
>The relatives interrogated the Mamare who is trapped this way.
>"What type of books are you writing?"
>"Can it be brought in bookshops?"
>"You didn't get conned right?"
>"Should we distribute some to our neighbors?"
>"Buy me ice cream."
>They actually tortured a NEET this way.
South East Asia:
Which of you indofags did the submission?
I seriously hope she ends up with Shiroe though.
>So much Malay related class
>I didn't do anything wrong, why do I need to listen to my relatives teaching so obediently? >Because I have kept it a secret until now. But I didn't mean to hide it from them... it, it is because no one ask so I didn't say, please don't take this the wrong way! Mamare acted like a Tsundere for no reason, falling into chaos.
>Mamare(younger sister) surprised me.
>Mamare(younger sister) said in a straight face "I already knew."
>Why sister? Since you know you should have told me right?
>According to her, she discovered when a book sample was delivered here, I thought she didn't notice.
>As for Mamare(younger sister)...
>Thank you for your supportive review 'It's about a virgin main character flirting with big breast girls'. Thanks to you, the relative interrogation session became a public execution. This fantasy process is like the king of home renovation, the expert renovation moved Mamare to tears.
>I am unable to forget uncle's words, "Could it be that you still are..." Did he think Mamare is a magician? Be careful or you will make me cry.
>Mamare(younger sister) unexpected attack left me on the brink of death.
>That's why we bicker on the way home after the family meeting is over.
what a deranged mind
>Number of submissions: 1834
>Number of countries for submissions: 53
That's a shitload more than I expected
>"Stupid brother is stupid", "Your taste in shoes is horrible", "hikkikomori", "Change the fridge at home" etc, she didn't show any mercy.
>Mamare(Younger sister) was such a cute kid, shouting "Brother! Brother! This is delicious!" as she ate the whole bag of red ginger (mass produced package from a snack store in Okachimachi 2nd street); Not long ago she thought Childish means unpopular and lonely; even though she sings Doramon's song in the toilet.
>Since she knew, I ask her casually if she wants a copy of Log Horizon. She gives me a condescending look and says: "No need, I already brought one." Hence, I forgave her.
>But this sister is so infuriating.
Pretty sure that "classroom time" was deliberately skipped to make them figure this stuff out on their own. You don't want students acting as if they are from a modern classroom where they can regurgitate perfectly but apply nothing.
>Even listed as a subclass in Jap server
>Did he think Mamare is a magician?
Wizard. The correct translation here was supposed to be wizard.
This shit legit or are you guys messing with me?
If it's true then it's fucking hilarious
read the LN's afterwords.
Mamare thinks Scandinavia will go on raids to other servers with viking-only parties, because they love them so much.
>"I am happy with staying this way."
>Akatsuki's mouth is trembling in a weird shape as her white and slender fingertips touches Shiroe's forehead.
>"You are happy with staying like this?"
>(Is this part of Akatsuki's ninja-lord role play... I think I'm misunderstanding something. Wrong, I wouldn't know since I don't watch period dramas.)
>"Is that so."
>A gust of wind shakes the branches in the night with a sound akin to the rides.
Hasn't the Europe server turned into Arthurian myth, knights and castles and princesses and shit like that?
Breakdown of votes by server:
North America: 401
South and Central America: 255
SEA : 494
Middle East: 42
West Europe: 209
All these Indons, Malays, Singaporeans and Flips making the votes.
To be specific, it seems people put Viking as substitute for almost every class (Assassin, Bard, Guardian and Monk). A very Viking-loving server indeed.
Does anyone have the screencap of Mamane posting on /a/, preferably with translation?
scums of the world truly, why haven't they been killed off by hurricanes and typhoons yet?
Ko ni tak gi sekolah ke?
You forgot to include the part about Minori suffering.
That was the most delicious part.
You can count flips out anon
I don't even fucking know any of the three classes presented under SEA server
>There was a post 68 just this Dukun
because that's almost like a monthly thing and what doesn't kill us makes us plenty stronger.
No really, I've seen 80 year olds wade through a flood during a storm.
>Her knees seems to be disappearing like bubbles, as she endures these feelings on her way to the kitchen. She is holding dandelion barley tea on a tray in her hands. She wanted to bring it to the balcony for Shiroe, but she is now walking subconsciously.
>She cannot stay there. She cannot look at that scene.
>Thousand of noises seem to be sounding out in her head, everything seems so confusing to her. She seems to be driven by her ethics and has used up all her strength just leaving the scene.
>The first was the sense of impact, the next is crushing confusion... Even though there are no concrete problems, her heart is full of questions. >She wants to ask, but doesn't know who or what to ask.
>Her confused emotions and her desire to seek help fills her chest. It moves slowly to her abdomen evolving into a heavy and uncomfortable feeling.
>Minori returns to the kitchen subconsciously, places the tray on the table and sits down on a chair. She doesn't understand why she is so upset.
>But she saw something between Shiroe and Akatsuki just now on the balcony of the 3rd floor. She can see the special feelings Akatsuki has for Shiroe on her face.
>It is not visible from her actions but it is obvious. When Minori noticed the love her senpai bears, it felt like she touched an open flame accidentally and shrinks back from the shock.
>This shock made her run away to this refuge.
The best representation of Europe, South America and Egypt as RPGs are how Hexen II shows them.
I'd like if they were similar, the feeling was grteat.
Alright LN anons.
Who had to most delicious suffering?
Akatsuki, Minori, or Nureha?
>(I thought Mr Shiroe was always going to be by my side... and be my teacher forever.)
>This thinking is too arrogant.
>The superficial nature of her ugliness made Minori feel as if her organs are full of mud. Like coal burning her from inside her skin, this agony made Minori feels like rolling on the floor. But crying and screaming will not ease the pain.
>It is painful and annoying.
>Minori was holding this feeling all this time, she felt dizzy just thinking about it.
>Especially thinking of Shiroe as her own belonging, she wants to kill that part of herself for thinking of something like this. Most importantly is her failure to notice and discard these feelings, Minori is disappointed at her arrogant subconscious self.
Minori rebounded pretty fast from hers but Akatsuki really keeled over from the fact she was pretty useless to Shiroe out-of-combat.
Why the fuck no Redneck?
>Although she didn't comprehend the meaning, she knew that Shiroe had successfully defended Akiba.
>But she didn't think about it the way Minori did.
>Akatsuki didn't consider how everyone else would think about Shiroe like Minori.
>She also didn't think about how Log Horizon's position would be affected by all this.
>... She didn't help Shiroe from his trouble like Minori did.
>Akatsuki's heart started to race behind her modest chest.
>The Shiroe that felt so close last night was gradually growing further away from her? This gave her a pure sense of terror.
>Just like the fear of a child abandoned in the darkness, she moaned soundlessly in her chest.
>Shiroe was going so far away.
>No, he was far away from the beginning.
>Him being by Akatsuki's side was just an illusion.
Why do you only poll female characters? Instead of making a "huurrr waifu" poll just straight up make a "favourite character" poll and includ everyone.
Suck a dick
>Him being by Akatsuki's side was just an illusion.
Did I hear 'Illusion'? cause I definitely heard somebody say 'Illusion'.
For submitting many good class and ideas from many areas al over the world, thank you very much. There are also various suggestion which couldnt be introduced this time. Because I am only thinking of substituting 2~3 classes out of the 12 classes per server/region, somewhat many of the submissions won't be used. On the other hand, if thee are ideas which can be used for sub classes, I will take them.
In the main publication, there are many locations in the world whose status couldn't be handled but the Calamity/Catastrophe does occur no matter the region.
If by everyone's setting (as in world setting), the world of Theldesia can have an abundant setting then I will be happy.
The contribution period this time is planned to last until 10 February. I am also looking forward to the remaining half of the submission period.
She clams up really fast after >>100102590
>After the banquet ended, Akatsuki resumed wearing her black clothes. On this 3rd day, she wore her usual expression that was so dignified that it looked sullen, protecting Shiroe without a word. Shiroe thought there was no need to be dressed so uptight for the festival, but Akatsuki was stubborn in her own ways.
>Akatsuki who looked a bit tired in the morning, regained her lively mood in the afternoon after being teased by Naotsugu. Akatsuki calling Naotsugu stupid and kneeing him in the face was becoming a common scene which Shiroe could only watch with a bitter smile.
I don't think Vol 6 is translated yet, so I don't know if she had any further reactions in that. In the interlude Shiroe had Nureha the fox-furry crawling all over him offering sex, though. He turned it down.
I can't wait for later volumes when Akatsuki wins the Shiroebowl
The tears will be delicious
So why Isuzu couldn't add Rudy to her friend list?
You know what bothers me? I have no idea what you are talking about, but in the MMOs I've played Undead haven't been immune to taunts.
It goes on a bit more:
>The skills she relied upon so far, which she claimed could protect Shiroe, were not at top notch level. Confirming this once again shattered Akatsuki's pride completely.
>But that's not all. Major raids are a high difficulty playing mode and there are plenty of Adventurers who didn't have experience with this.
>But a low level Kannagi reached Shiroe's side in a way Akatsuki never thought of. Akatsuki who prided herself in her battle techniques and lived all this time in the alternate world believing in this, was doubly hurt by this.
>"...The things you did are more worthwhile than 10 staff helping on site. You did great Minori."
>Shiroe's voice echoed in Akatsuki's ears.
>Not only did this girl Minori see through Shiroe's thinking, she also fought hard in her own battles to lessen Shiroe's burden. She was less than half Akatsuki's level, but this middle school girl used her talents to the fullest and reached a higher plane of achievement than Akatsuki. And Minori was concerned with Shiroe all this time too.
>She tried to empathize with Shiroe.
>Empathize with the loneliness of Shiroe which she never thought existed before.
>This fact overwhelmed Akatsuki. The acceptance of this fact stabbed Akatsuki's heart like shattered glass, taking away the words Akatsuki wanted to tell Shiroe.
So much delicious suffering. This is why you shouldn't eavesdrop on people.
cause she's a slut and her friend list is full
He's a Lander. An NPC.
What is the gaming world coming to?
>all this suffering
You can have 1000 people on your friends list. The closest person to the cap is Charasin, who has 980.
well now we know who's the bigger slut
Just imagine 12 year old girls doing the twerk emote.
Truly nothing is sacred anymore.
Jesus fuck these girls need to just goddamn fess up. Shiroe's a basement dwelling otaku neckbeard. They're gonna have to be pretty fucking blunt about this shit.

Description (?): At Australia, the hunter fights using a special style according to an unique culture. While he doesnt use bow, he can be an expert at throwing (spears) or increase his power from unique ceremonies.
Comment: A class fighting using lance/javelin is indeed stylish and cool-looking isnt it? I wonder if it is suitable as substitution for the Assassin class? While the numbers arent many, having the above named class as hunter+priest caught my attention.
No he's just a basement dwelling otaku trap, who wants the dick from brotsugu
>girls doing the twerk emote.
That's not twerking bro.
They're tea-bagging your corpse with their beef curtains.
I like this episode, but I do have some opinion about dungeon part.
In novel, Mamare clearly depict that Touya pulled mobs down into a room and then with his back against the wall. This is a pretty important detail as now they fight in first person view point and showing rear/back to enemy will just get pawned. But clearly anime producer did not aware of this important factor and showing us the scene which Touya is all around surrounded.
>just played MMOs to chat with random people
>Ends up becoming a broker for miscellaneous items between players
>creates a chatting guild which slowly became a merchant guild
>suddenly Shiroe finds your friend list useful for a task he sees important
>drops you in an office becoming information hub
>juggle between merchant role and information gathering
What do flips have to offer that isn't covered by Malays and Indos?
The country doesn't have it's own identity. The Moros? The Indos have those, so do the Spaniards, The Aetas? Nope. The closest ones worth adding are the Datu, the heads that involved Lapu-Lapu, but face it, the word and the position itself was based on a Malay word and position, same goes for the Rajah and the Sultan, all derived from Islamic empires.
You mean Kanami.
>(If women are involved, all preparations and tactics are unreliable.)
>It was the same during his time in the Debauchery Tea Party. For instance with Nazuna or Ai, any incident related to female adventurers don't end well no matter how much homework or planning you did in advance.
>But if it doesn't cause too much commotion, the problem will resolve itself like nothing ever happened. This is an incomprehensible and unavoidable result from a tactician's view.
>(But 'she' is different.)
>'She' is the founder of the Debauchery Tea Party, sort of like the guild master. Because the Debauchery Tea Party is a gathering of free players and takes care of themselves, it is not a guild and 'she' is not an official guild master.
>As Nyanta said 'Everyone knows what to do to build a comfortable home', so in a sense there is no need for a guild master.
>She is the unofficial leader because she is the most willful person in the Debauchery Tea Party. In a sense, the Debauchery Tea Party is dragged all over the place by her.
>(This lady can say something stunning with a straight face such as wanting to see the midnight sun in iceland...)
>'Her' willfulness is at the international level, causing Shiroe's battle record to worsen. The result doesn't flatten out or end up with nothing conclusive, they usually end up dead or on the edge of death. She once led a volunteer group on an overseas server expedition, but lost a key item preventing them from entering the Aurora zone, a really exhausting experience. This was the start of Shiroe's life of hardships.
I liked when Krusty was chatting with Isaac, and they both agree that the reason they dump so much work on Shiroe is so when they need him to strategise something, they can take the work away. And then put it right back again to keep him busy.
Fucking Krusty, man.
>They're tea-bagging your corpse with their beef curtains.
That's actually pretty fucking disgusting.
"Hey guys, I think we should go see what the overseas server looks like. Come on, let's go!"
"I don't know, Kanami, it could be-"
"GET ON THE FUCKING GRIFFON, SHIROE."
Yeah, I admit our history sucks.
Whatever past we may have had was burned by the Spaniards, and whatever legacy we had with the Spaniards, painted us as slaves.
At least we developed some of our own Martial arts.
Arnis de Mayo is a philippine two handed weapon style = swashbuckler
Kali is an open-handed martial art which focused on grabs, disarms and pins = monk
More like noone wins the shiroebowl
Kanami doesn't have a gryphon anymore. Her EU character is a new one, not her old DTP character.
why does a hikki need shoes?
I read that and all I could think of were these two pic related
>you lose a bit of memory and reincarnate
>whereas in the real world you'd die for good
Honestly, it's a fair trade-off. How do I transfer into Elder Tale?
Mamare Imouto keeps hiding them.
I just hope I live long enough to experience VR mmos
I want to be a foxgirl slut
So? He's a dangerously aware player, so of course they need to make some way of reining him in.
So, now the monsters have attacked in full force will we have a war story now?
With the speed of how technology develops assuming nothing fucks up, in around 20-30 years
Shiroe gets dragged around a lot in Vol 5 by girls. He's talked into a cake contest by Akatsuki and Minori (and as a result everybody in the city starts thinking he's a pedo because the competition was supposed to be for couples and he didn't realise when he brought two guildmates), talked into modeling for Henrietta, and talked into saving Akihabara by a few others. And nearly dragged off to join Nureha.
At least he got revenge on the cake contest. He had to pay for twelve cakes because he failed, so he told Sojirou to bring his harem-guild and try it out. They ate the restaurant out of cake.
>The imposing man they had seen at the conference that led to the formation of the Round Table Council was Shiroe's true form. Isaac was exhilarated at this thought; he laughed out loud while facing the big man standing next to him.
>"So that’s why the demonic blade is currently groaning under the pile of work we buried him in. In that case, when will you unsheathe it again? Since that fellow has his uses. Well then…… I think I’ll go around and take a look at the festival. Hey Krusty, join me will you!"
>After Isaac gave an earful to a reporting subordinate, he invited Krusty to come along. They left together in the direction of their city, filled with both Adventurers and People of the Land.
DL Novasphere day one. Bamf.
Sooo, if you land finishing blow on some high-level monster, do you for example get psychic dreams of being a dragon something?
And the exp-memory theory seems hazy, consider you just started and had 0 exp in the apocalypse, you'd still know everything from earth, but you wouldn't be able to lose anything.
Krusty mentions that he's actually lost a couple of memories, because he's died twice since the Apocalypse happened. He can't remember his favourite pet cat, it's name, or really anything about it except that he had a pet cat.
>SOS playing ET
>high level fucker leading the biggest guild on server
>died twice in new expansion
scrubiest of scrubs
Nah, he took his entire guild out to a big battlefield where they tested out and trained how to use their skills. As part of that, several of them died a couple of times.
And there were also those times when everybody was gunning to reach level 91 before politics happened.
>while everyone was moping during the apocalypse, Crusty proceeded to give no fucks and try out the new raid content, with or without his guildies.
dude is pretty boss
Soloing high level raids is part of his daily routine.
He's allowed to fuck up once or twice.
That's what a scrub would say
I'm proud of how far Minori has come
You've misunderstood the exp loss and memory loss. And people made fun of Akatsuki for not understanding.
When you die, you are divided into two components, body and mind.
Experience points are your body. When you die, you lose experience points; your body decreases in function as some information is lost as it is sent to the Cathedral.
Your mind is a little different. Pre-apocalypse, the player's mind was not in the game. It was in the real world, so dying meant nothing in terms of the player's mind - it couldn't lose any information during reconstruction. However now that their mind and body are one the mind also has to be reconstructed when they die which is why memory loss happens now.
So if you died at level 1 with 0 exp in the Apocalypse, your body would not deteriorate as it has no exp to lose, but your mind is full of "experience" from real life, some of which would still be lost.
>It all comes to me.
>the name of my Cat is...
>managed to clear a dungeon that was made for their average level
What an outstanding achievement.
>allowed to fuck up once or twice.
Generally what high leveled scrubs (who probably leeached and bought their way to cap) would say
better than wasting away in a sweatshop
The real achievement was getting the party work as a whole.
Any private servers you can recommend?
she wouldn't waste away in my sweatshop
The animu made the loss of exp and loss of memories seem wholly connected since Shiroe implied the loss of memories from loss of exp (since they both represent the deterioration of mental part). Now that I think about it, it doesn't have to be so internally dependant though. Thanks for clearing that up.
Just wait, we're pretty sure Minori is going to become Shiroe 2.0
that owner must be one big asshole if his dog is afraid to death of him
>implying your fat neckbeard ass could go through a dungeon first-hand
>everything comes from malaysia
the author needs to be selamat pagi'd hard
To be honest, a total modern city-life noob getting out of scrub horizon in a fantasy world is an outstanding achievement.
This is not a game, this is another world but adventurers are able to use game-like UI to interact with it, people of land look human now because previous barriers between adventurers and land people was lost during last world fraction, there`s no such thing as NPC.
>thinking patrol watch is a useless job
You can't spin your camera around in this "game" anymore anon. Getting rolled by skeleton adds because you can't afford to take your eyes off the ones actively trying to murder you is pretty serious shit.
>can't handle a bunch or two of skellys
>need to put one member on patrol watch instead of contributing to buff, healing or dps
>confirmed for never having been a progression raider
uh oh, the scrubs are out tonight
Uh, what are you talking about here? The only usage of "game" is used to refer to when Elder Tale was a game. Why are you even bringing in NPCs that weren't mentioned at all?
Go back to your elitist dead mmo forums wherever you came from
get out casual
>he thinks raiding comes from wow
Really embarrassing yourself here, newfag.
>WoW is the only mmo ever that has ever done raiding
>in fact, WoW invented MMOs
Best summon? Best Summon
Hobbits are the English, and Jews are based on the Jews, hence why in the hobbit they don't have a homeland, they like gold, and their language is a Semitic one
Are you dumb? They were fighting in person. They can't just spot while fighting. There characters will not be fighting while they turn the view around.
I was expecting her to at least cast a spell or something, though.
>All this MMO elsitism
All I've ever played was private server burning crusade. What now faggots.
>only played WoW
>bitching about other people's MMO experiences
>Only played WoW
on top of that
Can your summon cast magnificat when you're in danger?
No? then you have a shit summon
Yeah, Minori should really apply one of the Kannagi overskills - creating barriers where you want. All she has to do is put barriers in the corridors and if the enemy bumps into them and destroys them she'll be able to see that they are coming. Like an early warning system.
I respect your class mate.
Its all fun and games when y'all chat about EQ like it was old times but when people start having fights over which one is the scrub in the context of random MMO [x] you've gotta admit that things aren't quite right.
I bet we'll have a solid 4-5 years of pretending to be slutty little girls before the robots kill us in the shitty version of the singularity.
Gun b gud.
If they are close enough to bump into them, they are already too close to the party. The barrier might also 'aggro', since its possible that mob sight range has increased to match 'real world expectations'.
>enemy bumps into them
Yeah real smart move
>Be Summoner / Tailor
>gain infinite silk
>craft rare spider silk gear
Is this dwarf fortress spider silk factory?
I think we should support it when anime portrays achieving competence as requiring hard work and cooperation. The typical arc is the 15 year old climbing into a robot and being the Very Best There Ever Was All By Himself.
That is a shitty ass contract if the Arachne agrees to enslavement without any pay or job benefits
>not spider silk panties
>Shiroe's alt is alive
>his mind was copied into it
I can't wait to see how he'll DECEIVE HIMSELF in S2.
>Cast Animate Dead
>Contract Alv skeletons
pay her with the D
Guys Log Horizon has broken me, I give up on waiting on a MAYBE decent release a few months down the road like I always do.
I think i'm going back to WoW, because even if it sucks, everything else sucks worse.
Even if the social aspect is all but dead, which was the best part about WoW, maybe I can find a fun raiding guild to be social with? Gone are the days of making friends in PuG dungeons
Someone please suggest something else, save me.
Is this canon?
This would be awesome
>Start an L2 game with other people on /a/
>wear spider silk gear
>go into the dungeon
>slipped and fell down
>it's sticky, you can't get up
Yes but mostly No. Shiroe does have a female alt and Mamare has hinted she will appear in the story in some context, but there's no details yet.
By using the <Overlay> skill and becoming literally his perfect girl.
There aren't any MMOs out there where it was worth sitting down, having a random chat, and end up making a new friend to go on adventures with.
You want a generic anime online game that has a lot of people that's in 4chan?
>Shiroe does have a female alt
It would be piloted by Shiroe Imouto and act like an ass towards Shiroe by hiding his staff
There were, back in The Day. Not anymore. The internet has become too stupid to support such happenings.
If there were nowadays, I'd be playing that shit right now.
Same account, unfortunately. I don't know what kind of wack MMO lets people log into alts simultaneously.
>hiding his staff
Where? On his pants?
I mean IN his pants. Fuck.
*in recent years
You f'd up.
For one thing, modern MMO game design involves always making sure characters can be doing something exciting.
Old MMOs had a habit of sometimes saying, "Okay, sit your ass down here and tuck in, there's nothing to do for the time being."
Which of course lends itself to socializing.
This looks awful.
I might give it a shot
That's the most depressing part, i'd try EVE but dat entry barrier and it's really more of a cutthroat corporation simulator than a place to make friends and hang with bros.
Wasn't that the point of MMOs to begin with?
Sit down, socialize, make friends, go on adventures, and take down bosses.
If you've been following recent MMO's, that has kinda changed.
I really, really miss Asheron's call. It had a huge, contiguous map with no "zones" or carefully constructed shooting-gallery style valleys to stick you in, so you could just explore and roam across the entire continent, which was littered with little dungeons each with their own stories and bits of lore. It was too much fun being in the middle of absolutely nowhere and actually coming across another player and adventuring with him into some random dungeon to find its secrets.
Today it's about getting to level cap as fast as possible, get the best gear as fast as possible, and ignore the rest of the game.
nope, i'd rather develop my character from novice to Rune Knight
Old mmos were like the country life, new mmos are like city life.
AC was one of the few MMOs where I enjoyed trekking across the globe with the moon hanging overhead. It felt like there was always somewhere to go and something to see.
>It would be piloted by Shiroe Imouto and act like an ass towards Shiroe by hiding his staff
Or even worse, his glasses.
Is it still alive?
AC2 relaunched into beta last year and I played it for a good couple of months before the population declined critically.
It's a failed game of its era, for good reasons too, but fuck if it's not better than 95% of what's been released in the last decade. No phasing bullshit, no instancing, just meet up with people, kill things and have fun, decent lore, higher resolution textures than TOR. And the sad thing is the combat, the content design, the character building, the itemization - it's more complex than what's on the horizon with TESO.
Fuck, this genre is a disgrace.
MMOs are technically flawed if only because they will always require servers to run. You just can't get away with commercially selling a small MMO. It has to make money, and even the worst ones out there make money through p2w and catering to the LCD population.
TESO and TOR are just trash churned out for money, not real MMOs. Like CoD and BF.
The only potentially good MMO on the horizon is Camelot Unchained and even that one has a very high chance of going belly up.
>minori suffering in the shiroeb owl
my heart cant take this, fuck off loli ninja
Minori should win the Shiroe
How does he die?
And does he get succesfully resurrected?
yes but he returns as a dog
Indeed, but she needs to age a few years first
If it were Earth I'd agree with you.
But it's medieval funland. Not only are 14 year olds perfectly marriageable in a medieval setting, Shiroe is literally in charge of making laws. I doubt age of consent is high on the list in a world where monsters are constantly wrecking your shit.
If Shiroe bought the entire guild hall why did the Hamelin newbs need to fight their way out?
because the road to the corridor door was still the guild part?
Why didn't they just kill themselves since Cathedral?
It might be perfectly fine in a fantasy land to marry 14 year olds but shes 14 man, at least wait til l16 to make some sort of move. Also Shiroe is smart, i dont think he would go out with someone who is 14 both mentally and physically
lewt and exp loss
I believe killing yourself still hurts.
>Minorifags pretending she has a chance
I like Minori even since I saw her and his brother on the first episode, but that doesn't mean she has to win Shiroe. That's just not right and they're not meant to be.
Best girl doesn't have to always win the MC, you fags.
yeah its pretty clear Minori will incest her cripple brother
Some of them did kill themselves to respawn in the Cathedral. Others used Call of Home to land outside the city gate.
Then they couldn't get back into the guild hall. So they had to leave and go to a city where they could get access to a guildhall that wasn't blacklisted.
You are a terrible human being.
i swear im gonna rek him
It's closer there than western Yurop, so it's reasonable-looking.
Sadly, (since I'm a polefag myself) but our capital made it up for me.
Poles, Balts, what's the difference? They are all tiny, insignificant countries.
No, anon, you'll only make them stronger and dumber
Why the fuck does he sacrifice himself for others when they will revive and he will not?
Well, dual-blade techniques and a shotgun that is the size of your finger
Not to mention age of consent in Japan is 13.
>Elder Tales is just all data before the game was terminated
>Everything happening is just ghost data inside
>Server is still operating with memories
>yfw the real Shiroe and others has nothing to do with the game
Minori Kicked the goblin in un-ladylike manner
Tohya looked at the crazy actions of his sister and began to emulate her to fend off the hobgoblin and wolves
So who wants to see this /a/?
Star Ocean pls go
WHAT THE FUCK
freckles-chan is too cute
Hussar as in light cavalry wearing pelisses or heavy cavalry wearing wings?
winged heavy cavalry would be called Winged Hussars
Mamare needs to be careful... crowdsourcing and user-generated content is a dangerous cesspool one can sink into and never return.
Calm yo tits. He says Hussars are Hungarian. But they're on the Russion server, that's why it's listed there.
But Russia had hussars too. Google it.
What a fucking slut
Almost everyone in Europe, Australia or the Americas had hussars.
>Since you needed to eat, you would also need to use the bathroom which was also a necessary action which was confirmed rather quickly. Since they were guys, Shiroe and Naotsugu had no problem if they were fine with doing it outdoors.
>But they did wish there was toilet paper.
Akatsuki is winning the Poll again!
He wasnt. That was just the standard attitude of his day.
Next thing you'll tell me is that Conrad and Lovecraft were racist aswell.
When, long ago, the gods created Earth
In Jove's fair image Man was shaped at birth.
The beasts for lesser parts were next designed;
Yet were they too remote from humankind.
To fill the gap, and join the rest to Man,
Th'Olympian host conceiv'd a clever plan.
A beast they wrought, in semi-human figure,
Filled it with vice, and called the thing a Nigger.
William leaves Akiba because he felt like an asshole for leaving during the forming of the round table council, and his guild, being loyal as fuck, follows him. They go to Susukino and kick the shit out of Brigandia, subjugating the guild to prevent them from being dicks anymore, and generally improving life in Susukino, though not as far as Akiba. One of the Lander slaves Demikas had turns out to be a Lander noblewoman, and one thing leads to another and Demikas marries her and turns over a new leaf, though mostly because he becomes whipped.
Seems about right.
Confirmed for not having read the Silmarillion.
The elves were fucking jew niggers, just look at Feanor.
Nope, marmalade-sensei has already told us that relationships and romance will happen. He is just taking his time to build them up.
The dead certs so far are Shirou/Akatsuki and Naotsugu/Marielle. Naotsugu even had a double saddle for his gryphon crafted so Marielle could ride it more confortably with him.
So who does minori get? and giraffe-chan
Minori x hand
Minori gets the peep hole she made into Shiroe's room to watch Shiroe and Akatsuki having intense, heavy sex and where she can picture herself in Akatsuki's position.
Oh you guys, stahp it
>Previous Thread: >>100048812 (Dead)
>[Dead] Log Horizon
Not going to lie, that is hot as fuck.
There are other ships that are strong going around aswell
When will crusty tell everyone that he's a polar bear in real life?
So what MMOs do you guys play?
Former PSO2bro here.
im still playing wow
that being said, when is this tree MMO or whatever coming out? The sucessor to ragnarok or something
Log Horizon will have 12 members by the end, one of every class. We're only up to what, eight?
World of Tanks
Nine now, with Tetra joining them.
Still lacking a Monk, Druid and Summoner
No one becasue I'm not a korean or a fatass neckbeard.
I used to play Vindicus because of the great combat and MH-esque stuff. Now I'm playing FF14 but I long for a sandbox MMO that has a good population, Black Desert might be it but I don't want to get hype.
Used to play Dofus as an Eni, which was a buff/debuff/healer class with a damage spell that didn't suck and loads of utility.
I played a little WoW as a Prot Warrior but I never really got into that game.
Right now, I sometimes play Planetside2 but that's an MMOFPS and kinda shit.
