I bought this figurine two years ago at AnimeNext and I've been trying to find some info on it and I can't find anything. Does anyone have any info on this figurine.
Probably a chinese bootleg
It is Marmit and has a NAS seal on it. I'm pretty sure it's real.
It's made by Marmit. They make lots of vinyl figures of kaiju and whatnot. They also make dolls like this one. Fairly cheap on the Japanese market, but you can see it go for $60-$90 on feebay and such.

That's all I've got.
/toy/ is probably the place to ask. We got buyfag threads on here but this isn't really the kind of discussion they do.
That's nice to hear. I picked it up for $40.
Oh alright. I've posted in /toy/ before and they usually send me here so I tried /a/ first this time.
I think Arino once won a similar figure at a beer-throwing arcade game.
you'll fit in someday.
I'm not sure what you want to know exactly. Marmit has made several Rei dolls. The ones people want are usually the more articulated ones or the 'final episode' version which is her smiling in a school uniform. I know that last version was made in mid 1997 so probably from around that time or a bit earlier. They aren't rare and since, unlike some of the other Marmit dolls, there are a ton of newer, fancier figures for and dolls for Rei so they aren't in very high demand either.

If you like it, $40 certainly isn't a bad price. Enjoy it.
