Kiss your free anime goodbye if TPP gets passed.
>jew mod deletes the last thread
Excuse me for being a faggot and not reading, but how does this make it any different than pirate movies/games/whatever.
>55 year minimum
Well, I guess there's no more denying how serious this is.
Japan joins the cluster fuck with the US over torrenting. In other words, you get the message in the mail and/or legal charges pressed on you because you just downloaded the new episode of kill la kill
Perhaps I haven't read it carefully enough, but all I see is Hollywood. Wouldn't this be more of a bad news for /tv/ instead? Why should we care?
>avg jail time for rape 35 months
shit I guess I'll just take up a new hobby like rape rather than downloading anime
Can't wait for more reasons to kill myself in 2014.
As a Canadian I've never seen this message after downloading countless movies.
I guess Canada is more lax, I should probably brush up on the topic.
Well… I guess there's always streaming.
>no different than downloading
unless you pay for the streaming service that is...
>Jew just took over CR not too long ago.
>This get's passed
>We start taking hits for downloading anime.
>japan pursuing americans downloading anime
Are you retarded?
It mainly depends on ISP, and what movies you download.
If you download really fucking new movies it's much more likely you'll get a letter than if you download something from 1990.
>still replying to TPP threads
Even if Japan joins the TPP, no one's going to give a fuck about you downloading anime. Hell, if you torrent Game of Thrones or some shit from TPB you're probably not getting a letter.
>what is Hulu
>what is Chinese streaming sites
There is no way the U.S. congress will pass this. This goes directly against the U.S. Constitution.
>Congress has authority over U.S. trade policy per the Constitution.
If this passed the White House and the U.S. Trade Representative would handle U.S. trade policies.
Amurica is all about the Constitution
Yeah, this isn't going to do shit to stop free animu
all the countries who sign this would still have to pass laws to enforce it and those laws would never pass
Does this mean I should download my chinese cartoons while I still can?
I thought everyone and their parents in affected countries already knew of this.
Does anyone know the name of that website that tells you what your ISP knows you torrented?
I remember mine only had a few episodes of Teekyuu for whatever reason. Gave me a chuckle.
It's okay Murricafags, Obama doesn't care about anime being illegally downloaded and shit.
It's the first step to people giving a shit about you pirating anime.
But yeah, I really doubt this is going to pass and this is more /g/ territory anyway.
>Amurica is all about the Constituion
>Hell, if you torrent Game of Thrones or some shit from TPB you're probably not getting a letter.
actually you can, that's happened to me more than once.
/pol/ plz go
It's apparently barred from public poll so what can any of us possibly do?
What is the point of this thread?
Are you going to make a petition regardless?
Do something other than pointless shit
For some reason it says I've been downloading KlK.
>torrenting Game of Thrones
What I'm more concerned about are manga. Will scanlation groups' raw providers get hit? Will the groups themselves get sued?
>[Commie] Free! - 05 [40CD70C4].mkv
Now Obama knows I'm gay.
Oh, I have other reasons to be worried about the TPP, but pirating anime isn't one of them.
wait. what the fuck does it mean if it has things listed?
Japan doesn't care about shit like that
The joke is that anyone believes copyright laws can be enforced in the modern age.
The US can't even successfully enforce it's own copyright laws. What makes you think anyone is going to give a dong about Japan's?
The bottom line is and always will be too many people pirate. The stricter the laws get the harder they'll be to enforce. They're only ever trying to scare you, as long as everyone keeps doing it sanctions will never work.
I'm at college and I'm sharing my IP with at least a hundred other people. It's hilarious looking at what other people have been downloading, a bunch of them not even anime, and some anime that I've never downloaded myself.
prepare your anus. Bring your own lube.
>mfw it says it doesn't have information of my IP
>some anime i've never seen
To those who don't understand, TPP and the extensions on copyright to Life+90 are comic-book-level dastardly schemes to consolidate wealth in the hands of those who already have it, by allowing them to profit on already existing properties indefinitely instead of creating original content.
As much as that sounds like cooked up liberal shit, it's 100% true. Hollywood is lazy, and in a profit bubble due to blockbusteritis, all because they refused to innovate with technology and have now fallen behind even the casual consumer technologically.
Nothing will change. As with every other thing like this that passes. Unless your downloading normalfag stuff, you won't get nailed for chinese cartoons. The funding to even search torrent traffic is nil.
And if worst comes to worst, XDCC.
I will be the edgy libturd who says >>>/pol/ becuase if you disagree with big gub'mint making anime piracy illegal, then you must be a redneck.
It only has one thing for me and that's the Index movie. This seems pretty damn useless.
>WE DO NOT HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR IP
I think maybe this is not the most accurate simulation of government overwatch ever.
Also, this is like the 4th one of this thread. Why are pol stormtroopers not satisified with sticking to their own board? Isn't that what they want minorities to do with their countries?
>Everything is black and red
>Grim looking text
>POWERFUL TRADE AGREEMENT
>PUSHING SOPA AND ACTA-LIKE POLICIES ONTO THE REST OF THE WORLD
>FREE SPEECH, INNOVATION, PRIVACY & DIGITAL RIGHTS
>THE PUBLIC IS LOCKED OUT OF THE NEGOTIATIONS.
I bet OP doesn't even watch anime, he just wants more supporters. Everything about this screams sensationalist.
Bump this needs to be known. Damn rich dirty assholes.
>Canada, Mexico and Japan are not part of it
Half of the anime titles I never downloaded, the other half I didn't download on those dates.
I have no idea who I'm even sharing this connection with.
Where are you faggots, let's grab a coffee sometime.
Post this shit on boards where it might be relevant.
This won't affect anime or manga in the slightest.
I wouldn't post shit about this on an unrelated board like OP did, but I'd still want everyone to know.
You likely have a dynamic IP and that's why its throwing up false positives.
Oh god they know /a/ they know
>[uyA] Rozen Maiden - 01.mkv
Out of the several dozen shit they have listed, I've only downloaded maybe one or two of them.
>Scan Eye just monitors stuff and does not disclose any info to third parties
>in the process of joining it
Also where I live isn't a part of TPP. Suck it.
I don't like fucking living here.
How's Canada? I heard they're faggots about loli, but they get gloriously long winters.
It's a university IP, no shit.
it doesn't pick up on zero raws/leopard raws. why?
Japan gives no fucks about what people overseas do with their content. why? because we were never seen as a possible profit source! never was never will be. We make up about 1% (don't quote me on that, just know the percentage is low) of profit gained from about anything anime related.
The ones who will care are the translation studios like funimation. They will do like they've always done: Cry to your ISP and ask them to send you letters. The ISP will comply and send you a letter, because they don't want to deal with the legal bullshit, but your ISP honestly gives no fucks, because they are not about to lose customers (money) over a shitty download. After the first letter you will likely never be contacted or bothered by your ISP on the subject ever again.
>So what to do?
Continue downloading as you have always done.
Sad attempt to rally /a/ into joining THE CAUSE. The worst thing this will do is drive piracy deeper under the web. Anyone who has been here long enough can figure out how to get stuff without torrenting.
Shit if this happens and becomes a big deal there will be copypasta and images posts daily to teach people how/where to go without worrying.
No loli but if you enjoy winter, definitely the place to be. It's like a little less than half a year.

Fight me Sentai, Silver, and Funi
Nothing. Nobody cares.
How does this even work? I live in Vietnam myself, but the native singers in my country has always had songs being pirated by a lot their own fans.
There was once a lawsuit against a translator groups translate Harry Potter before the official copyrighted publisher in Vietnam, but it wasn't that serious.
Seriously even the government officers don't know shit about pirates and copyrights, they ever used pirated Windows, Photoshop and MS Office all the time without getting fined or anything.
