Are there any shows where the cake actually wins?
All the original cast of Nanoha are cakes now, make of this whatever you want.
Exception that proves the rule, but you got ten points.
Not only did the cake win, but they got fuckin' married.
Mizuho was my first waifu.
Her hair is too long. She needs a hair cut. Maybe that's why she's having trouble getting a guy.
Konata from Lucky Star is a cake within the year, I believe.
Magical world reset, it doesn't count.
didn't cake use to mean loli like 7 years ago?
He ended up with Kouki's mom at the end, right /a/?
It still does. OP meant Christmas Cake.
No it's an unmarried woman over 25.
Manga goes beyond the anime, check it by yourself, like we all did.
You are evil.
You are technically correct.
Anime where the main character ends up with a much older woman ... Angelic Layer. She ends up with her mom.
King Gainer, kind of.
Canonically, Junpei ends up with Celcia.
Hilarious ending to that piece of shit show
He shacks up with his daughteru.
There was that priestess in El-Hazard who ended up marrying the gym teacher. And Ifurita was around 10000 years old by the end IIRC.
I've heard nothing but hate for this show out of /a/, but I'd like to see them point out another non-hentai show where the MC and main girl don't pussyfoot around for the entire series, admit they're in love with each other, have sex, the sex wasn't at the very end of the last episode, and they face relationship problems that aren't based on the initial problem of admitting their feelings for each other.
>I've heard nothing but hate for this show out of /a/
>Canonically, Junpei ends up with Celcia.
Do we browse the same /a/?
The /a/ I know like this show but acknowledges onegai sister is superior.
Is it what you consider hate?
It's true. Every time I've seen it mentioned here without an extremely negative slant to post, the post is immediately followed by 90 people saying the characters were terrible and poorly written, the plot is a train wreck, the art is awful, the animation was Gumby tier, and the only thing worse than the characters and plot was the pathetic attempt at romance.
See above. I've heard the same things said about Please, Twins, too.
I've been on /a/ since 2004, and I've never, ever seen anyone shit talk Onegai series.
I saw proof of what he described only yesterday in an awful Ano Natsu thread where some chucklefuck spent three hours trying to convince himself and others that there was no drama in Ano Hana. There was a parallel discussion about Onegai Teacher and it went exactly like he described.
>and they face relationship problems that aren't based on the initial problem of admitting their feelings for each other.
B-b-but anon! Without shitty misunderstandings, waifu wars and faggotry, where would the LN market go? You NEED conflict to tell a story and there's obviously only one kind of conflict you can do with romance, and that's "When will the MC stop being a faggot and act like a human being with real emotions?"
What the fuck. God dammit neo /a/.
Good to see I'm not the only one that notices it.
Don't forget the part where you HAVE to have an open ending when all is said and done so as to not offend crazed otaku fanboys of the girls who lose.
Here you go, https://archive.foolz.us/a/thread/99857111/#99859494
were you here 24/7
cause ive been here since 2006 and sometimes I come across something I never heard of like a meme or some event or something , I guess somethings just slip through your fingers.
>Don't forget the part where you HAVE to have an open ending when all is said and done so as to not offend crazed otaku fanboys of the girls who lose.
I don't get it. A good amount of these shows actually have likable characters and some real humor. If they dropped the shitty drama, they'd be much better stories. I know the mindset is "This is what the whole story is about!" but the generic cliched shit is always what makes those LNs and adaptations shit.
So much shit taste..
The long and the short of it is that it sells, and because LN, manga, anime, and video game creators are so close to their fans through social media outlets, it's easy for them to be bullied into changing shit to suit the fans.
Best girl won
I'm not sure if thats a good or bad thing...
>The long and the short of it is that it sells,
It hurts my soul.
Oh yeah, Jesus that was a shit show. The first few episodes showed real promise, and then it devolved into powerlevel bullshit.
But you're right, best girl totally won in the end.
Sure makes one feel old doesn't it?
It makes me feel genuinely sad.
This proves nothing but I always wanted that.
What is this?
The last chapter of the last manga volume, showing the wedding of Junpei and Celcia.
No I mean, what manga is it? I don't recognize the art and a reverse search told me nothing.
She was pretty old from the start, what with being an ancient weapon of mass destruction. I was glad she was able to become happy in the end.
