Monster info from the novels.
>izu is into dogs
>serrararara is into cats
why cant i hold all this bestiality /a/
Did anyone catch Serrarararara hugging the cat doll?
it was a tora
Same family. She is trying to find a replacement for hugging her husband while she is at camp.
she was obviously fantasizing about cuddling in bet with nyanta
best dog is best dog.
Is Log Horizon finally becoming good?
It was good the moment you heard the OP in episode 1
Log Horizon was always good.
It was always good.
Is this FMA?
Why is the combat here so shitty? The story is pretty good though.
The combat is reminiscent of MMORPGs, requires strategy and coordination.
If you prefer flashy, uncordinated and pure action scenes, I point you towards Sword Art Online, which animates all of this beautifully.
Bro did you listen to the chorus lyrics.
Plus Krusty is goofy as fuck, he could conceivably listen to anything.
Why couldn't she add Rudy onto her friend's list? Can nobody add friends, or is Rudy an NPC or something?
Rudy is a lander
Is that something that's revealed in the LN or just a guess?
It's not a guess.
I thought the anime made it more obvious than the novels did.
Yeah the anime OP is pretty blatant.
Revealed in the LN.
Well yeah, I thought it was pretty obvious but I just wanted to be sure.
yes, its also been hited at in the anime when you go back to ep 13 or 14 his status icon is in the color of the lander instead of the adventurer color
Well, that and the name tags.
>tfw Rudy is a handsome retard because Sorcerers' main attribute is Charisma while Wizards use Intelligence
this ain't D&D
Name an RPG Video game that doesn't build upon the same principles.
>Minori finally speaks up and gets the team's shit together
I inwardly cheered.
Mamare my nigga
sorcerers using Charisma as spell-casting attribute isn't common in games, often it is actually the same attribute for all spell-casting classes, usually Int or whatever else they have instead.
what is Final Fantasy?
is it just me or does Rudy's face seem QUALITY in that shot?
The only sorcereress I can remember in Final Fantasy was incredibly charismatic.
I love this show!
This is why shes the best out of the crubs
>be an npc that can die
>go balls deep into dungeons anyway
My thoughts exactly after rewatching the episode. He's turning into a dog
Wheres that Rudy copypasta?
Don't forget that he had to train for years to get what he has, unlike everyone else who starts that strong/
What if they eventually figure out how to go back to RL and since Rudy a lander but one artificially made into an adventurer, his mind will be dragged along and put into a dog
What I would give to be a lvl 90 fighting that demi-human horde right now.
The man we should all aim to be
>Not Sorcerer or wizard
melting them fuckers, and if you have Chef subclass, making grilled fish at the same time
My favourite character
Slurping exp potions and just going ham with some AOE attacks. Exp heaven
This makes me want to play an MMORPG so bad.
I'm getting Ragnarok Online flashbacks.
Except, y'know, you only get experience for monsters 7 levels below you, even with exp pots.
There's no level gap restriction with EXP pots.
So there are two threads, this one and >>100050162 that one. Which do you think is better to stick to? I don't want to have to post in multiple threads about the same thing.
That... actually makes sense.
>you only get experience for monsters 7 levels below you
Not in Elder Tale.
>In Elder Tales, this was a famous support item. By drinking this potion, you could slightly increase your attack and recovery powers, and receive twice the EXP in battles.
>There was another effect. In a normal case, you need to defeat monsters that are less than 5 levels below you. But with the potion, you can gain EXP even if you defeat monsters 7 levels below you.
>The effects of the potion last for only 2 hours, but it would help you earn EXP during its effective time.
LN says you're wrong. Pretty sure it's also said in the anime, but I don't remember the lines.
But is Rudy Royalty?
He's the son of a fallen noble
I want a bestiality doujin with Isuzu. She gets the knotted dick.
But each page alternates between bestiality and her making love with Rudy.
Ahhh I see.
Your reading comprehension blows anon.
Dogs are shit tier animals and pets.
Sorry, but I still can't figure out what I'm reading wrong. Would you care to fill me in on the ways of reading comprehension?
>twice the experience in battle
>bad by any standard
That's literally the most retarded thing ever. Madmare or whoever writes this fucked up when they said the potions weren't useful in game. I would have had an alt farming them every day for when the expansion hit, and so would have everyone else who was in it to win it
they weren't trade-able in game maybe?
>In a normal case, you need to defeat monsters that are less than 5 levels below you.
Is the restriction
>But with the potion, you can gain EXP even if you defeat monsters 7 levels below you.
That's telling you there is no restriction when using the potion, because it's giving you a value beyond what was stated before. It's not saying that it can ONLY be a gap of 7.
Even Sphaela's pastebin has it.
>Experience cannot be gained from enemies 6 levels lower than you (limitation does not apply under effect of the beginner exp pot)
They're usless because of how fast you leveled to 90
>100 hours should be sufficient to hit level cap with balanced amount of game-play, although typically less than 80 hours is enough
>subject isn't Dog Horizon
You had one chance, OP.
The bards in this show sure are cute.
Hmm, you're right; it's vague enough to allow that kind of interpretation. If that's the case, I'm not sure why he didn't just specifically say 'any level below you,' but eh.
I didn't like him at first, but now he's amazing.
There were, he said they were
>They're usless because of how fast you leveled to 90
It could take 1 minute to hit the level cap and they'd still be useful.
Especially when a new expansion is coming out.
There's a reason people sit on 25 completed quests when an expansion in WoW comes out, it gives them a good boost, even if it is only 6 bars of XP. Double XP from kills AND those other boosts is ridiculous.
Assuming quests give 75% of the XP a player earns (which is probably high), 25% cut in half would put you at 87.5 hours instead of 100. That's a HUGE gain.
>It could take 1 minute to hit the level cap and they'd still be useful.
>Especially when a new expansion is coming out.
I don't think it really matters, seeing as stat gains are pretty linear, you'd be in dungeons getting the 'newest' gears anyways, so the exp will come as you try and get the new Phantasmals. Remember, it only takes so long to level past 90 after the Catastrophe because of the x12 time difference and travel + other shit.
>but Rundelhaus has no clue and loves to use it.
>so the exp will come as you try and get the new Phantasmals.
What are you arguing?
It's not like I said "You can't get XP without the potions", I said that they give such a good boost that everyone who plays endgame would be going after them.
Even if you can raid below max level (which is retarded if it takes 100 hours to hit), there would be no point to NOT use as many XP pots as possible to give yourself a boost.
>party of clueless dipshits fucking up
>healer finally whips them into shape
Just like in every actual MMO ever. No, xXxDarkxXxAssassinxXx, stealthing through the dungeon ahead of the party is not helpful.
>I don't think it really matters
It does for realm firsts
Nor does being an impatient ass and pulling when healer and casters are out of mana
>Using taunt on a mob after a ranged dps attacks it doesn't work
What the fuck? How are people suppose to leash then? The taunt system in LH seems a little weird
That never works in any game if the DPS threat value is higher than what's generated by a taunt.
The point he was making that if Orb of Lava generated more threat than the Samurai could generate with that one taunt, the enemy would immediately go for Rudy, making it hard for the Samurai to regain aggro, due to the melee range of all but one of his skills.
>dps charges forward and doesn't let tank do their job
My pain is universal
Has the noob crew never played a mmo before? This episode made me cringe quite a bit when they didn't even know how to use their skills and mmo dungeoning basics
They're portrayed as quite young, and obviously new to ET, so likely not. Hell, I didn't get into MMOs until I was around 12, and even then I spent years playing Runescape, which didn't have much in the way of party combat.
Isn't the idea supposed to be that they are noobs and learning how to play? It's not that cringey, it was just demonstrating that it works just like any other mmo and has the same party problems as one.
No, they haven't. Isuzu wasn't going to even keep playing after her free trial pass was over
Shiroe also said battle is harder than when it was a game.
>Try out a free trial
>"This game is alright, but I probably won't keep playing"
I'd say she got pretty damn lucky, then.
No, the point he was making was that Rudy was pulling stuff before Tohya had them in range and locked down. Samurai have short ranged taunts and pulls.
Nope. None of'em, except perhaps Serara.
Anyone else wonder what's going on in the real world now?
Maybe their physical bodies all died, and their minds are trapped in the game (similar to Ghost in the Shell I guess), they're basically only kept alive on the servers. I can imagine there being some kind of public outcry and debate on the news about keeping them "alive" and just letting their minds live in the game. In the database
It's cool she found a pet dog to play with
Yes, it's mentioned many times that if a monster is like, ten or so level below you, you aint getting any EXP from killing them
There bodies vanished when the Catastrophe hit.
Sorry, but they're not trapped in a game or servers, they're basically on another planet/dimension.
Still, what happened to the old world, obviously people would have noticed them missing (judging by the manga page of Shiroe disappearing). I wonder though, how much time has passed in the human world? Considering the time differences.
>Still thinking it's a game and not "they've literally gone to another universe where the laws of physics work differently"
Another dimension sounds pretty silly, why would another dimension coincidentally be basically the same as a game created by bipedal mammals in some other dimension?
These people along with the NPC people
YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT EXISTS OUT THERE NIGGA, YOU CAN'T SAY FOR SURE THAT SHIT AINT POSSIBLE
Because it's a work of fiction and everything else was explained last episode by the lake nerd.
I suggest you watch the show.
It's probably not coincidental.
Supposedly the world was wrecked and some god like beings rebuilt the world using the 1/4 of the remains that were still usable.
Man remember when people watched Digimon and just accepted how it was an alternate dimension born from the internet or whatever?
SAO ruined shit for everyone.
dogs >>>>>>> cats
Deal with it.
Serara is the noobiest of them all
That seemed like a lot of fishmen attacking, I wonder how many levels you could get from spamming aoe
They said they were something like level 20-30, and all of the trainers fighting them were level 90, so none.
Well unless they are within ten levels of the Sahuagin, they aint getting any levels.
Depends on the Mobs levels and whether you are no more than 5 levels (7 levels if you used an XP potion) above them.
The "Developers" are actually Alvs who made contact with world Fraction to our world. From there the developers made an interface where people from our world would be able to create and control avatars over in the other world. The interface would look like any other game out there what with quests and what not, but what players never realized was that they were actually interacting with real people.
The apocalypse broke this separation and brought the adventurers who were logged into the "game" into their avatars places.
The only ones who will be getting any benefit are the newbies. Unless the Sahuagin drop gold, then everyone will be getting plenty of pocket money
I mean the noobs, they could just tag the mobs and then the hire leveled players could just come in and kill. Or maybe they could form a raid group and just have everyone aoe together to clear them out unless those things were elite mobs
Like it was said, the Saguahin are from level 20-30, and most of the scrubs are in their 20s. With that many Saguahin, and so few newbies around, they could never clear those mobs on their own, hell even the level 90s end up having trouble holding off the army
I wonder if demihumans have their own banking system, given that they respawn similar to Adventurers.
>The interface would look like any other game out there what with quests and what not, but what players never realized was that they were actually interacting with real people.
But they acted like NPC's in any other game prior to the apocalypse walking in a set pattern and speaking no more than a few preset lines.
Rudy seemed able to 1shot those skeletons with his lava orb and they were dungeon mobs, I don't think it'd be that hard to do the same with the fishes especially in a raid group. Also how are the 90s not 1shotting level 20 mobs?
Nah, the demihumans are chaotic creatures, they need no banks or money, as they just kill and ravage and steal what they want.
The skeletons were in the 20 level range, which was the right range for the scrub team to fight them without too much difficulty, Rudy is a sorcerer, who are known for their high damage output.
As for the 90s, they can one shot level 20-30 monsters, but there are less than a hundred level 90s at the training camp, and there are thousands of the Sahuagin
Limited contact and shit, probably.
Also, Isuzu used Resonance Beat, and I'm not sure if that just allows the attack to target multiple creatures, but it might have had an increased damage effect.
Resonance Beat: Attack skill | Imbues a tune onto a weapon, causing a shockwave on impact, causing a resonance effect with the enemy's body as a medium. Even after the attack is over the effects of the shockwave remains and if an additional attack is made, it will cause a resonance explosion dealing further damage. As 2 hits are needed, the damage dealt is very high. By the way, bards who use percussion instruments and repeatedly use Resonance Beat are called "Drummers" or "Taiko masters".
Didn't he cast an ice based attack immediately after the fire orb?
Now that I think about it yeah he did, but you're going to be having more sources of aoe with a raid party so it shouldn't matter much. You'll still be one shotting with your aoe stacking
has anyone got the various pictures that show what a normal day for each of the characters is?
So, I'm guessing Rudy is a person of the land then? What else could it be?
nothing, you guessed correctly.
You're right, it's nothing else
That sad face with the why
I was at work ;_;
Rundelhaus is actually a chair
I wish Diablo 3 became the real world so I could beat the shit out of anyone in this continent.
(Note: This is not canon)
A little sad that they didn't show the boss fights.
Hoped when they got to this part of LN it would be included.
Suddenly I'm interested in this show
Me too, Matt, me too.
for 2-3 weeks? This isnt the first hint that hes a lander, we've been talking about this for the last 2 episodes
I hope they have another season
I can't wait to see shiroe get stuck in his alt Roe2 who is also a female sorcerer.
Really? I never noticed anything hinting to that, it must have gone right over my head.
But she hasn't even shown up on the novels, and she's a summoner.
Roe2 is a summoner
The color of his character panel, his overreaction to almost dying, little things like that. It also helps if you've read the LNs.
Meant to say Summoner, I've been up for too long
That he's labeled as a Sorceror instead of adventurer like everyone else.
Last I checked Mamare never said Shiroe would get stuck as Roe2, only that we'd see her.
Book 8 isn't even out yet
>bard has a skill that lowers threat
>party keeps wiping because DD keeps pulling aggro
>"hurr how is a skill like that useful?"
Its how MMO beginners tend to think, though. If it isn't producing huge numbers of damage, it's shit.
Don't underestimate the stupidity of MMO scrubs.
Haha, I can feel your pain. Been a priest numerous times in Ragnarok Online and used similar classes in other games for years until I got tired of that shit and went ranged DPS instead.
It would only be good for scrubs anyway.
>Not knowing this kind of thing is what killed MMOs
The ending of this episode perfectly captured the horror of a Murloc swarm.
Some long timers can be that idiotic as well.
"I use super heal... why am I getting attacked?"
Tell me about it. I was once healing for a party, using mostly lower tier heals as they were more MP and threat efficient, and this DD who kept pulling aggro complained that I "wasn't healing for enough," even though I never let him drop below 50% despite him constantly pulling aggro. He was in his late 40's and had been playing MMOs for over a decade.
D-did I do good?
Some people just do not care to learn about threat/enmity/hate mechanics.
This post may be three hours old, but I noticed an unusual amount of QUALITY this episode.
It's not that bad, he's just missing part of his nose.
It happens later on when they enter the Fountain of Memories raid in Volume 9, at the end
A few other people also get stuck on their alts, but I wont spoil it all
I am so going to love this.
But I thought he was a Golden Retriever.
dood do you think I'm stupid?
Vol 7 came out like barely a week ago.
*3 weeks ago, I can't into time
I've only read the first few volumes, which is why I made that comment.
Hahaha. Well, I guess t would work on animu only.
See, but the thing is, he's lying. Vol 7 just came out, it's impossible for there to be any information about Vol 9. This should be self-evident, and you don't need to have read any volumes to realize it.
There was a gadgeteering power like that in Champions Online. Using it gave you a buff that made your next attack attach a bomb to your enemy. Hitting the enemy exploded the bomb.
Originally, using it with an AoE attack attached a bomb to everyone in the AoE, meaning you could hit five enemies at once with five bombs at once. Then they nerfed it because Cryptic hates fun.
Shame. I loved my chunky salsa build.
Oh, that's terrible. Doesn't change the fact that I need to read the later volumes though.
More like this i would think.
>Oh god its running away.
>Please let my dot tick, please let my dot tick,
>Remember, it only takes so long to level past 90 after the Catastrophe because of the x12 time difference and travel + other shit.
I just realized something. Before the catastrophe, players under 30 would get one exp pot per day. Presumably when Shiroe said it, he meant real-life day and not game-day because A)No one counts in game-days, B) 12 pots a day would be ridiculous.
However, now that they're in the game the new players get an exp pot per game day (explicitly stated that they get them every day), rather than every 12 game days. Slight inconsistency, I suppose.
>descend to the beach
>patrolling rare elite faggot murloc comes to get some ass
>barely fend him off, he's running away and you're dying to death
>he runs directly into a group of 4 other murlocs
There's a part later, when Minori says something like "are they all gone? Did we win?" and her facial features look shrunken and slapped onto her face. There were a couple other times but I can't recall them.
Although things like skill countdowns are now counted in in-world time rather than real-life time too, so I suppose that's the same thing.
Not really. she seems the most competent since all that had to be changed about the strategy regarding her was that she was changed from co healer to main healer for the tank. Shit. she even managed to curebomb a lv 90 player properly despite being a noob.
Everyone else did something stupid or didn't speak up about something wrong while catnip did her job just fine and kept trucking.
But they're sahuagin.
Seemed like "how does I MMO?" the episode.
murlocs are like bastardized sahuagin though.
the raid boss sounds like a fun encounter
true but in their first run he still kinda one shotted most of the skeletons. The song Isuzu left active added an extra shot to finish off the remains.
The newbies could theoretically take down quite a bunch of them but since they're still new they would need the higher levels to explain the plan first once things are calm first.
Stack enough aoe buffs and the newbies could probably rape alot of shit.
They're still outnumbered by the thousands but it'll be an exp bonanza until they retreat
One of the problems forthcoming is resource management. Not much you can do without MP.
so goblins rape stuff with their noses, how do sahagins take advantage of the poor landers?
It's especially awful when they scream for cures when they're at 99~% and have regen hp buffs on that i gave them. It's like they WANT the mage to run out f mp.
My first MMO was Tera a few months ago, when LH started airing. I played a Priest and didn't realize that healing was one of the biggest threat gaining actions possible. I got mobbed so many times until I realized, then I started managing my heals better and worked some attacks into my rotation even if they didn't do shit.
Then I stopped playing because the game got hard to solo around level 35. I wish the crafting had been better and there were more sidequest chains and areas.
A digital world, a vr world.
>Then I stopped playing because the game got hard to solo around level 35. I wish the crafting had been better and there were more sidequest chains and areas.
Really? Assuming you followed all the quests in 1 area, you actually ended up overleveled for the alt/next area.
Well combat would be pretty weird if it counted ingame time still wouldn't it?
>All these confused monsters wondering why the fuck adventurers are moving at 1/12 speed.
I skipped the Ultra large monster quests since I was a solo Priest and killing each one took something like 15 minutes a piece, if I didn't fuck up and aggro two or more at once.
I think I'm in that desert area with the robot monsters now, but I haven't played in months. I want to get back into it though and try to join a guild. But I'd have to get a microphone.
Are the fish people high level or are there just a lot of them?
Why don't you look at the 2nd post in the thread.
you probably were just doing something wrong, even if you skip the large monster quests (which is a good idea, they are not worth the trouble) you still get more than enough exp for leveling.
It's also not that hard as a priest, though other classes might have it even easier.
Leveling in Tera is really not hard at all
Just a lot of them
>You will never have an MMO that time compresses seasons as well as days.
Would be awesome to play a game where every week the world changed due to snow falling or rivers flooding.
Speaking of snow, wish games would do terrain effect maps that made walking on roads faster and made stealth easier in tall grass.
Why does Akatsuki get to hog the ending all to herself?
because shes best girl
Then around 48+ you hit the brick wall where quest and monster give shit for xp
It was leveling and the lack of parties for raids. I thought I'd have no problem picking up parties as a Priest, but usually I'd wait an hour or more unless I got with someone grinding for loot running the same raid over and over. There's not a lot of low level players left in Tera, at least in my experience.
yes, finding groups is hard as a healer. It's the same in higher levels.
no real brick wall in Tera, you can get to level 60 easily. It's just not as ridiculously fast as before, but it's still fast.
Sasuga korean mmorpgs
> lvl 85
> exp from lvl 1 to lvl85: 5.078.544.041
> exp from lvl 85 to lvl86: 5.906.525.385
> level cap is 99
>yes, finding groups is hard as a healer. It's the same in higher levels.
Fuck, /v/ lied to me then. I always heard that healers were wanted second only to tanks for raids.
But Isuzu will win the dog right?
That's what happens when Priests aren't absolute shit.
wholey fuacking sheit
Is Tera fun? I want to be a no pantsu loli wizard. I played some of the open beta and had fun.
MMO with Elder Tale style classes and class variety when?
might depend on the server.
Though, second to tanks is still right, it's just that the difference between first and second is huge, and everyone who isn't tank or healer is DD. However only tanks are really wanted.
well, it was one of the better MMO I played. I didn't like the endgame, though.
It was my first MMO and I had some fun, definitely thought it was worth my time at least.
It's decent, but it's unpolished.
Dungeons are impossible to find a group for in less than an hour unless you're a tank. There has to be at least one person who goes down because they can't fucking stay out of the death circles. Crafting system is garbage. Any 4chan related guild is a disgusting circlejerk, don't even bother. Endgame content is lacking. Healing is actually kind of fun, once you realize that direct heals produce huge amounts of aggro. Combat is pretty fun too, if you're not playing a solo caster.

Shit memory, would appreciate people posting more mmorpgs with et-kinda classes
Samurai is a counter tank, Monk is an evasion tank
Everquest Bards were the best class in MMO history. They were a true jack-of-all trades class.
>solo leveling a Priest or Mystic
That shit's the most painful thing in the game.
As a Mystic I have about 4 offensive abilities, 2 of which I can't use on BAMs. The hardest hitting ability does 1/7 of the DMG an Archer does with the charged up arrows. Multiply the suffering ten times by leveling consisting entirely of collect 15 bear asses.
Still, throwing a Thrall of Wrath at some PKer who thinks he's shit makes it all worthwhile.
I would add rift to monk, they have a rogue tank
I would add rift to monk, they have a rogue tank
also to bard
Counter as in skills with "can only be used after a parry/dodge" or simply as parry tank?>>100064601
I played bard in rift, i have no idea why i left that out
Counters are usually the whole "activate a gauge with a quick time limit, but enemies that attack you when the gauge is active are immediately countered before their strike hits you, thus negating damage on the user" thingy in a lot of MMOs due to actual dodging / parrying and then countering being too hard to implement unless it's solo play (like Dragons Dogma).
...As in ultimate evasion but with parries?
It sound more like a rogue kinda thing
Reading Soujirou's tanking of "that" in vol6 i thought samurai tank was a tank that tanked with parries instead of blocks.
Mabinogi has a lot of classes and skills. Not as many as Elder Tale, but that shit doesn't exist.
Parry tank, sort of. Samurai has a number of skills that rely on letting monsters attack first to deliver powerful counter hits, theres even a whole build focused on the Iai style
To add WoW's coverage:
√ Guardian: Prot Warrior, Prot Paladin
√ Samurai: Death Knight (not sure which spec is tank spec these days, they keep changing that shit), Bear Druid, Monk
√ Assassin: Subtlety/Assasination Rogue, Cat Druid
√ Swashbuckler: Rogue, Fury Warrior, Enhance Shaman
√ Summoner: Warlock
√ Sorcerer: Mage, Elemental Shaman, Warlock
√ Enchanter: Mage
√ Druid: Resto Druid
√ Cleric: Ret Paladin
>mainly used to increase the affection levels of mounts and pets
Tell me she uses this on Rudy.
It's like she's so plain, she crossed the plain threshold into completely adorable.
Bards in ffxi can attack. it's just generally discouraged because everyone attacks monsters much higher level than them. They also tended to be really busy pulling mobs and alternating buffs for the mages so they usually never had time to melee but they definitely had the function available.
I recall hearing that in FFXIV they merged with rangers so they basically became singing archers
That sound so ridiculously awesome, except when you're actually sniping something.
We've been blessed with so much screentime of her
So why aren't the training camp kids popping pots and fighting alongside the vets? The tadpole wave could probably get most them to jump 2 or 3 levels. And its not like they could morarly let them destroy the lander village.
> samurai (riposte tank): ffxiv, aoc, swtor, vindictus

Didn't put ffxiv's bard because it's just a dps with a couple buffs.
It's kinda weird since it annoys people who want to play marksman since they just want to shoot people in the head and people who want to play bard because they're forced to be some dps instead of support.
Levelling up is harder now that it's real. They also need to know how to work as a party.
How come we haven't seen any social rejects in this? I could see quite a few playing an MMO while having a social phobia so hard, they couldn't even uphold a normal conversation but everybody in this anime seem to be normies or wannabe Hokuto no Ken world dwellers.
You haven't seen social rejects because they're social rejects.
If you look at it they all became pretty handsome and athletic, so they gained confidence from that
One'd imagine the recluses would stay out of sight.
Or get confidence from their new looks/powers.
Yeah basically. If I got turned into my main character I'd be tall, buff as hell, and able to throw fireballs and teleport and shit. How could one not be confident with gains like that?
Why can't we see more of that animation at the beginning?
More budget pls.
u wot mate.
minstrels in lotro were a healer, not a debuffer.
You get some confidence and increased self esteem if you can wield some skills and kill monsters
There're 2 types of them, one makes his char look like Hokuto no Ken and acts accordingly as he's not the fat/skinny little shit he was back then and the ones hiding.
I don't think true social rejects could participate in MMOs. They're dependent on you being very social.
Also they're probably sulking all alone in Akiba, or got out of their funk because they've all found themselves in a disaster survival scenario..
Lotro had the captain or whatever his name was that was both a fighter and a buffer (it had those flag thingies that were aoe buffs if i recall correctly)
I seem to recall one of the lotro healers mainly had hots... will remove it next time i post it.
What about RO?
Monk > Monk: Short-range teleports and combo attacks.
Bard > Bard: (Mostly) support songs and damage dealer
Enchanter > Sage: CC, buff, support, auto-bolt builds resemble the ET's Sprinkler build
Kannagi-Shaman > Soul Linkers: Class buffs and avoiding damage
Summoner > Alchemist: Might be a stretch but Alchemist can also fight along side their Homunculus.
Guardian, Assassin and Clerics are a given too.
combat is pretty fun. The previous endgame dungeon (MCHM) was a ton of fun/work too clear with a new group that has barely the gears required for it. I personally stop playing mostly because I didn't have the time back then. From what i read now though the endgame raid is piss easy and super long so that is preventing me from really coming back to it.
>implying the social rejects aren't just endlessly fapping in some deserted place with their opposite gender bodies or having giant, awkward orgies
Thats not what he means by social rejects, I think. People (i.e. nerds) that are ostracized in real life try to find alternative ways to establish social connections. MMORPGs were one way to do just that - firstly by establishing themselves as individuals of merit and usefulness, secondly by providing their usefulness to others, lastly to provide what awkward companionship they can provide to other people. However, people that even fail at those things in MMOs by being complete abject failures or most or all aspects of social interaction.
Those are the kind of rats that hang out around the bank or in the capitol all day. The kind of rats that make stupid posts on forums all day. The kind of rats that can only find fun in the virtual chatroom aspect of MMOs.
And in the world of ET, where a rat suddenly becomes a helpless bitch with no way to get home and no hope of git gud, those rats are just going to hang around the city all day being useless. In other words, theres no point for the plot to show them unless the plot wants to make a point out of them. (Like for example, the establishment of an Akihabara Healthcare System to provide psychiatric aid to victims that are unable to cope with the ET world.)
>notice after 1 mirrion episodes that Rudy dies in the op
well that spoiled it for me
>have been playing as a Sorcerer when the Apocalypse happens
No time for love, time to cast spells and AoE.
They will, they just have to pull back or else get swallowed up in a wave of fish dicks
You mean her father?
The OP spoils literally the entire season, man.
Yeah, I think this sounds the most logical.
She didn't manage to curebomb shit. Shiroe asked her to heal everyone, enemies included, to disguise the fact the enemy healers were being killed by Akatsuki.
Doesn't that make it actually more impressive that she managed to do so?
Why didn't the killed enemy healers just start messaging as they respawned to watch out for an assassin?
Friendly reminder that everyone is first person now, so no action log of who cast what for how much
becuz wen u git stunlkd ingame u git stunlkd IRL
Revival isn't instant.
Did anyone else think this is D-Day?
I want to see an in-game event in WoW like this where level 95 elite murlocs storm the beaches worldwide. It'd be a lot of fun, only second to the zombie event
They can't talk while dead, because dead. And getting sent to the cathedral isn't instant.
Then there is the whole memory loss after death.
Captains were more like WoW pallies.
Shit dps, Good buffs, Durable as hell but no threat generation, super cheap but mediocre healing.
If anything, it resembles crabs coming out onto beaches in legions. Happens all the time, and cars end up running over them all the time when they swarm onto the roads.
It doesn't happen in MMOs because PC requirements. Even if an MMO loads 1000 creeps onto a beach, most players will only see an average of maybe 30-40 at a time.
That sounds wonderfully terrifying.
In Ragnarok Online:
> Guardian: Crusader
> Samurai: Two-Handed Sword Knight
> Monk: Monk
> Bard: Bard/Dancer
> Assassin: split between Hunter and Assassin
> Swashbuckler: Rogue
> Sorcerer: Wizard
> Enchanter: Sage
> Kannagi: Soul Linker
> Druid: Homunculus Alchemists and Summoner Sorcerers (Sage 3rd Job)
> Cleric: Priest
>It doesn't happen in MMOs because PC requirements. Even if an MMO loads 1000 creeps onto a beach, most players will only see an average of maybe 30-40 at a time.
That seems like a matter of engine efficiency. A good engine shouldn't choke on this, since all 1000 units are using the same model and textures.
Most players would find it stupid and annoying. Look up the WoW elemental invasion and how Blizzard refuses to do anything like it again.
As a WoW player, allow me to say that most WoW players are powercasual faggots who get upset if their leisurely walk to the auction house is interrupted. I love the game but the players are often cringeworthy.
Thats the MMO player base these days.
Do you remember when you were happy about first shitty drop from your killed monster? Or observing other players and enjoy the sole fact that you are part of that world? Me neither.
yes, anon, a master piece.
That's not canon.
I read all spoilers I find and I don't think the LNs revealed the fully story yet.
Though from the last ep I got the impression that the "real" world was in fact created by use of that world fraction spell just so there would be a mass of intelligent people controlling these robotic "adventurer" characters. Like that's the whole purpose of mankind's creation, and it was in fact the game world that is the "real" one and existed prior. Maybe it doesn't make much sense but it's an entertaining thought, to consider that the "game" world is in fact the real one, and the gamers in the "real" world who (think they) have lives outside the game are just puppets created to control adventurers in the game, which is the real world.
Suddenly, being a no-life gamer is an honorable deed for the real real world.
With more skills incoming.
I don't remember THOSE exact details, but I remember my first 48 hours in UO. I remember how I started out my first month in Trinsic and Minoc. I remember going from not knowing jack squat, getting scammed, and being pk'd and robbed to starting my own protection guild with our own guard drakes and smelting house.
It wasn't a perfect life, but it was pretty good for my first start.
more like filler horizon
More like Dog Horizon.

Call me a slowpoke, but was Regan voiced by Kaiki?
Because she killed them all in seconds
If Assassin's Assassinate skill is an instead kill, why isn't everybody an assassin and one shot bosses?
Bosses can one-shot Assassins too.
[Special] Assassins key and last resort skill, it is the strongest instantaneous damage ability among weapon-based attacking classes. Deals large damage to an enemies body, furthermore enemies usually killed instantly if their level is lower than the Assassin's by 10 levels or more. Since strength of this skill is increased with higher ranks, the Assassin can potentially outclass the firepower of others. If the attack lands, a white glow appears on screen surrounding the enemy, showing their silhouette falling if it is instant death. The ranged version of this resembles a lightning strike by numerous arrows.
It won't one-shot bosses.
This one actually has some people who are intelligent and funny, that thread is for faggots
Doesn't it even spoil stuff that wouldn't be animated this season? Isn't the hair in the moon sea from volume 6?
It can deal up to 10k damage (source: vol6)
That's not a spoiler per se. If you aren't aware, it's just a neat visual effect.
You forget the part where they have to render all the monsters.
Well, reference rather than spoil.
Welp downloaded rifts
>√ Cleric: Ret Paladin
u wot m8
Elements of how a Cleric in Elder Tales can play bare similarities to how a Ret Paladin plays.
The "Cleric" in Elder Tales is basically an all encompassing class to do with Holy Magic, so it would contain both WoW Disc and Holy Priests as well as Paladins under its categorisation.
Enjoy your extremely easy leveling 1-50 with instant adventure spamming and then enjoy your 50-60 pain because everything is literally kill x amount of creatures and there's one for every creature.
also enjoy not getting into real endgame until three months after hitting 60.
its good, just started playing with 3 other friends
theres seems to be an actual end game and doesnt seem too casual
so incredibly okay with this
So it's not one of those casual mmorpgs where you get to endgame in 3 hours?
I starting cause of the large class selections available
I remember when I got my first AOE skill in RO. First thing I did was go out into Geffen field and nuke a bunch of Fabres and Pupas.
I got burnt out of Storm Legion's leveling after doing it twice. Currently level 57 on my mage. Pretty boring.
In mmorpgs grinding near level cap is either fast as fuck or boring... I'm starting to believe the latter is better.
If I got turned into my WoW main I'd be the ugliest dwarf in the world, but I'd have an awesome bear to keep me company.
If I turned into my FFXIV main I'd be a catgirl that's midlevel everything.
He is a pet now, you can't add to the friend list a pet.
If you played Summoner you'd have time both for casting spells and love.
A Cleric is more like a Holy paladin, not a ret, ret is just 2 buttons shitty dps.
No, a Cleric in ET can take on a frontline, damage dealing role like a ret Paladin.
And fuck you, Rets are by far the most fun DPS spec in the game these days
Is that you, Ashcorp?
If I got turned into my paladin, I'd be a ginger black guy
I think I'd prefer it
It only have 7 volumes, what a shame it's so little, I could watch hundreds of episodes of this show without getting bored.
Mamare said the plan's for 15 volumes plus side stories. It just takes time to write everything.
if I was turned into my monk I'd be an ugly middle aged balding but well built man
i don't know if i want it or not
I think I asked before, but what Elder Tale class or class+subclass combination would allow one to be a magic knight type of character? Like, they can cast spells but they can deal hits and take hits unlike pure casters. I feel as if I would love to toss some fireballs or energy beams but I don't want to die in one hit or be powerless if I run low on MP.
Clerics damage is shit, they have good heals and defensive spells just like a Holy pala.
>ginger black guy
Do those even exist IRL
The damage isnt great but they can still be frontline damage dealers.
Therefore the comparison is valid.
So will Isuzu get the Rundeldick?
She has not gotten the knot yet, but who knows in the future. Mamare seems very up to going ahead with romanctic pairing and relationships, he just takes some time establishing and setting them up.
If Mamare is swift enough, he can get Vol 8 out before the end of the anime, then we'd just have to wait for about 6 months and there'd be enough material for a season 2. Winter 2015?
It's valid but a Cleric still more similar to a Holy than to a ret.
I'd rather meet my MMO characters than be them.
Sauce on that anime qt?
My Little Sister can't be this Cat
Is that a spinoff of "My Little Sister can't be this Dragon"?
What? Will he actually die? Fuck that.
It's not fair. The episodes are over so fast. There's obviously a shitload of story to cover and they're only doing two-cour.
Who do I throw my money at for more seasons?
The anime doesn't erally needs it, just send a "Thank you" for NHK and buy the LNs.
why is she so cute now
this was unexpected because she looked really unimportant the first time we see her
I bet she's the first fap for some japanese kids
RO is the closest thing i relate to ET
except it's hard to imagine it now with Renewal and 3rd jobs
Here's to hoping Tree of Saviour will be great
leave /a/ until the season ends
you haven't been spoiled yet
Putting it in spoilers won't help their case, anon
It's the freckles. I want to kiss all over them.
These two cours are consuming 5 volumes worth of material, at a rate of about one episode per chapter. In fact, S1 covers the entirety of what Mamare called "Part 1" of Log Horizon.
RO Renewal player here.
I think the Elder Tale feel of RO is still there, although there was never a threat mechanic in the game to begin with.
Didn't see its ranking among the other abyssmal sales that weren't IS2. It's actually holding its own? The elevens aren't being tasteless sillies that are instead holding their cash for SAO2?
...Buying. It's on the list. If there were a subscription, I'd do that, too.
Don't worry about the DVD/BD sales, it doesn't matter for Log Horizon. It airs at late afternoon in an educational channel, as long the ratings and reception are good enough, we'll probably get more seasons when there's more source material.
Of course, if you could, it'd be better if you bought the Novels..
Since LH is aired at NHK, which is state-funded, it's not as dependent on BD sales as most animes. So long as interest remains high (thus the other anon's suggestion of sending thank yous), there're good chances of getting more LH seasons.
No, really, I'm getting both. To start and stop blogging, I'm not a big mmo fan, but the idea of something as intricate, detailed, and damn-near infinitely expansive as MMO being the set and centerpiece for a "suddenly thrust into parallel fantasy world" story seriously sparks my interests. The fact that it's done so well, here, without liters and liters of unnecessary emo and existential angst is even more alluring.
The books are going on my shelf, and the BD collection's going on my other shelf.
And if I ever really slip and slide far, Akatsuki will be my first fig while I lament on how long any company's taking on getting a Minori fig made probably never
Minori teaches MMORPG Dungeon Strategy 101.
I still found it laughable that half the party didn't understand the role of a tank.
still cute but the freckles were definitely a huge contribution
>making fun of a proud and noble warrior like Rudie
I seriously hope you bards don't do this.
A few clarifications/additions and fixes for WoW classes here:
Some of them do bleed over to other classes, and there are a couple that are almost impossible to classify accurately, so are 'best guess'
Guardian: Prot Warrior, Prot Pally
Samurai: Blood Death Knight, Bear Druid, Brewmaster Monk
Monk: Windwalker Monk
Assassin: Subtlety/Assassin Rogue, Cat Druid
Swashbuckler: Combat Rogue, Fury Warrior, Ret Pally, Frost DK, Fury/Arms Warrior
Summoner: Beast Mastery Hunter, Unholy DK, Demonology Warlock
Sorcerer: Fire/Arcane Mage, Boomkin Druid, Destro Warlock, Elemental Shaman
Enchanter: Frost Mage, Shadow Priest, Affliction Warlock
Druid: Resto Shaman, Resto Druid
Cleric: Disc Priest, Mistweaver Monk
>It doesn't happen in MMOs because PC requirements. Even if an MMO loads 1000 creeps onto a beach, most players will only see an average of maybe 30-40 at a time.
You weren't around in vanilla WoW when the first big world event (AQ gates) opened were you? By god they TRIED to do it.
That was a blast. My computer, a lowly 2Ghz single core G5 and an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro had no trouble with it. The servers had far more trouble than player's machine did.
Oh I was there. It was glorious.
I was the one who opened the gate on my server.
There's that Digimon MMO with cards to summon 4~6 six monsters.
I remember an entire guild of Flips summoning thousands of them in the same map, they crashed their own PCs.
This. Dat intro
I was on the world-first event completion - Medivh (they had the games two biggest horde and alliance guilds openly cooperating to complete the event), and everybody on other servers were creating alts there to witness the opening. They actually had to implement special rules to prevent too many people coming over, and we still caused enough problems that caused world server crashes, and two hour queues.
Yeah. You can call that a blast if you want to.
I liked the combat in better SAO but LogH has an actual plot.
When they killed the first boss in SAO I literally got hard.
The main thing that I like about LH is the fact that the combat mechanics stay very true to MMO mechanics. I don't think that SAO ever had a mention of in-combat spell cooldowns during its entire run.
I was on Illidan at the time. Didn't know that it was being opened and was doing DM Tribute runs with some guild mates. Other guild members went over to see it. I really wish we'd stopped what were doing and went over. On the other hand, seeing them getting kicked offline by the crashing world server over and over probably meant we wouldn't have seen much.
What do you mean by that? Shiroe had to wait on his Thorn Bind before he could have Nyanta dice Demikas.
>because PC requirements
Not just on the enduser level, if that's all you're thinking of; bandwidth and latency begin adding up really fast.
16 bits for entity type
(If equipped with player-type items, 16 bits per equipment point - but I'll ignore this)
32+32 bits for health/mana points
8 bits for degrees facing (at 2° intervals)
64+64 bits for x/y position (ignoring z for convenience)
4 bits for action state
16+8 bits for action performed and time taken (ms)
8+8 bits per status effect
The resulting 0.03 KB in bandwidth (without overhead) may not seem like a lot, but if you have 1,000 entities, that's 30 KB per update interval, per player. Doing a loose interval of 0.5 sec to account for any optimizations in updating, and guessing 500 players are in the area and getting full entity information, thats 30 MB/sec going out of the server, and 60 KB/sec going into each player.
And we're not even touching the server-side calculations for the interaction of hundreds of skills, equipment, statuses, positions, etc, affecting those thousands of entities. Truly a tyranny of numbers.
>Oh, now I get why I'm so sexually comfortable around him!
>Rudy's a dog!
Rudy's such an annoying shitbag the game refuses to allow him friends.
It doesn't recognize her friend request, because it's an impossibility not allowed for in the game code.
Well, yes, why would you get sexually nervous around a dog?
Their interaction was so cute my heart melted.
>Enchanter: Frost Mage, Shadow Priest, Affliction Warlock
i don't think that you know what an enchanter is
It's weird how a series with such low amount of action has such a hardcore song.
Sooo... wat kind of NPC or Sistem bug is Dog-Prince?
A Quest NPC that wants to be an Adventurer.
I want this too.
>Isuzu uses Angel Brush on Rudy
>Rudy becomes affectionate to Isuzu
Oh, Rudy. I used to do this exactly.
>Always look 30 second ahead
what does that even mean ?
can someone explain how a newbie got her hands on the beta only race?
Good advice for any situation in life? Especially for strategic battles in an MMO I guess. The 30 seconds is figurative, of course, how much you need to foresee depends on the situation.
She might have an older sibling who played the beta then when the apocalypse happened she was playing.
Be aware of yourself and your environment, be prepare for any situation and try to solve in the best way, it's better preventing than acting late. The show is children friendly so It's a nice advice for them and for any person in general.
Orb of... Love?
Isn't it referring to some ability Shiroe has or something.
Yeah, it's Shiroe's battlefield prediction thingy where he figures out the hp/mp levels and battle conditions up to 30 seconds ahead with 1% margin of error
Probably cat, since the others don't have a noticeable difference?
And before you ask,
yes, Nyanta was a beta-tester
She can't help being best girl.
So what's her class? I want her to whip me
Why are the best girls always gay?
Rudy is best Dog Horizon and will win the Isuzu.
Summoner. Whips are among the weapons they can use.
he speaks in a prince-ish way does that mean he is?
There's more romantic sparks between them than I expected. I thought it would just be Akatsuki and Minori going for the Shiroe.
IS IT SATURDAY YET?
Wish that part where Elissa complains about having not enough clothes for them Krusty lunches
She's not a lesbian, though. She's just attracted to cute things.
If you couldn't figure that out yourself there's no need for you to worry about. Just leave it to someone that does.
Moot strikes again?
damn she's cute
Well, two of them are new to MMOs, one is a ditz who probably never raided, and one is a lander. The bard should have known though. She actually thought an threat reduction spell was worthless.
Clerics wield plate in horizons: empire of istaria.
Sasuga waito piggu. Would you like a wormboigah better?
Any translator want to decode Isuzu's Friend List?
I just want some confirmation from novelfags: do Rudy and Isuzu join Shiroe's guild?
This one has a clearer shot of the very last entry.
Look at the last shot of the OP
>Not knowing Kana
I can't read that giant fuck-off combo of 5 kanji on top of all the names, but the names are all in simple gana.
You can't read them?
Landers are allowed to join guilds?
Crescent Moon Alliance
Rudy becomes an adventurer through bullshit by Shiroe.
With the help of a certain scribe
If they are super unique and special Adventurer-Lander hybrids
What subclass do Marielle and Henrietta use?
i deleted the post since i meant to spoiler, but still thanks anons,
Ladies of the night.
Woodcrafter and accountant
I'd let her handle my wood if you know what I mean.
I thought I'd have problems with this one since Shiroe's list in Episode 1 had kanji. I'll just give it a go, then.
Here's my guesses:
Am I the only one who thinks the subclass system is absolutely retarded? How can you have vampire or berserker as a subclass next to fucking butler or maid?
Those subclasses use to be pretty unpopular, but after the apocalypse their pretty helpful if you're living alone.
I can only imagine how much coding would need to go into each subclass.
>vampire subclass gains xp from wandering at night, loses xp from going in sunlight, can sap HP from players/Landers
>berserker subclass gains xp from surrounding themselves with mobs and fighting without armor
>prop interactions EVERYWHERE for butlers/maids/housekeepers
I'm curious, what do butler/maid even do? They seem completely useless pre-apocalypse. I mean Serara can clean, but what does that even do?
>Not being a Monk Berserker Maid
Remove stains from clothing, BY PUNCHING THEM
I say there's too little bestiality going on.
>Fairly quick to level and allows the use of low-level use of many other Subclasses.
>Low-level Chef, Seamstress, Farmer, Brewmaster, Dairy farmer and Herbalist skills
If you weren't on when Kalimdor crashed you didn't experience the true opening on the gates
Rune Factory MMO?
>gain xp for maintaining crops and animals
>order monster farmhands into automating the work for you
>get income from nearby towns for supplying food
She bought her account
There's a ton of em where I live. An entire island really.
That shit was huge on Everquest back in the day because leveling up was a huge pain in the ass.
The Apocalypse happens in your MMO of choice, you turn into the first character you log in to.
How fucked are you?
>in b4 someone logs in with a bank alt.
>Guild Wars 1
>Sylvari PvE Thief with 200% MF gear
I'm fucked alright.
The last MMO I played was WOW around half a year after Cata came out. I'd be pretty fucked to get stuck back now more than a whole expansion later. I have no idea how talents and roles have changed since I last played my holy paladin.
If WoW was as alive as Elder Tale is in LH, it would be pretty cool.
Cat was beta only?
looks like Kannagi armor
guild wars 2 warrior 'tank' hammer and mace/shield combo.
he serves as an elaborate distraction while other people do damage. probably lives though.
Bermuda. They generally have green eyes too.
>RO Renewal Mage
If only the xp wasn't gimped for Mi Gaos, I'd have a easier time going Sage > Professor > Sorcerer.
if you come back you can reassign your gear stats cause they deleted magic find gear.
>balking at him after seeing Nyanta
FFXI. Get sent onto the character with almost all jobs unlocked, several mil in gil, housing is literally free. I'm fairly safe although to hell with all the death i'd have to deal with actually fighting mobs. Easier to fight weak stuff for a bunch of money.
Are you shitting me? Also, MF gear brought me like 3g per dungeon with gear sales and shit, I've literally filled my whole backpack each run.
But you want that good wood to be crafted before getting all varnished and slippery
>Level 85 human mage
>created in 2005
Would be a similar situation as Shiroe actually, except I'm not a super strategist
I'd actually be pretty happy and would probably spend most of my time in mage towers working on my spells or just sitting next to a lake in Elwynn Forest.
Are you above the age of 60?
"Alright, anon, you sit down on the spindle sander while I use this rasp on your dowel rod."
no, I'm 25
I mean I guess I could go out and fight things but I wouldn't feel like testing if death is permanent or not
>Picturing my member as a raw, thick, unrefined piece of wood ready to be crafted
Liters of sap will flow
>tfw bard kiting werewolf's in PoN
I miss my bard, I've never have found a class with so much versatility in an mmo than an EQ bard.
I'd rather do as based Krusty and find myself a qt 3.14 NPC princess.
>sitting next to a lake in Elwynn Forest.
I'm not sure that many of those exist in azeroth
...come to think of it, the only princess I can recall ever being mentioned in Warcraft was from a pen and paper roleplaying game. How bizarre.
He's mean but not much of a challenge to an 85 mage. Bad news for the poor saps who got trapped at 10 or below though
I think I would spend my time crafting, being a legitimate black smith sounds more hype than clicking boxes and menus and watching animation.
The last MMO I played with Tera, so I guess that, since I've practically never touched WoW
I'm stuck as a big blue dragon man with a horn pompadour and a giant axe. I guess I can try and stick it in all the Elins
Oh I was talking about shitty Lineage 2. Yeah I used to play that a lot back in the days. My waifu would be a stunning dwarf little girl
>I am now a female gnome in WoW
>Big Male Half-orc Cleric in pink armor.
>The bard should have known though.
Didn't she just start using the free trial period and is new to the game too?
I didn't read the LNs but from what these anons saying, yes.
>tfw you will never be a tough, seasoned, muscular but good-natured blacksmith in a small village where all the women love you
but yeah, crafting in MMOs needs a fuckload of work
>Be lvl 21 KFM
>All these chinks around me
>These monsters are too hard
>I can't mob
>Too autistic to party with other people
>I wan't to go home
>At least i have big boobs and a nice ass
Too bad everything past Interlude was shit.
Bladedancer best class.
>/a/ discusses videogames better than /v/ does
>L42 Fury Stance Hunter/Fighter
How's Blade and Soul? Anything special needed to play? How large is it?
>have tons of dosh and gear
>still jewing soulshots and scamming people in ALL the towns
Jewing has never been so much fun
But hes in Stockades now.
The face of an angel.
>Moe as fuck female Puppeteer
I couldn't have asked for a better character.
>How's Blade and Soul?
It's pretty good.
>Anything special needed to play?
Any program that enhances your ping because chink servers.
>How large is it?
If your talking about the english its small or maybe theres just a lot of chinks in the game.
I am now an immortal space ship pilot, but half of my assets would be on other characters.
Either that or I'm a qt3.14 necromancer in guild wars 2.
By large I meant the download and install
>Scrub immortal ship pilot, who does little other than exploration
Or, my old GW2 elementalist. But I haven't touched the game in months.
Yup. Isuzu just tried out the game since a friend gave her a free trial pass. It was even mentioned that she was the type to quit ET once the pass expires. She was just unlucky when the Great Disaster happened.
I think I'd actually be willing to test out permadeath. If I didn't respawn I'd never know, if I did I'd be one step up the ladder of being a goddamn legend.
Just 8GB plus patches not that big.
True I guess
In WoW you have to go grab your corpse as a ghost, though, which means that if you end up dying surrounded by mobs getting out could be a painful process
ET players have it easy by reviving in a nice safe chapel
Yeeaahh, I know what you're talkin' about. To act as a surrogate sister.
I would give her a childish nickname and put my hand on her head. I would do that all night long.
The 3 camp leaders could not find the right words to say momentarily. Serara said in a clear voice
"I am in charge of the beginners in Crescent Moon Alliance, so, because of that, I registered all of them on my friend list, right? Isuzu also registered them, right?"
"Y, yeah. Of course."
"Hmmm, yeah, of course!"
So they are the beginners from cresent moon attending the camp.
WoW doesn't really have an Enchanter equivalent. The closest parallel would be vanilla Paladins.
>tfw keeping a raid of 40 buffed with 5-minute buffs
If you were doing Tribute runs, wouldn't you have gotten kicked off once the run completed and you tried to exit DM?
>Set chat macros to all your long cooldown spells.
>Everyone in the group tells you to knock it off within ten minutes.
support shammys... more or less
They made Magic Find an account wide stat you level up by salvaging items.
Alien-worshiping cult member with a penchant for jetpacks and hovering tanks.
Would kinda suck. The game is a sausage party (there aren't even that many G.I.R.L.s), no interesting NPCs, no real lore to speak of. Just you and a few thousand other assholes and a bunch of empty, meaningless bases. There's a good chance the fighting would halt immediately if there was any pain associated with it.
>destroy 25% of the memories carried in your brain
Instance Servers are separate from the World Servers.
>Now that Star Wars Galaxies is gone, there will never be an MMO with as much attention put into crafting as an Atelier title.
Overskill or autism?
I would be a orc shaman so no,I would not be fucked.
FOR THE TRUE HORDE
>stars visible on the dark part of the moon
Holy fuck, it's not actually changing its physical shape and turning into a crescent, you know.
Now I wonder how many anime/drawings make this mistake.
Autisim, it's basically why he was famous. This is the sort of game where you need a guy keeping track of everything and yelling what to do, so you avoid wiping because all the healers are almost low on MP and the boss is going to do a couple of big AOEs in 10s
>RO Renewal Mage
Jesus Christ how horrifying. I tried playing a Renewal server and quit when level 10 Firebolt couldn't one shot monsters weak to fire.
Almost all of them, but they're just cartoons so we cut them some slack.
Actually, the animators don't really care about things like drawing stars on the dark part of the moon. And don't tell me about the constellations. They're drawing stars like freckles in the sky.
suddenly not dying in an unreachable location becomes far more critical
Shit, anon, my blunder of a character is salvageable after all.
When is Lazy Princess getting some crusty Krusty dick?
>Level 80 item
Wow, GW2 characters must be poor as shit.
>Level 100 Kagerou in ro.
Could be worse. At least I have some good gear.
I stopped playing MMO a long time ago, but it'll probably be EVE I'm be some RR support bitch.
2.2M SP Gallente Pilot, with about 800m isk
I'll just retire to a gallente homeworld in highsec
LotRO bards were also pretty fun even though the game went down the shitter after the second expansion.
Last MMO I played was the WoW trial thing, so I'd end up as a level 10 undead warrior. I'm all kinds of fucked.
>essentially immortal space pilot with liquid cash for several military battleships
>wanting to retire
Why? The whole galaxy is at your fingertips, and you want to live on a fucking plane--
Ok, I understand perfectly.
>Free Trial player
>can't level past 20 ever
After the Goblin King invasion. During it, she shows up to speak to him in a lull in the fighting, and spends a good page or so monologuing about how she likes the way he's all sweaty and pouring cold water on himself when his armour is off.
Its not really an MMO but its the closest thing I played, so I guess not too bad. At least I have a closet full of shit I can throw around
forgot my pic
>tfw no good MMO to enjoy with a tight-knit group of awesome friends
Lvl. 90 white-furred death cow in WoW. Would kind of suck since I wouldn't be able to fuck anybody (willingly). But it would be pretty sweet to be that huge with that much muscle mass. Would also be cool to just be able to don some badass armor and recklessly swing around a giant 2-handed sword.
This is probably one of the nerdiest things I'll ever say, but holy shit I would fuck me some irl Draenai chicks, dayum.
Closest thing to a MMO I've been playing lately is DayZ. Mite be cool.
I think more RPGs should make you restart at lvl 1 if u die.
Just wait, one of these days there will be a world-class sandbox MMO with a good narrative that's not mind-numbing for difficult enough to scare off scrubs. It'll come and it'll be glorious.
>no Debauchery Tea Party adventures
>not difficult enough to scare off scrubs
It's going to be full of casuals then
>forced to live dayz for the rest of eternity
how long before I go insane from clipping through the map and falling to my death time and time again?
Alternatively I'd be a level 70-80 white haired cutie pie female Knight in RO, riding a PecoPeco everywhere and just fucking things up in general.
Nope, enjoy your Destiny.
see my correction
I meant difficult enough to scare off scrubs but not dark souls/ragequit difficult
No reason you can have a few story lines flowing around. You can also have plenty of background lore in a sandbox game.
It hasn't really been done much but it's not impossible.
How does Shiroe have sex with Akatsuki? He's so tall by comparison.
She'll work it out.
Maybe she's already had sex with him, and her Sneak and Silent Move is just too high for him to detect it.
All things are relative, anon. While players in GW2 may not have millions of gold like in other games, items are also not as expensive.
Pretty sure he'd find out when he ejaculates.
never because Log Horizon has shit character design so no one wants to see them have sex
then again MMY got a few doujins
Why has nobody bought Akihabara's cathedral? I just got spoiled off the internet that somebody bought the cathedral in their "home base" city and uses it to blacklist Adventurers and prevent them from respawning (permadeath?) if they argue with her policies. Since all the buildings are up for grabs, and everybody has to know what sort of shit Shiroe can do with ownership of the Guild Building, why has nobody tried to get the Cathedral? Like one of the Guilds? If a lone crafting guild can front up 5 million without particular problems, the Cathedral can't be much more.
Seems like there'd be a rush for somebody to buy the Cathedral and any other important stuff. Is the outside-area in Akihabara a zone as well?
While he sleeps?
I think Nureha did.
Believe anon, when Archeage comes out it will be nyanderfull.
>single crafting guild buy cathedral and demands payment for anyone who doesn't want to permadie.
>Shiro blacklists them from the guild hall, removing their access to everything in their banks.
>They have to carry all of their belongings on them.
>If they leave town, people kill them for it.
>Akihabara rots in a stalemate as the crafting guild members can't leave town without losing everything and others can't leave town without fear of permadeath
It wouldn't really be profitable for anyone.
All aboard for inevitable disappointment.
If player towns are possible in the ET world, it would be simple to establish independent cathedrals. The guild building is a necessary purchase because it provides complete, unparalleled safety to banking, guild banks, and guild halls. That kind of protection isn't necessary in a cathedral, if individuals and guilds can just fund the construction of public shrines around the region.
All that does is kick people out of the cathedral once they respawn. And once they get blacklisted, unless they pulled everything beforehand, they'll just fail to pay the upkeep on the cathedral and lose controll of it.
No, actually. If they're blacklisted from the Cathedral, then they can't respawn there, because it counts as entering the zone. Nureha >>100096634
bought the one in her town, and the people she blacklists have not respawned to her knowledge. It sent her a bit into the crazy side of the scale.
What makes you say that?
No, she bought the area around the cathedral, so she traps the people who respawn inside the cathedral. Otherwise she couldn't extort them/make them join her guild.
She owns the Cathedral building itself. Got the money from her Overskill getting all the Landers on her side, so they funded it.
>no class that can teleport people
>no way for players to manually teleport to other locations by waystone or other device
what a crock of bullshit
There's call of home, but I think it ports you to the cathedral
Adventurers get the Call of Home spell. If they respawn in the Cathedral and can't leave, then they could just use Call of Home and have to trek all the way to another city. Which could take a while, but it's doable.
Don't Frodo shit if you know nothing about the show. There were teleporters, fairy rings, and a return to town skill when it was a game. Now that it's not:
Teleporters: Don't work.
Fairy Rings: No way to know where they'll send you as it's random, and they have fixed locations so you can't get to them from the cathedral.
Return to town skill: Returns you to the citadel, doesn't solve the problem.
Lands you just outside the front gate. Shown in episode 9 or something.
>implying any of us are fucked
>have enough gold to live in absolute luxury forever
>enjoy actual fighting
>nothing to miss irl
>major guild official
>treated like a hero by npcs
>able to use magic
>not dieing even if you are killed
>all the girls are actually good looking
>experimenting with game mechanics as reality
>making a mess out of the rules of the world
>adjusting my glasses every 3 seconds
i want to live in the databasewowwow;_;
I dunno, getting trapped in a zombie MMO seems more on the level of getting trapped in an MMO based on Attack on Titan.
>Elin Slayer in TERA
Pretty fucked, in the most literal sense of the word.
If I had a level 90 in Elder Tale and got hit with the Catastrophe, I'd probably be over the moon. I get a superpowerful body, can't die permanently - okay, some memory loss, but as long as I'm careful, I'm level 90! - I get things like telepathy, guild halls, and Landers fawning over me to try and get me on side.
Hard to see the downside, really. Especially if I can bring all my knowledge of this world into the game.
B-But anon, that's lewd!
Tell me more.
I've played so many MMOs that I can't even decide.
Probably LOTRO, even if I don't have a max level character. That game world is just so lovely and comfortable.
Well, the closest thing to start with would be my mount, Arcadian Dapple.
I'd mount it until I get knocked up.
>elin horse fucker
Ain't that the best?
