Well /a/ I just watched Kimagure Orange Road for the first time, films and all. It was fucking magical. If you enjoy a good romcom like I do, this is essential. I imagine many tropes we still see today were born in this show. It also has some great music and that 1980s charm. Hikaru a shit

I should mention the manga is great as well. Reading the ending of the manga really fills in what the films and anime missed.

I tried watching Maison Ikkoku because it is a romcom from the 80s as well, but I ended up dropping it. It actually reminded me of Honey and Clover, which I fucking hated.

I'm still looking for shows similar to KOR, however; I found White Album 2 from last season to be freakishly similar to KOR. Both Ayukawa and Touma are expert Saxophone players apparently. And Setsuna and Hikaru are both annoying cocksluts

Maybe you can try some Adachi stuff.

Miyuki looks interesting. I might pick that up. Not too big on the sports manga though.
