what was your first anime?
Yu Yu Hakusho.
Cowboy Beepity Bop
I remember seeing some anime when I was little, but I have no way of finding out what it was. I'd have to say sailor moon, because it was popular at the time.
I want to say DBZ but it was probably something like Pokemon
I been watching anime for as long as I remember, so I can't tell which one was the first one, maybe Astro Boy? or some robot anime?
I dunno, I was like, what? too young to remember.
I dunno, but it could very well be Heidi. I watched it as a kid and I loved it. Such a great anime.
The first anime I consciously saw was Orphen, but I saw your standard Toonami fare since it was on TV.
Fighting evil by Moonlight~
Maya the bee. Watched it in the early 90ies in russian dub.
so many 1990+ kids here... I feel so old
Wasn't that German?
My first ever anime was Doraemon but I didn't watch it much. There was also Dragon Ball but I didn't watch that much either. First anime I fully watched was actually Lucky Star
> French dojin song
I wish someone could translate that.
It was a japanese animation based on german books for children. it aired in a lot of countries, including russian speaking ones (ukraine in my case)
austrian japanese german co production
>>Lolicon's first anime
Akazukin Chacha or "Redriding hood Chacha" for eigoverse
>>also Yakko first waifu
Not sure if it was Doraemon or Fist of The North Star.

Dragon Ball was the first one I actively enjoyed
That crap (Tom Sawyer, Heidi, Marco, Calimero, Maya Bee) was horrible even back then
My first encounter with anime characters was actually from a hentai game Dragon Knight 3 when i was 10.
Went on to watch pokemon.
how can you say that about those classics? I cant remember it myself but my mother tells me I threw tantrums every time I couldnt watch maya the bee for some reason.
dat rap OP...
Idk, not enough ACTION for 90's taste
In which language?
fuck action. are you a shounen-shit or something? when you have kids of your own you will appreciate all those great productions teaching them friendship and how to be nice.
Street Fighter the Anime, still got it on VHS somewhere.
I'm probably showing my age, but I watched Speed Racer as a kid.
If you are a male kid, chances are you'll like shonen-shit more than SoL
also >implying DB doesn't teach the same values in a different way
THIS FUCKING BEE WITH HIS TEARJERKER JOURNEY AND DUBBED OP
Boko no Pikachu
SOL is a genre for youths in the puberty anyway. the really small kids, regardless of gender still can enjoy heidi and dont need explosions, violence etc
Either Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon or some anime about a little witch that I can't remember the name of.
Oh fuck me, Biene Mayja.
Fucking Willi was such a lazy nigger holy shit.
Ranma 1/2. With subs (and japanese voice) love hina
Sailar Moon and Little Norse Prince are also early memories.
The first anime I watched was Akira. My dad showed it to me when I was about 9 or so.
Didn't actually get into anime until I saw Eva a few years back.
Kiki's Delivery Service.
My mom was a big Candy candy fan so I wouldn't be surprised if she showed it to me as a baby.
Doraemon, Maya the Bee or Umi no Triton
Damn, I loved Candy Candy too. Send my regards to your mom.
Terry Grandchester might have been my husbando if I knew what it meant when I was seven.

why wouldn't it?
nice to meet you Dlyrem
Hamtaro my nigga
Reading subs since I was a kid.
Probably your pic, OP. I'm almost sure I saw it before Captain Future, which would be the only other possibility.
Alfred J. Kwak probably. And I didn't understand anything of it at the time.
I think that's the catch, if one watches Heidi or Maya at age 3 or 4, it will be received more favorably than watching it at age 14, I'd guess.
anyone remeber this ad?
Go speed racer.
Go speed racer.
Go speed racer gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
The first one I recall seeing was Sailor Moon which I wasn't very into. Pokemon was the first anime I really enjoyed.

Dat soap opera drama.
Rosemary is how you do a soap opera villain.
How did you not quit on anime immediately aftewards? Everything must have felt like a let down when you raise the bar so high so early.
It's a good anime aimed mostly at children. It does well in its intent, and that's all it needs to be.
It is certainly miles ahead of every generic cartoon the young kids of today are watching.
>It is certainly miles ahead of every generic cartoon the young kids of today are watching.
What do Jap kids watch nowadays anyways? Only the usual half-hour commercial shows?
Honey Bee Hutch
>Lelouch and Nunnally meet Suzaku.jpg

Either this or Starzinger in the Swedish dub.
Is this an anime about how 4 girls raise to fight the collapse of the bubblegum industry?
There's a bake sale involved, it was quite a poignant moment in my life.
I'm not 100% positive but I'm pretty sure it was Ronin Warriors.
