Seems like Miura has finally given up on finishing Berserk.
Thanks for nothing.
A manga that's consecutive! I didn't think something like that existed!
Why do Japs fail at finishing shit they start?
It was going nowhere anyway
Been like that since pearl harbor.
This. Miura was pretty much out of ideas after the ship set sail.
That ship has already sailed, anon.
I'm wondering why doesn't he try his best to tie it up and just... you know, end it?
I'm willing to bet it goes even further back.
Next chapter fucking when
Over 9000 yrs.
inb4 they get shipwrecked on an evil island
inb4 island survival arc
inb4 island tournament arc
inb4 flashback arc
inb4 they finally get to wherever they were going and learn the bad guy choked to death on a chicken wing
What's the trigger for downloading this from the IRC? Giving me no info.
Because it would take a shit ton of chapters to actually finish. He's introducted too many players, not counting everyone involved in the Neo Band of the Hawk, there's still the fairy queen that has to be seen and what not, from a story perspective Griffith becoming the Hawk of Light makes for about 2/3 of the whole thing, if he rushed his potential fall from grace he would still need about an entire arc's worth of chapters for the conclussion.
what is this and why does say things in greek too?
wasn't this the guy who got deployed everywhere around the world
then he should be doing that instead of introducing new characters and plotlines
Why Miura doesn't give up everything and start doing manga about cute girls doing cute thing?
In addition, we haven't even seen what half of God Hand can do. At this point Miura has established the power of the main antagonist, but not the power of the people behind the curtain, plus Miura opened a whole new can of worms after Kushan's Emperor got axed and basically spawned even more mythological beasts into the Berserk world. We've definetly reached the peak of the climax, but the slope's so fucking long.
Griffisu shows up, apologizes and everyone has a pie throwing party.
>first Berserk episode after all this time
>God Hands flashbacks kick in
Because they would all die terribly.
You know it would happen.
>implying he couldn't just end it in one chapter if he wanted to
If he's that burned out and dissatisfied with the series, it's better for him to slam down an ending and lay it to rest.
People would thought about him as some disgusting lolicon.
I think Miura is suffering from Kishimoto syndrome, when he doesn't know what to do with all that plot he has, he just introduces new characters for the sake of showing off SOMETHING and hoping he can use them someday to lead into the finale.
>Griffith suddenly arrives on the ship
>Sees autistic Casca, with a single finger snap she regains her memories
>"Hey Guts, let's have a beer and talk for a while"
>He talks about how guilty he feels about the apocalypse and how he intends to make up for it by building a real-life utopia with the powers he gained
>Deletes the mark on both him and Casca
>Goes away saying "if you feel like forgiving me in the future, drop by my office one of these days
Why did I even write apocalypse, I meant eclipse
It's worse than that. Kishimoto has only an extremely simple plot left and is probably being pushed by his editors to drag it out as long as possible. I mean, both Obito and Madara getting huge boss battles? It's redundant!
Miura has to write out the entire scenario of the final battle himself. Comparing his scenario to Naruto's, Guts is just arriving on the giant tortoise for the Kyuubi training. The ungodly long final battle still awaits.
Just read this chapter, you don't need anything from the backstory. Just read it and tell me how an ending that's basically 'And the journey continues' would make the readers feel. Though, Double Arts was more of a 'lol cancelled' than actual burn out but still an ending as fast as this one left a pretty bitter taste and that's just gonna be multiplied and intensified for something as grand as Berserk.
>not an apocalypse
it sorta was
I knew that statue head seemed familiar.
It's actually Cyrillic
"This just in, plane ticket sales for Japanese airlines have skyrocketed in the last 24 hours. People from around the globe are lining up with concealed weapons and pitchforks chanting what is assumed to be the name person that has yet to be indentified, simply known as Me-uh-ra."
Woah what is this, some sort of Future is Wild type manga? By the artist of Berserk? Holy cow!
At least release the rest of Berserk in novel form.
Are you kidding? Miura already laywed out most of the groundwork until the ending.
Just a decade or two and we might have gotten near the point where Berserk gets to be the best thing ever made.
i guess its time to jump on the titan craze
But he needs new characters and powers on Guts' side for him to have a chance against Griffith.
It's a mini you dumb shits. 6 chapters only.
What? No it isn't. It says "battle of the giants , by Miura Kentaurou" it capital new greek
I've been following Berserk for years and years...
Though I've invested this much time in it, I have come to terms that we'll never get a true ending as was originally intended.
Muira spends too much time jerking aronud playing idolmaster to be a proper mangaka.
Casca has been retarded for 17 years guys.
The crew has been on the ship for about 7 years.
It's never ending.
As a newfag, I have some questions about berserk. My main being, how the fuck did they even get on the fucking boat in the first place? The last we heard of Guts and his gang was that they were searching for Farnese and Casca, who were just about to be encircled by a bunch of trolls. Then we got a Guts flashback and after that they're all magically alive and well and are on a boat for some reason whilst talking about some elf character who they've supposedly met we have never seen before. Can someone please explain?
I don't see why Griffith can't be nice to them his already got his dream.
>It's been over 7 years since Slan molested Guts
Going to Elf Island so they can unretard Caska
Ah, you're right, they look similar at a glance.
It helps if you read all the chapters.
I thought they were just travelling there in order to find a safe place to lay low? since the cave got destroyed.
Blame Mitsuhide for killing Nobunaga
I have read all the available chapters on Baoto. I don't know if the chapter order is messed up, but it goes from 25 to 37.
It's the boat of Farnese's fiancée. There aren't actually much chapters on the boat. But because of the release schedule it seems long.
>I don't know if the chapter order is messed up, but it goes from 25 to 37.
Try reading 26-36.
Okay then, I've definitely missed some chapters. Fucking baoto. Well at least this mans I have more catching up to look forward to.
that as well
>My main being, how the fuck did they even get on the fucking boat in the first place?
There's thousands of ship, they just took one that belonged to the family.
It was the special ship of Roderick iirc, all the ships were docked there for the upcoming battle.
>Can someone please explain?
It's a flashback, Miura got bored and wanted to make child Guts again because why the fuck not.
It also explains why Guts hated Puck the first time they met.
I gave up on Berserk in 2007 because I couldn't deal with the waiting time.
Recently looked into it to see how far it has progressed.
I would like to write "and nothing of value was lost" but that would be a lie. It had so much potential. Miura is a faggot hack, in fact most asians - particularly Japs have no fucking sense for pacing WHATSOEVER. Be it movies, books, etc. They always get lost somewhere along the way in mundane shit, circlejerk in it like pigs in their own shit for years and finish it (if at all) with a sudden TWEEST ending that has been done and referenced to death in other works.
Thanks for the answer but disregard that question, as I now realize I'm just a retard who missed a bunch of chapters. However if you could explain the whole demon baby business I'd be grateful. I thought it disappeared/died, but apparently it went inside casca and was protecting her when she came across danger? If he was using her a host, then why did he suddenly come out of her? I mean I get after that he grew stronger by absorbing all those peoples deaths and somehow was reincarnated as Griffith?
That shit is to be expected of any continuous long-running story from anywhere. Webcomics suffer huge pacing issues too.
I wouldn't fuck with that nerd.
Well first he has to learn about the power of love during the "Guts helps a bunch of young girls become idols" arc
Caska's original demon child split into two parts: An essence of humanity went into Griffith so he could enter the real world. At the same time a part of Griffith went into the human child that now protected Caska and later turned into the child with long hair.
Pretty sure I killed the guy on the left in Beyonetta.
The only forces exerted on mangaka are their publishers, which only tell them to never stop. No one is telling them how to pace their shit, so they get burnt out.
future sci fi? gay. should be high school loli club slice of life...teeheehehe
I burned out after Guts killed all those angel mutants and Griffith came back riding Zodd. At this point I don't even feel like continuing, especially if there may not even be anything after 37.
Except actually even worse.
Gunnerkrigg court is a HUGE offender
>hurr let me have a two or more month long hugely decompressed arc showing that a character is actually REALLY fucking old and take as many pages as possible to do so
It was awful. Webcomic artists cannot into compression or decompression, you release like, a page or two a week, get the story going somewhere asshat.
Sage for stupid /co/shit.
It's like before the holidays all over again. Pissing lolis is where it's at now.
What if the boat just sinks and it ends.
I wonder what he's gonna do when this comic ends, considering he still has a contract and all
They have a mermiad
>the boat ride will NEVER end
That wasn't even particularly good. Still better than that Berserk seafood arc though.
I wonder how sales for Berserk/ranking in Young Animal at the point even work. I wonder if he pulls a Togashi and is still a high selling manga despite pretty infrequent releases. Muira must have some sort of contract that he can choose when he wants to finish it because I doubt he'll get cancelled if he hasn't by now. I mean, he deserves to have that kind of say over his story given the way it started and how good it was, but still.
It's why Oda or Toriyama are so highly valued as mangaka. They don't fuck around half as much with what they created and actually don't have to pull twists to make a stale premise interesting like other authors.
I don't get it.
I think he's getting Araki treatment, where he can just do whatever the fuck he wants because of his popularity. Though, in contrast to Miura, Araki actually enjoys what he's doing. That man was born to be an artist.
koreans are even worse
Did Miura say he's quitting on Berserk or are we simply assuming so since he's starting on a new manga? Not that he's indicated that he'll ever finish it tho..
He never said that, and he's supposed to go back to Berserk after six months of this new thing.
Probably after another hiatus, of course.
He's good friends with the author of Fairy Tail and there were talks that Mashima would take over for Miura to continue Berserk when Miura ded/retired.
This was BEFORE Fairy Tail became a colossal hit though and Mashima would be dumb to ever stop his cash cow. Berserk is dead.
Fairy Tail will be over long before Berserk is, though.
Hell, at this rate it could be over before Berserk starts up again!
>Berserk by Mashima
but think of the rape!
berserk written by miura drawn by murata editted by hiramoto's assistants would save berserk
It's gonna be fanservice kek rape. Not Berserk rape.
How would you save HxH?
Right, because Berserk had no delicious rape before.
Fuck Mashima and his shitty copies of One Piece.
Why doesn't Miura just quit proffesional manga and make Idolm@ster doujin instead?
Clearly, that's what he was put on this Earth to do.
Despite all warning signs I've been reading Berserk for the past few weeks and loving it. Just finished off the Chain Knights arc or whatever it's called- the one after Lost Children, it involves a rape horse. Eventually I will be up to date, and allegedly Miura is supposed to be continuing it after this mini series. Of course, I have no hope that one can hold him to that vow, but in the minimal chance that he's not lying then this is probably the best time to pick it up I think.
>Just a decade or two
Soooo, three new chapters?
He only needs his Dragon Slayer Sword and an opening. He has Skull Knight after all, so I guess ther emight be a chance.
Yoshihiro Togashi should hire ONE as full time artist part time writer.
You'll love everything after the Rape Horse, especially once the quasi-Ottoman empire comes rollling. Then you'll hate it for never continuing.
It's already announced, were you living under a rock?
february you goddamn retards
It already ain't
the second chapter already got pushed back.
Where the hell is his neck?
I feel bad for you guys who have followed it for years and years; I only read it this past summer.
I will never regret getting into Berserk during my teenage years. This is a work that has affected me more than most. Reading the Eclipse for the first time isn't quite the same when you've been spoilered to death, and Berserk discussion on /a/ nowadays is only a bunch of boat and idolm@ster comments. People who tentatively start getting into Berserk now probably can't understand or enjoy it the same way.
Guys, I think we are reaching Berserk last arc.
Griffith is a magical girl now. With all the unicorns and magical creatures revolving in the world.
And now Guts is going to the Idolmaster island. There he is going to make a deal with the king.
Guts will defeat Griffith with the power of a thousand loli/shota elves
Add the black pest and let nature do its work.
Who is this guy? He reminds me of that guy from Ghost Busters movie, the nerdy one.
western furry artists are the worst
