ITT We list anime we think others should see
Can you help a guy find a new anime to watch?
I like anime but I am looking for a new anime to watch and have really only seen the popular ones. (Naruto/Bleach/One Piece/DBZ/FMA/Kenshin/Yu Yu Hakusho/Sword Art online/Samurai Jack/Hellsing/Code Geass/DeathNote/etc)
I have only seen three fan service ones. Panty and Stocking, HOTD, and Ladies VS Butlers and although I enjoyed them (the first two more so) I would prefer action ones. (Also I am just really creeped out by loli anything)
(I am a sucker for well choreographed fight scenes like in Dragon Ball, early Naruto, and Avatar the last airbender, certain parts of FMA)
Please include a description of why the show is good. Thanks.
Boku no Pico.
Tell me about it.
Ninomiya-kun to Sensei.
A really enjoyable series. Even though the story has forbidden love, the MC and his student's heart calls for each other's name every time.
It's perfect for you.
Why? Can you tell me a bit about it?
Eat shit and die
And ruin the surprise?
You're no fun anon
Because boku no pico, unlike this thread, DOES NOT VIOLATE THE GODDAMNED RULES.
I don't know about a romance. I mean I did enjoy Sword Art Online like a lot. (Or at least I really liked the first season) Can you tell me a little bit about it?
>Panty and Stocking
>Mainly about fanservice as to be called "fanservice anime"
Just stop making threads
Boku no Pico
...It's full of loli isn't it...
>Boku no Pico
Boku no Pico (ぼくのぴこ Boku no Piko, lit. Pico's Deconstruction) is a is a critically acclaimed and award-winning OVA series produced in 2006 by Madhouse (Hellsing Ultimate, Death Note, Paranoia Agent, The Animatrix), written by Hiromu Arakawa (Fullmetal Alchemist) and directed by Nakamura Kenji (Big O, Serial Experiments Lain, Mononoke). The series consists of three episodes, as well as a one-shot manga chapter, an upcoming computer game and a video compilation of the highly acclaimed music by Yoko Kanno, The Pillows and a bonus video with the ED by Kalafina. Because of the high cost of producing anime, the characters and contents were intensively product-tested before production began. The series explores several philosophical concepts including existentialism, loneliness, and the struggle humans experience while growing up in an ever changing world.
The series also references battles from wars like the Anglo-Spanish wars and the Franco-Prussian wars.
Despite it having certain adult content hidden, it's actually an enjoyable watch for everyone, kids included, and it can be described as a light hearted series despite it having so much military content. The ending is considered bittersweet and mind-blowing by the critics and most of the fanbase .
Nope, no loli, I promise you.
Making recommendation threads is not allowed.
Please leave /a/ and never come back.
Just go fucking watch it.
This thread breaks the rules and you'd do better to either use google in the future or learn to not make dumbass threads.
Whatever. It was close enough.
Oh wow, this does sound good then. And it is only three episodes? Then even if I don't like it I can give a shot since it will only take up like an hour of my life.
Any other suggestions since this one won't keep me occupied long?
Try musashi gundoh, it's a masterpiece.
Bible Black, a deconstruction of religious anime
Action bastard is a real thing?
You might as well watch ro-kyu-bu
Very fun sports anime
Character development heavy
It's a dark, supernatural-noir thriller, I'm sure you'll love it.
You should try something more lighthearted after boku no pico.
I recommend Dragon Crisis! and Ryusei Sentai Musumet.
Oh yea I have seen a preview for that one on some of the anime I rented back when Block Buster was a thing and I still actually rented things. I will have to give it a go.
Red did nothing wrong
It's a softcore romance between two friends. One works as a waitress on roller skates, and the other I forget. They are close friends, and witness someone's sister doing something kinky. This sparks interest in both of them, and they fall in love. It's cute as shit, has great voice acting and music, and despite its age, it has excellent development in both story and character.
There. It's so damn popular because of all of this.
Of course you did.
Can you tell me just a bit about them? (and include the name since I am won't know who is responding)
You're thinking of something else, it sounds closer to Mars of Destruction
Boku no Pico was this>>100012047
It's about the Rind et al. controversy. Very deep.
I don't even follow rules. I'm such a badass. Watch out for me fegs. Fight me IRL if you don't like it. <3
Where is the fun at that?
Joking aside, you should watch the shows recommended in this threads first (they're basically "entry level") and abandon this thread before a douche spoils them.
After watching, you should try lurking the board. A new season just started so you can check the threads for everything airing.
If we fight IRL, I'm using mai raifu.
Also, you should fuck off
Thanks yea. I have been browsing /b/ for a long time and am finally branching out to /fit/ and /co/ and thought I should do /a/ as well and already know that a DBZ/Naruto/One Piece casual like me has nothing to contribute.
Sounds fair, I will just use my karate tough guy. Also eat my dick cheese this thread isn't hurting you.
Let me guess, you also trained with a katana that was folded a million times, right?
What you are doing is called "Blatantly ignoring the rules" and "Shitposting"
I know that this is too much for your small mind to handle all at once, but those things are frowned upon here.
Don't bother, this shit happens daily
