Running into this odd lighting? Any ideas? I smoothed shaded everything and just seems to be a line where the face is? I cannot seem to figure out why this is occurring
Did you try checking or recalculating your normals?
>>711035because your topology is shit
>>711035Did you try using the FUCKING QUESTION THREAT? Also this >>711040
>>711035That's only a 3d package thing got to do with normals. Max is the worst for this. It would look ok in engine or ingame.
>>711035Check your smoothing groups
>>711035Remove the 6-pole
>>711040He's right, your topology sucks. There are more problems with the "lighting" than just that line. The closer you look at it the more you'll see that it's fucked.Just learn about proper topology and start again. Don't listen to anyone else in the thread, messing with the normals won't fix it you'll just waste a bunch of time pissing about and have to start again anyway.
I'm assuming this is blender? disable smooth shading
>>711035Split the polygons by hand. Software doesn't know how to deal with twisted/slanted quads like that.>>711040>>711051>>711056>>711058>>711062>>711073Love how these guys don't know shit and just throw around some terms they've heard.
>>711035lmao that bevel, is this the power of blender?face weight those normals for a quick bandaid fix
>>711089This is the right answer
