Should I even go into 3D?I feel like it's a very interesting field, but unless you have years of experience, you can't do real money and will have a shitty life.Would you even start learning 3D in this day and age?
>>710504Just started, im 30, have 0 experience, its the best paid job i had so far and i spend all day watching streams and comedy shows on one screen while i model random barrels, rocks and shit on the other. Also the fuck you mean no money. Name a single other better paid industry with no entry requirements.
>>710510>while i model random barrels, rocks and shitHow did you get into such a job?I feel like "create a blank cube" has requirements like "worked 5 years as senior artist" and all people applying have done photorealistic, animated characters which would put every game studio to shame.
>>710510What company, I am in a similar boat aside from having a job part. How do you look for jobs in this field?
>>710532You just have to lower your standards, you can make an income making props and uploading them to multiple 3d model websites like turbosquid or shapeways
>>710543Can you tell me more about this? Does this work in a similar manner as stock photography, I did stock photo for a little while
>>710504If you love it, do you have a choice? There's so much work that needs to be doneSo many screens that need content.Learn it if you love it, don't if you don't.
>>710510lmao
>>710545I'm not sure how it works with stock images but basically you just upload models in multiple platforms so more people see them and buy them.If you are consistent/good enough people will buy your stuff more often, as simple as that
>>710565how much money do you make per month this way?
>>710553Exactly what I was thinking.
I'd at least say try it out as a hobby and slowly learn the tools. If you get good enough, maybe you can try to manage your time and do commissions or sell some sample models online. If you have interest, it's a fun thing to do. If you don't like doing it as a hobby I wouldn't try it.
>>710504it's great, but if you are second/third worlder, working for a company does not relies on your country's economy is pretty solidif you are a first worlder, lol, why would you bother with this shitty industry, you can do so much cooler and healthy shit than this
>>710565can you link your 3d model on any platform?
>>710724such as?
>>711000pretty much anything even garbage collectors in the west live better than doctors and lawmen in the east
>>711085>just be garbageman brodon't take advice from this domain people
>>711000The only jobs that really pay well in the first world are jobs that involve making money from money.i.e. being an investment banker or working as part of an investment firm.
>>710565Ive been thinking about doing this. What would should the price be for a low poly asset pack?
