So I use after effects to make stuff as a hobby. My question is what is the best 3d program that would work with after effects in adding 3d objects to motion tracked scenes? Would it just be simpler to do it inside of the program that you make the objects in? What would a workflow look like if those two things were intergrated? The main thing I would want to do is add a big monolith in the background of a city scene, like half life 2.

I think Cinema 4D has an automatic connection to After Effects, that might be what you want
