WIP thread overrun by blendlets. Post your professional software WIPs and finished works.State work name and short description.Homo SuperiorA slender figure (symbolizing agility and elegance) with a muscular, masculine, ebonic torso showcases the duality of the homo superior. His gaze gives onlookers hope and determination as he stands in front of a background inspired by East Asian animations, demonstrating his multicultural farsightedness.
this thread is the prove that all industry cock suckers are cucks and fags.

>>708210>>708208It's sad to see the inferiority and desperation of others displayed so clearly.Maybe next life. Good luck.
>>708212bait / agitation / false flag thread
They literally can't stop screeching about that software. How fucking shook they must be (for literally no reason), holy shit.
Job application portfolio going nicely, art studies finished with top 5% grades. Ready to make some big boy money.Being in a cool mood, ready to give amateurs and beginners useful advice. AMA.
>>708226Post your stuff or shut up.I've done the Homo Superior and Alexander The Great all by myself.I bet you can't even create a donut in your shitty blender. Before you start with excuses about photorealism these works are stylized. Photorealism is for noobs and schmucks. Talented people make art.You might learn it a few years after you've managed to make your first donut.
>>708246>schmucksLeave it to a heeb to create degenerate art.
>>708249Hahaha! Typical open source tier. Has nothing to show, so uses racist slurs. No wonder you guys are jobless incels and can't afford real software.
Blendlets false-flagging as pros, but using Blender-tier work. What a wonderful world!
>>708254Uh-huh, sure. By the way, how's the weather over there at Autodesk HQ in Occupied Palestine?
>>708263>share your WIPs>NO! U FALSE FLAG!>I bet you don't have anything, blendlet>NO! U JEW!!!>Sure buddy. You talk like a typical blendlet>NO! U ARE THE BLENDLET!omfg. Are you even trying? How about you learn a real software instead of embarrassing yourself?
So post your WIPs then fags. Stop fellating one another.
Blender is the greatest software ever created.
Elven Champion "Shalorveniz"Combining elven agility with the muscular beauty shaped by hundred years of combat training.Elven ears and beautiful complexion lend the champion an exotic allure. The shaved head tell the viewer: This elven champion does not care about looks. He removed his hair to maximize his deadly potential by perfecting his aerodynamic qualities. This is a WIP. The topology needs to be cleaned up a bit in some places.

>>708208This post proves that all blendlets are butthurt and immature kids.
I stopped using blender because I was ashamed of being part of this rotten community. I switched to Maya. And holy fuck, it's so much better than blender. No need to mark sharp edges to smooth a model, better UV tools, better animation tools, normals are handled in a much better way and Arnold shits on Cycles any day of the week.
>>708397Lol. Stop being a loser.Houdini is the way to go.Check out the upcoming update.
>>708408Stop choosing/recommending software based on memes.
>>708205What's the point of this thread? I get that it's just a shitpost./wip/ is the last little piece of /3/ that's arguably focused and "productive". The rest of the board has been an absolute mess these past few months. No one taking care of the metas, shit flinging left and right, shitposts constantly, Dazlets thinking they're actual artists and breaking out of their containment threads./3/'s always been a bit of a mess, but it's really been going downhill lately.
>>708413You can show off your superior work here without the risk of being triggered by blendlets' insane choice of software...You can post your newest WIP without the false hope of getting constructive feedback or positive response. Everyone else has the chance to let out some hate and rage.(The newest WIP thread seems alright, but the one before that got drowned in blender hate and general toxicity.)
>>708416>the one before that got drowned in blender hate and general toxicityI think that's because of the sudden division of the different threads that kept popping up with the same premise. You had the /wip/, then you had shit like general discussion which people were using like /wip/ (and a questions thread), that "Post shit you've done" thread, the Saturday "post your work" thread (like saturday is some special day and you can't post shit any other day), and the constant barrage of anons making their own threads for their projects. It's no real wonder why the last /wip/ got flooded with so much shit. It was an echo chamber with the same few people and others coming in to fling some more shit. The thread was around for a whole month as well, which should really speak to how many people were really posting in it. Generally /wips/ last a good week or two before filling up if people are actively posting in it. But yeah, everyone split up into different threads that really could have been just one. At least with everyone in the same thread there'd be enough different perspectives to at least balance things out.Still though. I think I was too quick to judge this thread. Seems like a nicely disguised opportunity to talk about the board's meta. Nothing will come of it, but still. Maybe someday we can all get along and get back to making cool projects together and helping each other out.
>>708408Houdini sucks for modeling and rigging, which is what I'm into. I'd use Houdini is I was making movies, but I'm making games.
>>708420I'd actually prefer if more people would start threads for everything but the most simplest questions.Something like "how do I fix these normals in this picture" could still go into a big question thread, but something like "can you give me constructive feedback what to improve" and the following WIP progression should be its own thread. It feels so much better, when you come back and see 1 new reply in your project thread than seeing 100 new replies on a big thread of which none is related to you.A big thread basically incentives everybody in it to look for new replies, but if there are none, people might join general discussions, which, lets face it, are always software shaming and leads to more toxicity. It might lead to threads falling off more quickly, but the next thread that will be lost under the current system was started in February, so not a big deal imho.If some janitor would ban the pointless software bashing and "discussion" threads (like 10 at the moment), we'd have enough thread limit for everything interesting. And if that janitor would ban that one schizo on this board, we might have a good board 'culture' in a few weeks.
>>708423>that one schizo on this board?
>>708423Yeah I'd agree, but we'd have to have a janny first. We don't right now. No janny, or /3/'s own special mod. Global mods pop in from time to time to delete shit that doesn't need deleted (mainly "nudity" on an art board), but that's the extent of it.Having a janny or mod would go a long way towards fixing up the place (and rather quickly too), but /3/ is one of those boards that people have no idea exists until they accidentally post here on their phone. So it's not really "up there" in terms of priorities. I'd also agree about making your own thread, but to me that just seems like attention whoring. I'm more likely to post somewhere like /wip/ just because I don't think my work really needs it's own thread, and I shouldn't treat the board like my own personal blog. I feel like that with a lot of similar posts here as well. There's some exceptions, the Metroid one being a nice one to follow along with, but I think you get what I mean. Having (you)'s on your own thread is nice, but after a day or so the attention will probably die off unless it's something interesting. Even if you're updating the thread, a lot of people would have probably lost interest by then.Benefit of the /wip/ thread is that everyone's looking for (you)'s so they're gonna have to look at your shit whether they want to or not if they're checking their own work on the thread. They might not reply, but it's better than just ignoring a thread outright. You have some good points though. All in all I just wish /3/ would be better.
>>708423>It feels so much better, when you come back and see 1 new reply in your project thread than seeing 100 new replies on a big thread of which none is related to you.are you really that self centered
>>708445Would you rather have a personal mailbox and when some letter arrives you know it's for you orWould you like some container for the whole neighborhood, which gets a letter thrown in every hour, but you have to go there to know it was for you?>>708426>making your own thread, but to me that just seems like attention whoringIt's just a more manageable form to organize communication.I don't understand how you both even think in terms like "attention whoring" and "self centered".It's an anonymous board and most people post WIPs without contact information, so there is no tangible gain from attention.I swear to god it has something to do with 15 years of public schools and university, which changes brains until they crave centralization while harboring aversion towards people who step out of line...Stop thinking in terms of status and ego.
>>708462>It's an anonymous board and most people post WIPs without contact information, so there is no tangible gain from attention... they crave centralization while harboring aversion towards people who step out of line...It's less about all that and more the idea that I don't know how often I'd post to that specific thread. With /wip/ I can just post, and move on. I don't have to worry about replying to every person that comes to the thread, or worrying about long breaks in a project where the thread might die and I'd have to post the same thing again in a new thread, and I don't have to worry about if what I'm posting is interesting enough for people to bother coming in and talking about it. Maybe attention whoring is the wrong word, but to spin your own argument against you, it's an anonymous board. That should speak volumes about how people conduct themselves here and around the whole site. Anonymity means it's easy enough to blend in with everything else. That's both a good thing and a bad thing, but in terms of 4chan, generally people hate namefags for the same reason they exist. They bring attention to themselves in a sea of sentiment. Making your own thread outside of the "proper channels", is kinda the same thing. It's saying "hey look at me" in the smuggest way possible, or they're just new to 4chan, or the board and don't know it's "culture" (if you can call it that).Maybe if everyone was doing it, it wouldn't be seen that way. But /3/ is so small a community that it's easier to just form close-knit circles around similar interests and call it a day. If /3/ was way more popular then the culture of the board would probably change to where people wouldn't be so averse to new threads ("a thread died for this?!"), but it's just one of those things. Don't rock the boat and all that.Who knows though. /3/'s been undergoing a shift lately, so anything could start happening differently to upset the order of things. Maybe the Blendlets will rise up.
>>708467imho you think too much about what other people might think and how your actions will be perceived.Hater gonna hate regardless of what you do.Don't let their smugness, hostility and self-righteousness affect your behavior."Stand up straight with your shoulders back" and such jazz...What bothers me about /3/ is that advertisements doesn't fall off quickly and gets bumped by industry shills. That's why out of the top 20 threads you have:--- 5 that are trying to promote Houdini (I guess it's Houdini's new update. They know it's bad, so they use toxic advertisement and attack other software)--- 3 shitting on blender--- 3 promoting some softwareLess software discussion, more projects from Anons.Thread:"Blendlets bitched the fuck out"Brave color choice demonstrates the creator's balls of steel, which he got from using superior software like not-Blender.A true work by a true artiste using a true software, which is rightfully muh IndUstrY stAndRt.
>>708539Superior artiste forgot to upload picture, because he, that am I, only cares for his genius and tru art.
>>708562It's called 'art', because it was done without Blender.
>>708539Ultimately, I just think it's wasteful for me to make a whole thread for my work, especially if it's finished. Not that making a thread is wasting anything, but hopefully you understand what I mean. But yeah, have some art. This piece speaks to the futility of the human experience, and that at the end of the day we're just slaves to corporate greed.
>>708613Get a load of this cocksucker, I bet he thinks that things happen to him and he's hopeless to stop what life throws at him.Get your head out of your own ass, your model only shows you that you've not spent the time to sculpt the marble of your mind, suggesting the vague semblance of humanity, a parody of a human being. You're the captain of your shitty vehicle of flesh, get to chiseling.
>>709852lol. blendlet triggered for being unable to create real art.
>>708613>5 that are trying to promote Houdini (I guess it's Houdini's new update. They know it's bad, so they use toxic advertisement and attack other software)
>>709852It's clear that you just don't understand high art.Don't worry, a lot of regular schmucks like you are doomed to a menial existence.
>>708413>What's the point of this thread? This thread was made by the same anon who's mad about Houdini threads, and apparently also about Houdini's existence in itself. He's posting intentionally bad work, trying to pass it as if it were done in Houdini, in order to discredit the software. But the work is actually done in Blender, and the guy obviously knows nothing about Houdini. We see clearly through his charade.
>>708239>>708379Nice dude. I'm working on a sword like that right now but i appreciate the post work you have put in.Do you have any more? Kinda making me wanna try Houdini desu hahah
>>709920Try harder, retard.
>>709914All those software ads are getting pretty annoying though and these minimum wage marketing memes are fucking obnoxious.>>708408It's one thing to advertise a product. It's another to insult users of other software in so many threads.
>>709929Anon, get a grip. Nobody would spend money on advertising on this godforsaken board.
>>708239Do you even know how a sword looks?
so this is the power of the industry standard...blendlets must be seething
>>709969Anon, do you even know how this works?Nobody knows, analyses or cares HOW shitty the board is. It's free ad space.Just some random site on some marketers list.
>>709984How can you not see that everything posted on this thread was done in Blender? lmao
>>710020op here, none of my pics were done with blender.Which was the entire point of the thread btw...But keep guessing.
