I even put in the bevels from that second photo then i beveled the bevels cuz it looks cool blender is the best hard surface modeling software come at me bro

Well, look at those bevels and tell me it could have been done in 2.80.

you wanna whine some more? it says "You can't do this in blender" and I just did it in Blender. I dont have 2.8 on my work pc otherwise id do it there. I am the Blender Mastur.

No wayyyyy really? Who would'a guessed that?
Awwww shit son, I can't use that for manufacturing? Noooooooooooo. What am I gonna give to the machinist?

Who fucking cares. You wouldn't be able to use it for manufacturing even if you made it in Max, Maya, C4D or fucking Milkshape 3d. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. Of course it's not suitable. That's common knowledge, and not even the point of the thread.

nice approach, but i wonder how you made that round part, did you pulled the vertices by hand to form an approximative circular shape? Because i want it to have a nice defined radius

you can not compare moi3d, fusion360 etc with maya, blender or 3dsmax. they are different things.
you can approach the same design but you have to extrude and move points, edges or faces.

There are enough valid reasons to criticize Blender.

it is just a disc with an extrusion in the middle
i have not saved the previous file but i did it again it is basic modeling any /3/senpai can do

>smoothed the cube once with top an down creased to make a disc
>added more resolution to detail in next step
>extruded faces in the middle, moved, added, straighten some edges

You don't do real life manufacturing with blender, or with maya/3dmax/houdini/cinema

You use specialized CAD software for manufacturing.

Dear lord how stupid you are, please be a troll
>>
>>708049
Fuck you triggered cunt. This is /3/
>>
>>708049
That's strange because I've modeled all my 3D prints with Blender and it works just fine. Of course I'm not designing a jet engine here, but for simple CAD stuff it works 100% fine.

No they didn't, whoever came up with this bullshit idea is an complete retard and double nigger.
And this is coming from an Maya user.
Blenders bevel tool is up to snuff, and it is far superior to Modo's bevel tool which in the latest version was upgraded, but still is inferior to Maya and Blender.
That's a tough cookie to swallow, but it is the truth.
