I wanna get into sculpting. Are these tutorials any good?
I'll sue them when i cannot sculpt like that after these tuts
>>703830use the questions thread you dumb nigger
>tutorials about creating ugly abstract xenoscum and devils.Go with the based human one.
>have a question>hahaha better make an entire general for it just like reddit! To top it off, he's so lazy he's asking if guides he's found are any good.
>>703830I guess you have one hour to find that out.
>>703830Personally I have grown to like Henny and mortons style of video. I found them annoying at first. But the way they back and forth over little bits helps you remember things, cos like, you remember he conversation about it, if that makes sense. Rather than someone just saying>Now we do X, and X is good because of Y.It's more like.>Now we do X, X is good because if Y. Also yeah in cases of Z it's really useful too, so always try to use X for Y and think about when you will need it for Z.I dunno maybe that was autistic najdnweird butni think they make good tutorials.I pirated their zbrush intro he other day and downloaded zbrush. Never used zbrush before and they covered everything in ways it was easy to built on what you had done as you go.
why are they mostly blender now?
if you want an excellent tutorial torrent some professional course on zbrush then apply what you learn in blender. the tools are quite similar
>>704011Because they are starved for social media attention and they have run out of material (All they know how to do is sculpting and texturing) so they're doing it over again using social media savvy memeware. Note how they often go back to Zbrush and export into Blender when they want to create real work.
>>704011Because Blender gets a lot of attention right now (and they use it to increase their viewer/subscription count) . Also don't forget they them-self have starting to use Blender since recently so it makes sense that they talk about it. I am sure they'll also do more Zbrush, Maya and Mari stuff.
>>704012Which tutorial do you suggest, my man? In return, a funny picture for your troubles.
>>704011Because that's what they use now for modelingStill sculpt in zbrush
>>703830Do the intro to zbrush tutorial on gnomon it's the best
>>704011The number of Blender users is exploding, hence interest in blender content is extremely high. Blender is definitely commanding the largest mindshare amongst the newest generation of 3d artists.
>>704011Because when it comes to modeling and sculpting, Blender is much better and fun to use than Maya. They still use Zbrush for real sculpting work though because it's the best for that kind of work.
>>704013I used to hate blender but it's really great now. Still missing some tools but the modeling experience is so much better than Maya. Still not on par with Max when it comes to the tools, but the fast workflow makes up for it.
>>704011because zbrush is outdated as fuckthe UI is complete trash
>>705995They still use Zbrush for sculpting you moron, they posted a new Zbrush video like yesterday. They just use Blender instead of Maya.
>>704013>All they know how to do is sculpting and texturingAs oppose to what.
>>706036Modeling and animating.
>>706036Rigging, animating, lookdev, lighting.
>use the search function>thread locked
>>704013>social media savvy memewarepretty accurate description of blender
>>70639490% of the current state of /3/ software wars is because Autodesk has no social media strategy. If they get their shit together the narrative will be restored to the true state of things.
>tfw Blender is about to put shitologic sBrush out of businessi have been saying it was going to happen for yearsit has all the tools and better nowand now its finally happening
>>706403Who the fuck cares about social media? Only unproductive zoomers. Waste of time.>>706654OH NO NO NO NO AAAAAAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAAA
>>706654I love Blender as much as the next guy, but this aint it
>>704011because they don't have to worry about being employable any more, so they get to have fun with meme software for clicks
Can you guys name some oldschool zbrush masters? I mean those from 10+ years ago who sculpted their own drapery without the aid of marvelous designer and so on.
>>706903Use cloth simulation for this. Sculpting clothes is tedious as fuck and I'm sure people back then wished they had marvelous designer.
>>706905I wasn't asking for advice. I was asking for names of top tier zbrush artists.
>>706905>Use cloth simulation for this. Sculpting clothes is tedious as fuck and I'm sure people back then wished they had marvelous designer. In production i still result 50% of my marvelous output. Its really important to be able to block out shit by hand even if you will redo and sim everything later.
>>703830Free tuts, bot that long. Why not try it?

So, any good tutorals on 3dpd sculpting with polymer clay? Particularly with armature wire?
My dynotopo resolution is set to 550 and it's comparable to tutorial guy's 30. What's up? Is it the scale of the object?
>>707025In zbrush it's based on scale.
>>707024Gnomon has some.
