>Post something you did today.I started to try Blender back in 2015 but then I dropped. Since the last version 2.80 came and a job possibility for me I need to become good at 3D.Since one week I am in beast mode so far, I just wanted to share and to see your stuff too.Let's discuss nicely about our meshes and textures...>Doing some plants for my Archiviz, notice the ground inside of the pot, is not flat, I've done in with a displacement Map + geometry matching. We don't go cheap here...>Blender Cycles 50 Frames + Blender Denoiser
>>701478>implying this thread will be here JUST for SaturdayStrap in OP. You just made a Saturday that'll last for 3 months.
>>701482[OP]I am more used to /pol/ and /vr/ the pace it(d faster, /3/ it's kind of slow indeed.
[OP]I did that too today, a italian coffe pot:
And lastly, I did that too today: a jug
>>701485Stop with the faggy [OP] shit. No one cares.
Sorry about the toxicity, these models look good, can you show wireframes?
>>702785[OP]Thanks for the concern, though he's not wrong about the faggy part ( I happen to have a dildo in my ass at this very moment. Can't show wireframes until I get back to a computer I'm afraid.
>>701489That's an awfully hot coffee pot.
>>702785>toxicityFuck off to periscope or reddit you stupid cunt
>>701489italian here, it looks a little too vertically-stretched, also the top "handle" thing could be a little taller, and the section in the middle should be a cylinder because it contains threaded sections for screwing both parts together.i dont have a pic with me rn but google "bialetti moka" or something; that brand is the most recognizable italian coffee machine. At least, here in italy.
>>703326>bialetti mokaThanks for the answer latin bro.
programmed a tree generator for blender (I know these exist, just wanted to practice)
Modelled it about a day ago, am trying to figure out how to use my vertex groups correctly so I can give each area it's proper normals. I.E walls have wall normals and floor has floor tile normals, but I'm happy with it.Didn't make the textures btw, got them from texture haven. I'm hopeless at 2D
>>701500Neutral Evil>>702789Chaotic Neutralknow the difference
>>705883Chaotic Faggot
Trying to get good at creating characters from scratch. Still really difficult, if anyone got advices feel free to drop em.
>>706011use the skin modifier to make your base mesh, it goes much faster than manual
Hardsurface modelled in may and textured in substance painter, still getting the hang of substance painter
>>705864NO WAY?!So you really did that with code? Can you send me any type of video, I am impressed.
>>705882Not bad, but the floor look stretched on the edges. Have you done a clean UV unwrapping?
>>706011Watch a tutorial on YT before starting from scratch for the 1st time.
>>706053Good model, but the lights make it look so CG.
>>706066Wow, I am impressed, best contribution so far. Keep the good work anon.Brush?
>>706084*Zbrush?
>>706085yeah this is the concept i made for it
>>706087>>706066starting to break the symmetry right now
>>706087Wow, anon you are very good, go post your stuff on Artstation.I am training but still miles away from you.Are you pro?Do you have a portfolio?
>>706163yeahh..https://rubenp.artstation.com/yep but im a concept artist. But right now i want to follow a more 2d/3d mix career, already create a pbr stilized character, now im doing this one in realism style, same as this one, full body, full japanese armor, for marmoset and ready to use ingame.I want to create 3 - 4 characters and go and try to land a 3d job.. already worked 7 years as a concept artist i want to swich to 3d
Didnt get too much done on Saturday, mainly just render tests as I get used to Blender2.8.
>>706165What is your interest to post here?
>>706165?Amigo, eres espaƱol?I watched your portfolio, you are very good. I love your spider-man, very dynamic and the design of the head was ballsy!!I will krrp an eye on your work, my goals are different than you, I want to do Archiviz but also learn 3D characters and concept art for one day do an indie Game.>I join a drawing I am making now, it's not finish, but as you can see I am not advanced.
>>706087It is really cool shalk style. You have cool brushes. (Photoshop?)
>>706161Do MArmoset and 3D Coat are so useful? You can't do all with Substance Painter?I don't want to spend my life learning softwares.
>>706168i've been in 4chan for 8 years, always posted my stuff on ic, now im starting to learn 3d so i post it here anon
>>706175In general pro-artists avoid 4chan like plague. Especialy to post here, that is the reason why I was surprised to find a pro here.
>>706174marmoset is amazing as a real time render. For 3dcoat i think ill switch to 3dmax , i only use 3dcoat for retopoOn the model, already breaking the simmetry w, once finished, starting with high ress skin textures
>>706178Can you find work only with : 3DSMAX/BLENDER/Z-Brush/Sun Painter/Photoshop?
>>706172i used Greg Rutkowski_brushes_2019.abr for this one just to test, and in the end will be a full 3d render character, i will try to practice marvelous designer too for this onealso, basic bloking
*Substance Painter
>>706180several friends work in elite3d making call of duty models, one of them is who taught me 3d, the standard is zbrush - maya/max - substance painter, marvelous designer and for baking marmoset. At least in that company which is one of the top ones in spain
Where did you learn digital painting?Do you recommend me any YouTube guru?Do you use layers and draw your lines on top of your models?
>>706186just practice and do studies, study everything, the first and yet the best tutorial i followed until this day is this one , and its been like 10 yearshttp://www.floobynooby.com/ICG/artvalues.htmlfor concept? 3 methods, black and white to color with shapes, or line + basic colro and on top of that layers of shadow - ambient occlusion - depth, light etc, and then paint on top of everything
>>706187>http://www.floobynooby.com/ICG/artvalues.htmlI meant 2 sorrythis one before go to futt paint mode
>>706187Amazing drawing, you are definitely a pro.You very good color combinaisons. Thanks a lot for the turorial link, I will do it.>A lot of work in Spain? Only Barca and Madrid?
>>706189almost everything in concentrated in Barsa (barcelona) , then madrid, then Valencia and a little bit on the south. Mostly mobile except mercury steam, ubisoft , elite 3d and some othersalto try warmups, i make black and white ones like this one before start working at my office, usually 30 min to 1 hourImprove your skill A LOT
>>706190as you can see , basic round brush and "smudge nice" smudge pencil, you can find it in google.
I was looking in Indeed Spain for archiviz/3dsMAX but I didn't find much.>I think I will spend time working on grey scales before to work on colors. I don't think I am good enough yet to color.
>>706079What kind of video do you mean? A tree rotating? Or an explanation what it does?
>>706178>>706181
>>706375Both if you can and if it doesn't bother you :)
>>706381Wow, more and more details, the skin texture it's very good, I suppose tha you are sculpting them with a mask/image texture/alpha.>Send pls if you have some free skin mask/textures.>Continue to post, I really want to see the end of it!!
>>706381How do you add that bumpy texture on the cheeks? Is that some kind of a special brush or you just sculpt it with a regular, but very small brush?
>>706399Not him, but you can use alpha maps to create bumps like this.
I'm currently trying to model a Balmoral house from Morrowind, what do you guys think so far?
>>706388won't do an explanation videobasically it starts with the stem and adds 1-3 branches repeatedly (about 4-5 times) - making them shorter along the way. Vertices and edges. then this thing gets a subdivision modifier, a skin modifier and another subdivision modifier added. For the final branches and leaves it adds a new Object with more edges, another skin modifier and a hair-particle system in object mode with a lowpoly handmade leaf mesh.Materials are hand made and procedural. Leaf-aging is basically just a slider, but the whole thing isn't well integrated into blender like many plugins I've seen
>>706420You using in-game reference? It's been a while, but I don't remember houses with an extra bit on the right. I mean, I think I do, but I could just be making it up.
>>706448Yeah it's one of the houses that is in between a couple of houses down by the water, there is like a bridge structure that links them together. I want to eventually try my hand at doing one half of the city.
>>706452Just finished moving some stuff around, later I'm gonna do the stairs and the pieces that stick out from the outside.
Making something for halloween.>Taking pictures of your computer screen
I think it lacks middle details.. still too cartoony for my taste, tomorrow i will put on him regular pointy ears and regular earrings and try to add fat to his face to make it more realistic1
>>706452Lookin good anon>I want to eventually try my hand at doing one half of the city.Yeah I've always wanted to do something like that with Balmora (like pic related). Always liked the aesthetic. Never really had the time to invest in it as a project though.I could imagine all the clickbait ass articles (about a Morrowind remake) that would stem from it if it ended up anywhere decent looking.
>>706470Thanks man, and yeah I want to try and snag one of these jobs near me as an environmental artist for some govt simulations or something. Since there are really no game or movie studios near me and the wife doesnt want to move lol. It would be really cool to see your work being used as a possible game leak footage though.
>>706544One of mine was used as a GTA 6 leak even though it's pretty shitty (it was just something I made while learning for fun). Honestly it was hilarious seeing a few articles pop up and a few YT videos using it as the thumbnail for GTA6 speculation. Especially since I was really into the low poly aesthetic at the time and tried to make everything like that. So if this really was a GTA6 screenshot, it'd be fucking shit.I've come a long way since then. Right now I'm putting together my portfolio. I had wanted to be an environmental artist as well, but I've recently fallen in love with just texturing objects. I'm pretty decent at it as well, so if anything I'd try to get a job doing that.
Hey guys, I'm proud to present my latest creation. Worked on it for about three weeks, render took 43 hours. What can I emprove
>>707919>What can I emproveyour shitpost game is extremely weak, try to learn from bevel posters
