Convince me to switch to 2.8.

I barely use cycles, so it might not be for me.
I mean the real question is "why not?" You have everything you already have and more.
>>700127false, because of addons
>>700131false, most of mine worked out of the box since the python api didnt change, and the one who didnt because of UI changes were all updated. If your plugins dont work and are not updated, you should seek for a replacement
>>700136I'd rather just not update to 2.8
>>700138That fine, ydy. But youre probably going to miss on some pretty cool shit in the future.EEVE is a kinda of a meme in my opinion, but the intel denoiser is the real shit.
>>700141I don't render in blender so I'm good
>>700118I want to migrate to 2.8 Blender, but I dislike the UI, as I am used to 2.79- interface. Is there a way to change the UI in 2.8 to fit in similar designs as 2.79?
>>700118From 2.79?What's keeping you outside of fear of having to learn a new UI?
>>700144Modeling feels so much cleaner in 2.8, cleaner than any 3d program to be honest. The viewport looks great on solid and the new visibility options with quicky swapping back and forth between x-ray is great.
>>700194what makes modelling in 2.8 better than 2.79 and/or Max?
>>700123If you don't use cycles, 2.8 is for you. Eevee is pretty nice.
My nigga
Just use the portable version(s), they're entirely self contained; if there's a feature you need to use from an older version (like an add-on) you can import / export either to a common file format or often just append to the newer version
>>700195personally i have never liked the classic clunky UI look of the 3ds max and 2.79 blenderhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyCepAM7Ftcfor me personally biggest things i love that were added was collections, which functions like a propery heirachy system much easier to stay organisedsecondly the viewport options when modeling, really lets you visualize what your working on much better third the selection tools and how they smartly intimate what you to select, as well as the highlighting makes it very easy to see what your doing making work faster by less orbiting/zooming to make sure you have the right thing selected
>>700210cringe
>>700136>since the python api didnt changeIt changed a whole fucking lot, starting with different parameter assignment calls and ending with a different data structure for meshes
>>700218cringe
>>700218>>700339cringe
>>700118Switch to something good instead.
>>700217the new hierarchy and collection was more than enough reason for me to upgrade, layers are a nightmare in 2.79.
