/3/'s always been shit yeah, but these past few months it's like someone took a laxative with diarrhea. There were people arguing about software same as always, but not shitposts on a constant drip, and software wars petered out after a while when the same shit got posted every time.
Ever since Blender 2.8 released it's been like this. It's just a fucking program.
Who cares what it can or can't do? If you're not using it, fine, be happy you have advantages in certain areas. If you are using it, good for you, there's tons of other people using it too, you're not special, and you don't have to shout from the mountaintops that you're using free software and it's capable of good stuff if you're a good artist.
I'll admit that I use Blender (in conjunction with other shit like SP, Zbrush and stuff), but even I'm tired of all the shit surrounding it. I've always been. Just make stuff and get better. Arguing who's got the better program and showing better artists' work as an example isn't going to make you better at anything.
