Drag tileable cloth alpha to clothes set tiling. Set color done. Drag tileable skin detail map to head. Mask where you don't want it. Add several other tileable skins and mask where you want them. Done.

nope, that's too simplistic.
All what automation is doing is a compression of the time until the artist sees a certain result, the amount of iteration is depended on artistic or financial decisions.
Its a conscious decision to use the advanced speed of automation for greed or a better artistic vision.
