>>690084You actually HAVE clients. Hold tight on what you have.Very, VERY tight.
>>690084quite similar here, though some things can definitely help:- don't check emails outside work hours- exercice (strength) and go for runs outside (cardio)- read before going to bed- avoid working on the weekend and hangout with friends and family instead- make time for personal projects that you enjoyfinally, realize that:- nothing you do will ever be perfect, so you have to put limits somewhere and keep it fun as much as possible- it's not because you keep yourself busy that you're actually being productiveotherwise the whole thing becomes quickly unbearablegood luck m8
>>690084You shit every day?
>>690088piss off 3DGuy, we don't need your nightmare fuel here
>>690088With work like that no wonder you don't have clients
>>690084Can't help you. I'm just a student, but I'm already shafting all my clients hard and postponing deadlines indefinitely because the money doesn't motivate me at all.
>>690084I could never do this as a job. I take 4 months to do a character because I do things over and over because they look shit to me.
>>6900883Dguy, you are a master shitposter. hope to have you around for many years to come.
>>690084>Wake up at 5pm>Make "dinner">Work on stuff for clients until my carpal tunnel or whatever it is starts to debilitate me (usually takes about an hour or so)>"rest" by watching YT or something on my bed for a few hours>Go back to work until pain starts to flare up again>Get ice pack and watch something else>Go to sleep at 6am>Repeat>tfw I probably can't get a real job doing this or anything with computers because of my fucking handsI hate my life. I always want to create shit but I can't due to pain. I've got so many different mice on rotation. I wish there was a good way to work with a computer without actually touching anything ;_;
>>690146Shit anon, have you gone to a doctor? You don't seem to know exactly what you have. If it's carpal tunnel syndrome, there are treatments with high success rates.
>>690146fucked up schedule
I'm not employed but whatever.>wake up around 1 pm>have lunch>read email>read software-related forums>open whatever software I need for the project I'm working on and work on it>take a shower>it's 7.30 pm, have dinner>go back to working>it's about 11 pm, time for some TV series or half of a film>back to working>if done enough during the day, practice art fundamentals for about one hour>it's 4.30 am, go to bed, read for a while, then sleep
>>690164not too bad, i used to do that too, though eventually my body really hated the 4AM to 1PM sleep routine.. those aren't "good" sleep hours and due to hidden chronic fatigue I developed a weird reaction to really basic stressful situationstry 2AM to 10AM if you will, I'm sure you'll feel more energized once accustomed
>>690157I live in freedomland with no insurance. I can afford to take care of everything else with what I make from my work, but insurance. I also make slightly too much to be able to apply for welfare or whatever to get insurance paid by the guv'ment. I'm just in some weird limbo. >>690159No shit. But it's not like waking up earlier and doing the exact same thing is gonna change much. Just the time would be offset.
>>690146What do you interact with now. A pen or a regular mouse.
>>690175I've got a few different mice on rotation (pic related) to keep from working the same areas too much. I've also got a knockoff cintiq, but I can't do 3d very well with that or the touchpad. I also switch hands, but I'm not as productive with my left hand.
>all these anons going to bed past 2amWtf I sleep around 12:30 and I keep waking up every hour until 10
>>690146have you consider trying one of pic related? i use a compression glove with mouse padding at the bottom for carpel tunnel and it really helps me a lot.
>>690191I've got some wrist braces, but mainly they just end up hurting. I had a glove like that though but it didn't do any compression. I'll take a look at it.Know of anything for sore fingertips? They're not numb or tingly, it's just clicking makes them sore after a while. Honestly I think that's the biggest thing. My wrist hasn't actually hurt as much as it used to since I've been taking it easy and keeping my wrist off the desk.
>>690199>keeping my wrist off the desk.i dont know anything for the fingers anon, sorry but something that helped is getting pic related to exercise the hand and fingers so they dont get stuck doing the same repetitive task all day.But i think we are on the same path, looking for a way to keep working with out having to use a mouse, i think the best way to go in the future is working on a drawing monitor i guess, the only issue is that i dont know how to use my tablet pen with maya, but i think some shortcut can fix that. any way anon, exercise your hand daily.
>>690084>Have a shower at night not in the morning to freshen upWhy? You should be having 2 a day
>>690084>wake up>take a shit>get dressed and get to work>sit down>check what i need to do today>open max>get up to get lunch>get back and sit down>end of work day>get home>shower>eat>youtube, movie or some shitty memes to pass the time since too tired for anything else>sleep>repeatlifes a fucking joke
>>690084> go to work> launch After Effects> no After Effects> have to attend meetings instead> have to do scheduling/proposals/headcount> have to deal with IT> have to deal with HR> staff thinks I don't do anything> no lunch buddies anymoreManagerial work sucks.
>>690084>i hate my routine more-wake up-drive to the sport gym and do your routine.-come back and drink coffee.-start working. work until lunch. -walk to your lunch place and eat small. walk back.-get to your table. do your work a hour longer. -do some stretching and relax in warm bath.. -get sleep.get yourself 1 day family or hobby life. 1 day just to do home shit.if you cant keep this up you should reconsider your life and working morals.btw. get yourself stand up table. your back and kidneys will love your for that..
>wake up go to work>come home>open up youtube tuorials and try to learn new 3d stuff and try to make cool pictures>make porn>jack off and lose interestrinse repeat

>>690243There is no conclusive prove standing helps tho. If there was I would do it too.
>>690294But there is evidence that prolonged sitting is harmful, isn't there?
>>690084well I got a job so>wake up>get breakfast at bakery and drive to work>7am, work work work>time flies, its already lunch time>lil bit more work>4pm, go home>go jogging or workout or slackline in the park>shower, dinner>either play video games (3ds because Ive already been sitting at the pc the whole day)>or draw or watch series or meet friends and drink a lil bit or just chill with other people outside>go to bed>repeat mo to thur, Im off at friday at 1pmI mean I can only sit at my own pc in the weekend because Im not in the mood after work, but Im happy that I can improve my skills at work. Took me years to finally land a decent 3d job and even that was a close one. Be thankful that you got clients op, for the rest of you: hang in there, polish your portfolio and push through your working dog jobs
>>690089this is a gold advice, all of my yes to this
>>690126dont do characters then, do objects/props/spaceships/anything elsecharacters is high level shit you may tackle later
>>690172changing sleep habits does change much, you get the most effective sleep in the night (obviously)go to the doc and check your hands, it's most likely carpal tunnel syndromeget a vertical mousedo regular hand exercises that relax your wrists, google "exercises to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome" or somethingif you dont have enough money for the doc, save up for the doc, your health goes first
>>690205not that dude but I always had the feeling that workout somehow helped my wrists and I thought "nah, it stresses them, how can that help them" but I always feel betterthis explains a lot
>>690199Stretch your hands every hour of work.I use a pomodoro timer that tells me to get up for 10 minuets every hour, it might help to improve some pains anon
>>690089THIS.I cant praise people who promote exercise more. If you exercise your body it wont huet as much when you meed to spend time sitting down.
>>690205I'll grab some of these. I'm kind of like >>690321where I figured it'd add more stress than help it. I've mainly just been using weights and exercising my arms in hopes that it would help.>>690319Honestly I've been trying to re-wire my sleep schedule but even when I go to sleep early, I'll still end up sleeping in super late. I guess I need to be more disciplined. As far as my wrists go, I don't think they hurt all that much compared to my fingertips. They're not tingly or anything just sore. Gotta give them a good break, but I also have to keep working. It's a shit cycle.>>690333I always thought these photos were a joke posted on other boards to make you hurt yourself. I do take breaks, though not as often as I should I guess. I'll start giving these a try. Thanks anons. Nice to hear that you all care.
>>690316my pleasure anon, hope it helps
>>690334Not only this, but exercise refreshes the mind too, because during that time your focus is not on brainpower. It allows the mind to wander while energy is spent on the body, which can lead to spontaneous new ideas or creative problem solving.
>>690251>jack off and lose interestThis is what's ruining your life. I'm a full time porn artist but I abstain from jacking off and thus have unlocked vedic interdimensional tantric-spacewizard focus.

>>690169i found that 4 am to 11 am is perfect for my body and soul. but im from Iceland, and our day/night cycle is bugged
>>690251seriously, how hard is it not to jack off? I've literally never jacked off in my life, because I have priorities and actually have my life together. Stop touching yourself and get to work. Please, for your own benefit
>>690172In the same situation as you, except I simply can't sleep well, and can't afford help. Freedomland wants to keep you in limbo, it's what everything works for
>>694615>I've literally never jacked off in my lifethat's not normalt. doctor
>>694649To be fair, he didn't say anything about not being jacked off by his mother.
>>694649>t. doctorlarping as a doctor in a 3d basket weaving image board
>>690208But /r9k/ told me showers are jewish tricks and for normies.
>>694617Hey anon. I'm that dude, just following up. I've done what I can to force my sleep schedule to something a bit more normal and it's been working out. I feel more rested when I'm waking up earlier (weird I know), and I've been falling asleep way easier too (also weird). Just do what you can to fall asleep, avoid lights late at night, particularly blue light, and just keep that rhythm going and you'll fall into it.I've also been forcing myself to take more breaks and my hand problems have been pretty manageable. It's not completely gone, but I'm not hurting after I've finished working, which means I can keep going the next day. I also tried getting some compression gloves, but I must have gotten them too small since they kind of hurt. Even though I definitely measured it right. But yeah, just do what you can to make good habits friend. I know that's easier said than done, but if you have to force yourself to do it then do it. Even if it means laying in bed for hours until you fall asleep because you're used to going to bed at 5am. Eventually your body will get the message and start going to sleep normally.
>>694752have you tried incorporating an exercise routine? like maybe some cardio, i know gyms are expensive and shit, but you can always go the plundering way and download something like T25 exercise videos, some of them are low impact and might help improve you overall.
>>694935Yeah I think I said previously, but I was lifting weights in my spare time. Nothing serious, just doing bicep curls and stuff with some cheap dumbells. I mean I haven't had any benefits for hand stuff, but I can definitely tell I'm getting stronger.I used to go to a gym, but I live in a rural area and it's pretty far. I've really been wanting to do cardio stuff. I was thinking about going to Goodwill or something and picking up an exercise bike or something that I can use at home. I really need to start getting myself together.
I unfortunately will spend upwards of 20 hours a day working on 3d. I hate America. I hate contract work. But I damn well know I'm 90% better than most of you dudes. I wish this upon no one unless they truly love 3d.
>>695178>20 hours a day workingWish I could manage half of that to be honest. I love doing my work (then again I'm not doing some menial task for hours on end). I start to get tired and sore after working for a few hours, even with breaks though. A lot of times I wish life was more like GitS or something. Get me some robo prosthetics and shit to work nonstop. They need to hurry up and make some mind-link type shit so I can sit back and work using my thoughts.Or at the very least decent eye tracking that's not outrageously expensive.
>>690146Dude not just you but literally everyone who works with computers all day should have an ergonomic mouse. Seriously makes a huge difference.
Wagie wagie get in cagieAll day long you sweat and ragieNEET is comfyNEET is coolNEET is free from work and schoolWagie trapped and wagie diesNEET eats tendies, sauce and fries
>>695205This post here >>690177 shows my mice.I mainly use top left. It's pretty ergonomic, though the mouse buttons are a bit stiff so my fingertips get sore after a while.
