Does anyone know any sources for free basic human armatures with loads of animations? Things like sitting down, back flips, punches etc. I would like to try to copy body rig animations to a separate rig. I am planning on using blender for this but do you guys think something like Maya would be better suited for this type of thing?

Make your own. Stop being lazy and stealing resources.

Otherwise, use what every other n00b uses. Mixamo.

I'd also be willing to sell you a bunch I made for 50 dollars.

There is software expressly designed for this called MotionBuilder.
