retards don't discuss anything, they just fling shit at each other and procrastinate welcome to /3/
>>685211>small minds discuss softwarehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkjpDz3b6Akuhhhhh....anon?
>>685211What the fuck was the point of this?>Small minds make threads like these to post irrelevant statements
>>685247It's blendlets, what else do you expect.
>>685211good luck doing all that art without softwares

>>685215Pandering to small minds on Youtube. Gotta play those algorithms anon.
>>685299>gaming the algorithm>only 8000 views

>>685211Why even use this board? The Polycount forums are much better
>>687142How so.
>workflowThe most infuriating word ever
>>687289Why? Because you lack a good one?
>>687293>t. average mind
>>685211my idea is to alter the workflow with new software
>>687289Even worse than >pipeline?
>>687296A great average mindlet
>>687302>industry standard
>>685211Those Indigo computers looked really neat
>>688107They really do
>>688107Ya pity the case was so non standard. Wouldn't mind putting a new system in one.
>>688973>he's afraid of using a dremel and some hotglue
>>689284They're too noisy and dangerous.
>>685211The unproductive and useless troll on forums.
>>690514>posts lgbtqp pride rainbow rune
>>690516Forgot? The rainbow flag was reconquered and returned to its rightful owners.
>>690545What are you talking about?
>>690619There is a movement to take back the rainbow flag as a symbol of Christianity. Originally, the rainbow is a symbol planted as a reminder of the alliance between the divine and mortal realm...if you want to believe in such things.
>>685211small minds create lots of baseless, useless abstractions like you just did
>>690656He's a big guy, if anyone was wondering. Not OP, but pic related.
>>690649Ah, I see. At first I thought it had to do with Norse mythology, considering the image. But I didn't know it's also claimed by Abrahamic religions. Apparently, there's plenty of "original" symbolism regarding the rainbow: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbows_in_mythology
>>690662indeed he is
>>690775Here, have some swords I made in an hour. Only 1k polies for both.
>>685250This. Insufferability is a symptom of using shit software. I pity the blendlet.
>having the urge to discuss software THIS BADLY
>>685211heres a high iq ideai cant wait for the AI takeover so people with actual talent (me) can get paid crazy amounts to sculpt and paint high detail original models that can then be pumped through the retopo and texture program and for a giant leap in tech that will suddenly make any kind of optimization requirements null because every person has the power of 10,000 supercomputers at their fingertips thanks to atomic particles that transfer information at the speed of light removing all limitations of model requirementsalso for a game programming AI that i can talk to and explain what i want in my game and for it to just do it without me having to try to explain to som sweaty pajeet that his code is wrong for the 100329911th time
>>692271>actual talent (me) can get paid crazy amounts to sculpt and paint high detail original models Talent is just the combination of heuristics and the execution of those in a manner that we would call a workflow and such a thing can be naturally deduced by an AI. I'm sorry. The only thing that we can do as artists is to do things counterintuitive and counterdeducive to the tools provided. Do retard moves. I appreciate your confidence and heart, but there's no escape at this point it seems as you and I use the same tools, while drastically different, still all the same. Every move we make in the program is cached by them. What's to say that there's no telemetry going on for these things? How do we not know they're not being fed into a system trailing and training such paths and progress to simply subsume us.
>>692271>t. schizoid "artist" who can't even do real work
>>692274Fuck you and argue his point in good faith you hyper-mongoloid. Why do they have wifi in the grouphome?
>>692275you alright there buddy? remember to take your antipsychotics
>>692277You didn't deserve those dubs.
thread is getting more relevant by the day
>>693370Shut the fuck up, Blendlet.
>>692278the fuck is wrong with that cat
>>694544soul crushing sadness
While we're at it, what's a good workflow?
>>694977just stay away from blender and you're good
>>694977and fuck this big fag because Blender is fine if you're trying to just model. Use UE4 if you're too poor for a renderer worth a shit + Substance Painter, if you're not going to use iray in it.
>>694977Just use programs you're comfortable with
>>697260it's literally just this
do you guys have a unified camera control accross all your software or do you more or less use the default camera controls?Switching in between blender/maya, marmo, zbrush and mari is giving my muscle memory a hard time.
>>698655I pretty much change everything to Maya controls wherever I can. Did that for Blender as well. I find it much easier on fingers to use a left click + alt to rotate around instead of constantly having to press a mouse wheel (which is kinda hard on my current mouse).
Great minds have no interest in the opinions of the goyim.
>>690776I see what you're doing there anonhttps://youtu.be/ezOPt7ARM1o
>>694977Paying others to do the chores
>>685211That is why emacs people often come over at a cult. Emacs is a software, but is also certain way of doing things (plain text everywhere etc.) and over all, it is an idea (namely that of writing code in an environment that can be changed by the user at runtime - freedom).
>>702312it's also breddy gud
bump
So, what makes a good workflow?
>>705918Efficiency, stability and high quality results.
>>685211Ok, so name one idea. Can you see any from on top of that horse?
>>705918Mine.
>>690514I think I made this edit
>>708356>I thinkYou can't really remember?
>always looking for good workflow break downs>see this threads>it's full of shitposters
