>>682612>Made with Blender.I can tell.
>>682612Huh. You know after thinking this over for a bit, I have to say that's gonna be a yikes from me.
>>682612if youre gonna do pbr stuff on sketchfab, upload a custom environment hdri at least, it makes a BIG difference in the overall lightinghttps://sketchfab.com/3d-models/chiyo--c2ae481fd7a443d0a7cee1497279b480
>>682612I thought we went over this once, Alexandre.
>>682612Aren't there tutorials on how to do anime hair in blender right? Like, a lot of tutorials?
>>682612Nino a best
should i dab on OP and make better ones?
>>682810OP just posts and leaves.Go ahead but he's long gone and not coming back unless he has another shitty "anime" model to post.
>guy openly advertises his models>no mod to be seen in a thousand-post radius>anon posts a picture of a naked anime lady for a point or reference's sake>at least one mod from every other board on site in the very next minute to deal with this very problematic and off-rules situation If the lazy, uncaring fucks wouldn't do shit just to earn brownie points with the higher-ups, maybe we could actually have a board one of these days!
>>682824All you can do really is report, and sage so it dies off. Really wish we had someone here that could prune threads like this though.General-san was a shoe-in, though I don't know if he's back or what. Last /wip/ was by another person I think, and the one before was Starfleet for some god awful reason.
>>682824>posting your work>advertisingreally jogs the noggin
>>682842This guy is riding the grey line hard. He's not selling the models but also, this is a little heavy-handed for just "posting work". He didn't ask for feedback, he's straight up opened with "Avaliable here", lets people download it and links to his facebook page where he's got some shitty webcomic running. What would you call that intention? Because I don't think it's self-improvement.
>>682842>posting your work without any intention to actually engage in the threadThat's the problem here. He comes in, offloads his shit for clicks, and leaves. He doesn't come back until he has another anime-inspired monstrosity to post. It's straight up spam.
>>682862>>682875No I mean I'm sure you guys have an excuse for why what you said makes any amount of sense but I still think its retarded. Even if he is just shitposting woth his work, so what?
>>682882To quote so many other anons on this board."A thread at the bottom died for this"?It's just a thread that didn't need to be made. We've got dedicated threads for posting work, we've got dedicated threads for posting questions, Blendlets, and other things. There's a specific board "culture" (I've got no better word for it) here. Just like there is on any other board. You wouldn't go onto the video game generals board and start a new thread about what you thought about the latest Call of Duty game, and you wouldn't start a thread on /gif/ without putting up a few gifs/webms of your own. I'm saying all of this under the guise that you've got no real idea how things are here, but I'm sure you've probably been here a while already. While none of it really matters in the long run, /3/ doesn't have a mod to really get rid of shitposts and errant threds like this. Which leaves it to the users here to "moderate" (again, no better word), ourselves. Since there's no mods to prune shitposts and stuff, it's all too easy for threads that have useful information or other stuff to get bumped off by another thread. Since the board is so slow, it's not too out there for threads on the last few pages to still be relevant. Hell, the "Old 3d" thread >>570286 has been here for 2 years already. It'll dip down to the final pages, only to get bumped back up every now and then.Again none of it really matters in the end, but if you're gonna kill off another thread, at least stay and take care of your own for a bit.Every new thread costs something.
>>682884I've been here a while and I'll confess, I don't really respect the boards culture as it is now and has been for some time. I'd rather see someones shitpost about something stupid they made in blender, than most of the "serious" threads. I don't even follow the same practices, methods, purposes or programs as most posters here anway, aside from the fact that we both model things in 3D. To be honest, I probably shouldn't be here at all but I can't leave for some reason.
>>682889I completely understand where you're coming from. To be honest I've sort of grown a bit disinterested in how this board is nowadays. Most threads dissolve into shit flinging about whatever program someone is using, even in the "serious" threads. The argument counter in the /wip/ threads can attest to that. There's a few pockets of good stuff every now and then, like the materials thread, or the questions thread (always someone willing to help out), but for the most part this board is starting to become more and more of a shithole. I mean it always was, but it used to be less of one. So I totally get why people wouldn't really respect the board's culture, I mean, why would you? It hasn't been acceptable in years. Hell, I don't anymore. I'm just coming from that direction of "be the change you want to see". It won't matter at all in the long run, but at least I can know I'm not really contributing to making the place worse off.
>>682927I guess I've given up hope that this board or the internet will ever improve.
>>682884I do it all the time. There's no rules about making new threads so fuck you.If a thread is so uninteresting that is still on page 10, why should I have mercy and let it live if I can kill it fast,
