Is there some setting in Unity I can use to render a scene in my camera view with all material settings overwritten?

Basically in order to strip the scene of any material information, so as to only display the geometry and lighting very cleanly?

You can only change into different shading modes in the scene view as far as i know (pic related), if you want to do so in the game view or make a custom one you need to write your own post process shader or try to find one online.

Wow, it's almost like there's a thread for questions like these.
Who'da thunk?

this is what i'm trying to achieve, but without replacing every single material in my scene... which would be insane. i couldn't find any camera filter or setting... fuck. it seems like such a simple thing, i figured surely one of the ultrahigh-iq fellers on /3/ knows the answer!

It's called a clay render.

Yes. All those high-iq fellers in the QUESTIONS THREAD >>679496

If you only need one reply for your thread (e.g. an answer), don't fucking make it.

Thats a great start, thank you!

I don't only need one reply, in fact nobody here knows. I knew nobody would know, thus kicking off a healthy and lively debate around the issue can help us all move one step closer towards eventually having an answer to the benefit of all.

you all know what it's called, and what it is, and which color of white is the best, but nobody here knows how to actually do it in unity. sucks, because i don't either but i'd love to know. hoping for some more knowledgeable anons to come and share input.

What the heck are you on? It's a clay render, so google how to do a clay render in Unity and you'll probably get your answer in less time than it takes you to post here.

couldn't you write a script to reassign all the active scene materials to one during playtime? It'd take maybe an hour tops if you can do basic scripting and reference the manual

Fuck off.
You were pointed in the right direction, it's a simple search on google. No one is going to hold your hand for you and guide you step by step like everyone else in your life.
