After Love Death and Robots will we see more NSFW CG shows?
maybe. western animated content for non-kids has always been a bit of a pipe dream, but you've got platforms like netflix and amazon who probably have enough of an audience for this stuff to be able to fund that stuff. but it depends entirely on those platform holders, no one else is going to to do it, otherwise we would have had this shit sine the animatrix happened.
>>680706yes.disney planed something for the next star wars shit. but usually they will just drop some sheckels on the comics.
>>680706that was my fav ep, i want to see a higher definition of greta's transformation
>>680706>After Love Death and Robots will we see more NSFW CG shows? Was it a commercial success? If yes - yes.If no - no.>>680748The best ep., 3D tech wise, was that "whitness" one.Impresive mix & skill montage.
>>680706What kind of s 0 y / beta show is that?
>>680971The one that you'll never get asked to work on.
>>680975Thank god, you can't pay me enough to work in the "entertainment" industry. Produces nothing of value.
How can LD&R not be SFW... when it was made by workers working at a company?
>>681024>Produces nothing of value.lmao
>>681044Like everything in (((entertainment))). Just POZed consume-and-discard shit.
>>681049You are on a site which is mainly for entertainment. Don't you value your time?
>>681024post your work
I want to pitch a CG show concept to networks and streaming services. How much does it cost to create a 20-minute episode with the quality of Beyond the Aquila Rift or Sonnie's Edge?
>>681080I thin that anons talking more about staying a brainless sheep
>>681575Are you delusional? These episodes are made by the likes of Blur and Sony Imageworks. If you have a great series pitch, write a script for the pilot and try to pitch it as a writer. However the production needs to be overseen by an actual studio, not some kid on /3/. You're talking millions of dollars per episode, dozens of artists, voice actors, management and support staff, etc
>>681702From the ridiculous to the sublime is but a step. Apparently a model like pic related would cost $1200 (>>682757), so $120k for a hundred counting inanimate props and environments. Motion capture is getting cheaper by the day, but let's say $500k for a 20-minute episode including rigging, staging and performers. Still well under a mil. What else do I need?
>>683204>Apparently
>>683205*TIPS*
>>683204Lol
>>683204>Though process of every failed kickstarter ever
>>680706Just what we need, more shows using purdy shock "NSFW" gimmick to cover up boring shit writing. Yea, we probably will.
>>683400never read the short story have you.can you even read?
>>680706>>680944the animation level is still at the same level or fractionally better than FF:the spirits within and that movie is over 10 years old, which is quite sad really.realistic 3d animated movies wont work, maybe in 20 to 30 years time when cartoons are no longer associated with gaming and children stuff.
>>680706This was the best episode
>>684443Spirits Within was made with a billion people and cost so much money it nearly bankrupted Square. The fact that animation on par with Spirits Within can be made with 1/100th the number of people at 1/100th the cost (after adjusting for inflation) is what you should be focusing on.
>>684254It's not nearly as good as you seem to think. It's mediocre, not bad, but it's not good either.
