How do I hide all these operations on the left here?

I don't know why they are there in the first place and they are super annoying to scroll through.

Fusion is pretty awesome. If you don't like the cloud stuff then Inventor is where the big industry is at, Fusion is the testbed for new things like generative design (which is pretty cool btw).

Nope, Max and Maya mainly, never was a CAD guy. My main fear is that they will force the cloud crap on the rest of us. Then it will be really 'Goodbye Autodesk'
