Making mad cash on YouTube posting 3d anime meme trash.
Hopefully making Ready Player One level VR porn
>>679338Id like to make solo shorts that get really popular and raise enough money to hire a team to make an uncensored animated 3d tv show on the internet.>RWBY is my role model>I fucking hate RWBY and the horrible animation, but I would love to have millions of fans watching a show I created>masturbate to fanart porn of my characters with the confidence that no 2d artists can draw 3d cg characters on model.>pay my favorite porn artists to draw 10 page canon promotional porn comics of my characters with plot spoilers and foreshadowing>merchandise everything and fill my desk with $300 japanese figurines of my show. They can have all the money I just want the toys.>fuck fans whom cosplay as characters I sculpted>read the obituaries every morning hoping that my classmates/college professors have killed themselves or burnt out.
Maybe then retopology will actually be automated
>>679374Then one day you will grow up and become a man. I know it's hard to believe.
>>679374>>fuck fans whom cosplay as characters I sculptedYou know what's good, Anon.
>>679374It still annoys me that the guy who made that show just ripped a bunch of models and made them slightly different.
>>679425I didn't know about the show, but I just watched a couple of trailer scenes and the animation quality leaves much to desire. How can this bullshit get a following?
>>679424That sounds awesome. I wish you the best, Anon.
>>679437Monty Oum scripting the fights.
Probably the same thing I'm doing today but with better paychecks. VFX is a very small industry and I'm known as 'that guy that do that stuff' so there's no way I could branch out to other things without repercussion.
either rich or die trying
>>679442>removedInteresting.Now I wonder if he got removed for posting stupid shit in some other thread or if he got cold feet about him posting his business idea.
>>679638probably paranoid about someone stealing his galaxy-brain level business idea
>>679639Well if that's the case, I for one won't steal it but with his post he may have created a reason to not procrastinate so much and get some fire under the kettle to pull his idea through before someone else does. But then again there's a lot of buzz in that field he's in so either way, he won't have it easy.Still wish him the best of luck though.
>>679639It's already too late.
>>679639>>679643What's CF and why would it be good?
>>679638>>679639>>679643Nah, I posted a spoiler to the Avengers movie in another thread and some mod apparently got assblasted enough to delete all the posts I made that day.The workflow won't be that special, no need to hide it and I'm pretty sure others have done similar things before.>>679650CF = Carbon Fiber, more specificall CF reinforced plastic (CRP), you can create a CRP part with the same thickness as a steel part with a fraction of the weight.
>>679676*and get the same strength>>679645fug
>>679645Okay, I have spent too much time on the 4ch*nz.Edit: 4ch*nz's anti-spam bullshit system.
Im a decade in and have still never had any job offers. Ive had my work put on the picks page of artstation a dozen times with thousands of likes on of each of those images.Yet none of it makes any difference.I feel the advice some of these artists give out on how to get jobs is bullshit. They say networking doesnt matter, and its all down to the quality of your work, and if you post it online you'll get jobs if its good. Then please explain the armies of shit tier pajeets that are working in american cg companies, and alot of these people are legitimatley terrible, yet somehow have jobs. I do not understand this industry. Its over
>>680317Are you actually applying or are you hoping they'll scout you? Also be careful about having art that's too good.
>>680323>Also be careful about having art that's too good. Not him, but, why?
>>680330Pajeets are easier for an employer than someone over qualified for the position. They want an asset slave not someone they can't afford
Making cool stuff for free
>>680336I don't think that other anon's problem is that his work is too good if he never had a job offer in a decade.................I guarantee you that some employers look for actual talent and won't ever consider shirt-tier pajeets (especially in north america where the budgets and salaries are usually higher)
>>680317link to your stuff?
>>680400He must not be selling himself properly and needs to apply to more things and make sure his resume isn't shit
>>680529I would assumeeither that, or the work is just not as good as he claims
>>679338hoping to get a really fast workflow using VR & grease pencil to help further my 3DCG. Hopefully by then my portfolio will be good enough for a job at Weta (I live in New Zealand) or at the very least, I can maybe try put out pilots on Youtube and try get picked up from that.
>>683795>has goals for the future>uses Blender
>>679338Becoming a master of my craft and working with a small, profitable studio.
>>679338Taking commissions for monmusu/furry vore.Pic not mine
Still being a Linux Kernel developper. Maybe in Singapore, as I heard the wage were decent there, and I thirst for new countries and culture.
>>684193I want to see your work :D
>>684290I'd rather she keep it to herself.
>>679338I was going to make a hyperbole joke, but anon, I'll answer truthfully. I would like to at least put out a very very small game. Even if it's just browser. So I see that small goal coming to fruition within 10 years at least. I just enjoy my /3/ hobby like /k/ or /o/ enjoys theirs.>I'll be 35 in ten yearsHonestly, I want kids more than anything, not sure if my 3DCG can play a part in that though.
>>679442>>679639Great idea anon! Bet I can do it first xDD
>>686190You can make it in 48 hours if you focus. Only thing holding you back is trying to do everything with your first game. The idea is to actually finish one, then finish another one.
>>686190This was me 10 years ago. I never made it lol.
>>679378>what is zremesher or polyRetopoare you new?
fully designed CAD brap barn
>>679374Can I join you in some way?
>>686190>Honestly, I want kids more than anything, not sure if my 3DCG can play a part in that though. When you have kids, you'll be able to make custom tiny cute games for them.
>>679338>What I wantworking at game studio.>what will happenprobably working some stupid non 3d related job
Had published my game
>>680317>networking doesn't matterNetworking does matter talent also matters but your talent won't get you the contacts that will offer you a job.
Been at 3d for years, but can't really get beyond props and sets, and I'm stuck at highschool level skill. So I'll just keep dinking around with 3d after work, though one day I hope to make non-ugly characters. I'm thinking of doing covers for my own novels, but all else fails I'll pop in Daz models to my sets, and get some proper lighting on them.
