I'm in University and we only learned Rhinoceros (I had a teacher explaining me a bit of blender but we don't use it and I just know the basics) and for one of my classes we are designing a concept electric car and my part of the work is to do the interior BUT I'm going insane because it's incredibly hard to model using nurbs (I cheat a bit and use the t-splines plug in)Is there any easier software to model the interior of a car (the final model needs to be 3d printed )?
>>678274Nurbs are kick ass get good fagit.
>>678274Basically everything has a modeling toolkit capable of it.
You can use Blender, which apart from being one of the best modelers out there, it's free. And you'll be in a large community full of knowledgeable people happy to help you with your learning. Look at BlenderNation for example.
>>678289>we are blendlet witnesses, do you have a moment to talk about our blend leggy
>>678274Ffs sake, wanna go cheap get fusion 360 for t-spline modeling. And it will make the rest of the electric car modeling tons easier since it's actually a cad package. Go kick your teacher after that.
>>678336The only way to go if you want to see your work produced at some point.>>678289Go on. Try to build a data set in blender that holds up to production standards. Better yet, do it entirely in poly modelling because fuck it.>>679154No need for that, Rhino has official support for T-Splines via plugin.
>>678350Well he said "one of the best" and not "the single best". Solely the fact that people are comparing it to stuff like Max or Maya puts it up there. But yeah>i call blender shit because i use autocuck
>>678287except its outdated as fuck, T splines is way better and newer.
>>678289>which apart from being one of the best modelers out there, then why is it missing an essential modelling kit?
>>679759What is it missing?
>>679763proper edge sliding and cut tool. every time u make a cut you have to click the cut tool again. even mayas multi-cut tool is amazing. also you cant key bind subobjects, you cant chamfer(you have to use a shitty modifier) and there is no preview for diagonal edges that you can toggle to switch directions for shading.
>>678274Just found out about T-Splines from this thread THIS IS INCREDIBLE not learning Rhino right now but when I returning to it for college this will be incredibly helpful
>>679788t. shortcut letdon't use the on-screen buttons fagget, you have a keyboard for a reason.
