>browsing random animal models in turbosquid>everything is above 30 dollars, most of the time costing 100 and up to one fucking thousand dollar tigerWhy are 3d models so expensive? Lots of them even look like garbage but they still cost 60 dollars
Model them yourself then, and you'll quickly find out why they cost that much
>>677611Yeah, but the issue isn't the high quality stuff. Often I see low poly, or even outright shit, models going for hundreds of dollars.
>>677628again, model it yourself and see why.
People make projects where deadlines are an issue but not so much budget. Look at shows like the most extreme on animal planet. Those models were awful but the show was fine.
>>677610Supply n demand senpai
>>677628>Often I see low poly, or even outright shit, models going for hundreds of dollars. It's just hobbyists thinking they can get easy money, no one is buying those models though.
>>677611>>677636Retard(s).
>>677689yes you are.
>>677690t. retard
>>677689found the production manager
>>677693why do you keep calling yourself a retard?
>>677708>why is water wet
>>677628Just because they're listed with high prices doesn't mean anyone buys them. Like eBay, you can list whatever you want.
>>677610it's because of the royalty percentage, I'm actually surprised people still use this website lol.
>>677610because people are retarded and greedy. i price my shit from 3 to 15 usd maxmy 15 usd lot is usually a lot better than anything similar in the category for any price
>>677743Fuck you, undercutting faggot.
>>677610make your ownreal answer is because they sell to film industry etc...
>>677753Yeah for real. Unless it took you 15-30 minutes and you hate yourself dont charge this lol. #D work goes for at least $30 an hour if you are new. No way you're making anything good and selling it for less than 100
>>677753>put 20-40>no one gives a shit, one sale per month lot at best>change to 3 for the worst and 15 for the best stuff i have>get purchase notifs every few daysduh
>>677842>his models aren't even worth 40 dollarsoof
>you can get a real squirrel for free
>>677901>has never tried to catch a squirrel
>>677905>easy to catch when they're babies
>>677610Fuck grey squirrels they are the niggers of the squirrel world.
>>677912Nice try cat.
>>677888that retard who sells an untextured lowpoly sword for 40 usd, is that you?
>>677610>>677628Idiots putting up shit assets for high prices thinking someone will buy them. Doubt they sell much at all, if anything.
>>677687Some people are, I saw a tracer model that was literally just the sfm version ported to maya on sale for $300 with 3 confirmed purchase reviews on a site like op, if the reviews were from shill accounts that meant they paid whatever was the sites cut 20% or whatever, so I'm inclined to believe some of the shit models on those sites sell even if they are $100+
>>677992it's porn. it doesn't work like that when there's no horny retard.
Just use the Daz store.Turbosquid is full of people who believes what they are doing is "art" and that they should be paid thousand dollars for anything. Daz has a vibrant community of people who aren't completely retarded, and most of the prices are in the $10-$20 range. That's the difference a vibrant community can make against a moribund community of so-called 3d artist. You know I'm right, and it infuriates you, but that's the truth. Welcome the truth.
>>677996How do you justify charging $20 for something that may have taken to create more than a day?
>>677996>Daz nigger preaching from his high horse
>>677996>daz
>>677610>Why are 3d models so expensive?Because they're not for you. They're for companies and studios that don't give a shit about paying $1000 for a model of a trash can, and only care about getting a project done. The stuff on the marketplace isn't for the general consumer or for amateur 3d artists. It's expected that you could just do it yourself. If you do have a client that needs stuff done though, it's not out of the ordinary to just add things like that to the cost (within reason), or factoring it into the budget for a project.
>>677997How do you justify charging $20 for something that may have taken to create more than a year?
>>678006you are like little babby watch this
>>678007*ahem*
>>678008does Ton come to your house and touch you at night if you don't pay?
>>678011Sometimes he also eats the leftovers I had in the fridge
>>678011No, but when the time comes, I won't be in the list, and I will face the same fate than Autodesk representatives if I haven't (((contributed))) to The Institute.
>>678016how's >>>/pol/ and >>>/x/ these days?
>>678008>$250 Diamond retard badge is in the trans flag colorwayheh heh, bravo Blender team, bravo.
>>678008What if someone made a website exposing all of Blender weird development decisions, and paid the fare to have their site listed there?
>>678006Videogames can be underpriced. Wonder why crunch is so common? Well, you gotta pay for the low store price somehow.
>>677641Everyone wanna squirrel but nobody wanna rig this furry-ass weiggt
>>677996>daztheir models are worse than Turbosquid if we're just talking furred animals alone.
