I am talentless
>>
Talent does not exist, people are not born with a natural affinity for 3D artistry. People who work hard, received support, and practice become better than those who don't. Other skills learnt through life; also not inherently gifted, may give beginners an edge if they can be transferred, but this does not qualify as talent. Git gud.

Industryfag here

I knew that feel. I'm telling you this now, for a period of months I was constantly ghosted and rejected for every job application I sent in.

Then I got gud. Not even memeing, it took a lot of effort and time, but it worked.

Bullshit. You sound like the wackos telling us that everyone is born equal in ability and talent. No man is born equal and not everyone can excel at any arbitrary task. You can teach people to press buttons and to follow procedures, that doesn't make you an artist. Monkey see, monkey do...and then your jobs end up being done by Pajeet and Zerglings on the other side of the globe because they press buttons for less than you do.

Creativity is something you either have or have not.
Talent is a stupid word for using ones creativity.

Fact is that not everybody is creative. If you are not creative you can work hard until your hand falls off, you'll never get to the level of a true creative person (which is also working hard).
A creative person who doesn't work hard, doesn't get far and a lesser creative person can outdo an more creative person by working harder. But only to an certain extend.
>>
>>668087
Go fuck yourself you untalented hack.
>>
>>668010
Picasso's father was an art school teacher, he taught him everything since an early age. Picasso must have spent so much time drawing that you would blush if you compared whatever time you have used to accomplish anything in your life
>>
>>668010
but picasso was extremely talented since he was a child.

a better example is michael angelo because he was trained in a workshop by a teacher as a teenager
>>
>>668129
Sure. But try giving the same training to an ordinary child. Chances are you won't get very far until she becomes way older and her visual abilities mature.

This is easy to see in any family with three or more children. Their upbringing is similar, yet they may show diverging aptitudes, usually from an early age. When those aptitudes are salient enough, we talk of talent.

I'm not saying talent is 100% biological, but I do believe biology is the major component by far.

>>
>>668181
do you think people are also born better at flying jets then others? what about typing on a keyboard or fucking cooking food. the only difference from you and somonelses is biology, and surface level at that. picasso had help from a young age, he was probably also more motivated about doing it then his siblings and therefore tried harder, practised longer. that is there people people know is name
>>
>>668190
there are some super autists though that are unbelivable at painting or composing without ever having any education whatsoever. The blank slate theory has long been debunked, its just leftie idelogical equality bullshit
>>
>>668190
Nobody is born knowing how to fly jets, but it's damn well true that there are people who have better spatial awareness and visual acuity than most, and can excel at that particular skill above everybody else.
>>
Fuck me, some people really believe some of the shit in this thread, do they?
>>
I've seen enough examples of "talentless" people diligently working on themselves and finally excelling at tasks they chosen to understand that talent is not a god's gift or other mythic nonsense, it's (most probably) just a random arrangement of connections in your brain that happened to be more efficient at some tasks than other people's random arrangements
And it can be changed, with great effort and discipline admittedly, but it is possible
>>
>>668202
Yep, anybody can be on Einstein's level if they practice hard enough.
>>
>>668202
Like i said earlier, creativity is an personality trait and its measure-able.
If you are not creative, hard work will not make up for it.
These people who you perceived as talent-less, where actually creative, they might not have known it, but they where.
It's not mystical but driven by genes and therefore biologically determined.
>>
>>668208

>It's not mystical but driven by God's Will and therefore determined.
replace "God's Will" with "genes", "insert new hot shit current theory I learned from popsci preacher clown yesterday", modern humans have a habit of warping science into some form of religion, explaining everything in the process, treating it like ultimate truth.
but the only as solid as cause and effect fact we currently have on our hands is those who don't even try are destined to fail, rest are nothing but theories.

>>
>>668226
Except that "God's will" is just words, while "genes" is but the tip of a scientific iceberg, which is helping you stay alive in a world which otherwise would have already culled your retarded ass.

I also noticed that you seem to love insulting intelligence of your partners in conversation, implying that you are of course intelligent which is apparently governed by how many popsci you read
>why can't you accept
because its not an axiom or holy doctrine to be accepted without questions first
...also because you didn't bother to provide a definition of creativity yet alone what governs it inside your body, along with convincing evidence of course
>>
>>668242

>>
How come progressives and left-leaning folks are so fast to jump on the "science" train for everything...until that very moment it comes to topics like race, genetic predisposition, intelligence etc?
Then science suddenly turns into some sort of oppressive evil that has to be shouted down or even suppressed at all cost.

I'm a centrist, but this attitude feels downright dishonest and devious to me.
>>
>>668261
i believe genetics are a big factor but if you look at geniuses across history their parents nor children had a huge impact on their lives far as work ethic or vision. me and my parents are extremely different in almost every area
>>
>>668261
Because we have a long history as a species to legitimize atrocities towards groups of people we may gain advantages by suppressing.
A certain civilization in Europe managed to convince large portions of it's population to commit industrialized mass murder in recent history.

Basically the pale face members of our species that like to dress in pointy hats and such is not yet mature enough
to handle the information that africans have bigger muscles and larger genitals.
The left got together on the 21st annual Socialist World Forum and decided that as long as peen envy and body shaming
is part of our culture we must tip-toe around the various facts in the genetic data to stave of genocidal race wars and segregation.

In the not too distant future where we've patched the scattering of the species from the last ice age by crossbreeding
to a cream goldish brown hue we will all have equal peen and mental function and this whole race BS will simply be a non-issue.

In the meantime none of this is of any relevance to /3/.

Came out intact out of WW2 gave the masses higher education and proceeded to export cheap furniture in flat packages and feminist ideology :3

To this day we're liked across the globe like a race of friendly gnomes with excellent reputation, high morals and a conscience.
All this while making bank selling advanced weapons and surveillance systems to dictatorships while being more 'aryan' than Der Führer himself.

We also take good care of immigrants and pretend to celebrate the cultural diversity, secretly because we have no

What if I told you education was the aggregation of experience (experience which, when aggregated provides a body of well-practiced practitioners in a field the ability to compose theory about workflow and style) that is merely handed to pupils in a manner and method that has been decided by other people who just decided to do it? If the tools were so fucking cryptic, people wouldn't even be able to use it in the first place let alone teach it as independent exposure leads to, while similar, unique instances that need nothing more than the natural inquisitive and inductive nature of human thought.

Fuck you, talent doesn't exist, but curiousity does. If you don't give a fuck about something when you're young you won't be able to get good at it later when the heuristics you've created for yourself in day-to-day life lead you to have trouble with picking up new things. Also, fuck your gay Reddit spacing.
>>
>>670933

Good post desu.

My argument against talent has always been perspective. As a kid, I constantly heard from nearly every adult in my life that I was a "computer genius." That I had all this talent because I could type more than one word a minute and actually navigate through folders without getting lost. The truth was that I wasn't talented at all, I was just bored kid having fun playing around on the computer. I naturally picked up how to use it properly by dicking around with it, while everyone else thought of it as this tool they needed to study and master before they could do anything with it. They would use it to just check their email but were baffled that I could download music and modify programs as if it were sorcery. They didn't have the curiosity to just explore the damn thing and were bizarrely fatigued to even use it. I tried to show them how to surf the web outside yahoo.com but they just could not leave their comfort zone. They can work the hell out of smartphones now, but it took them 20 years to break down the stigma that tech was a millennial thing. Anyway I guess my point is that you should remember to have fun exploring the wonderful possibilities you have and stop trying to frustrate yourself by overthinking. Fun gets it done.

Politics are a cultural problem there, not for a lack of understanding. People know the problems, they just don't engage.

Anime is considered one of the top attractive anesthetics in art right now and is on a popularity bull run globally. Meanwhile western productions fetishize hambeasts and brown-and-darker mutts which no one likes but it's nice to virtue signal over anyways.

Dialogues and plot are highly dependant on material. Eva changed animation as a medium for adults and many of the """ brain wrecker""" cult hits of the west were stolen from Japanese animes. Sometimes entire sequences.

Africa and the Middle East are not starving. Or rather, some Africans are, but retarded UN sends them money and food so they can stay retarded and still breed like rabbits. Same with Middle East, which has an infant birth rate several times over the European one.

You sound really ignorant.

>Dialogues and plot are highly dependant on material. Eva changed animation as a medium for adults and many of the """ brain wrecker""" cult hits of the west were stolen from Japanese animes. Sometimes entire sequences.

I know this, I love anime as a medium, moreso manga though. The thing is adults engage in shitty manga all the time, mindnumbingly shitty manga like idk, mirai nikki, for example.
Shit full of plotholes, disgusting dialogue and shit aesthetics. I'm just saying that reaching those lows in writing goes really far in showing how stupid the average nip is. The west might have shit shows, but none with as shitty dialogue and as big plotholes as most anime.
Of course you have really interesting shit like eva, yuasa's works, berserk, made in abyss recently, but most of their production makes them seem really stupid, which they are in a lot of senses.

What I mean is, IQ doesn't really show intelligence in a broad enough sense. It doesn't account for creative thinking and other capabilities and sensibilities like a sense of aesthetics or even your capabilities at understanding complex works of art.

>Africa and the Middle East are not starving. Or rather, some Africans are, but retarded UN sends them money and food so they can stay retarded and still breed like rabbits. Same with Middle East, which has an infant birth rate several times over the European one.

Doesn't change a thing, their education is shit and their lives are miserable.
