Houdini apprentice has export restrictions in FBH and alembic. I can use OBJ to export the grid in May for the next render.

The only restriction is the export of particles and liquids?

What the fuck are you even saying

I'm not well versed on dynamics, but if your problem is with exporting Houdini primitives (in particle/fluid sims), perhaps you can try converting your sims to polygonal geometry using the Convert SOP. You should then be able to export those as OBJ without any problems. Of course, frame by frame, it's going to be big, but in theory you could load it in Maya and convert it into Alembic. I don't know how easy this would be, though.
