Post your anvils itt. You do have at least one, don't you, anon?
>>663021no because im not a brainlet
Nope, why would I? I do have waifus, tho. But they are for my eyes only.
>>663022>>663025>translation : I dont know how to use blender
>>663027Yes, and?
>>663028ahahaahahahahaahaahaahhaahaha
>>663021My fucking god, that looks horrible. The proportions are all fucked up, the lighting is shit, who the fuck renders from orthographic view? Even when such a basic tutorial is basically fed to you step by step, how do you even manage to fuck it up this bad?
>>663232>The proportions are all fucked up,you lost me
Something went wrong when I was trying to follow the tutorial.
>>663269That's a bit gay, isn't it, fellas?
>>663269he has a freaking wife and kid. Lay off him
starting to look ace.
>>663274quite possibly the worst bump map ive ever seen
>>663274Keep working on it
>>663280
>>663280ruh roh
>>663029>do you mean there are 3D programs other than Blender?
>>663321>Using m*yaHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>663330>not using maya LOL
>>663330>Using blunderHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAEnjoy being the laughing stock of the 3d world.
>>663330Every pro uses Maya and/or Max, while you blendies spend your days shitting on good software like a bunch of retarded brainwashed cultists.
>>663335>>663383>>663384the difference between you and actual artists that use maya is that they don't need to bend a knee in order to succeed
>>663390What shit are you on, mate?
>>663576I feel the sudden urge to clean this thing
alright
>>663021Instead of doing the anvil, I went rouge.. My second masterwork after the obligatory donuts which I did 20 days ago.
Here's mine. What should I do next?
Still grinding away on it
>>6637843d print it and drop it on people
>>663784>didn't mask the topWhy even live?
>>663784I believe either the displacement or texture placed (the black spots) are quite large and is easy to tell that it's fake (It's not too 3 dimensional)
>>663021Sorry, best i have.
Need to improve
Muh finished anvil. R8/H8/Appreci8
>>663784We can see the faces in the part of the horn that should be round. Stop being a lazy asshole and fix it. Also it looks like the top of the horn isn't flat.
h-how's my turntable?
>>666131It's not a turntable if you fly the camera around in an ellipse
>>666133Regardless,
>>665663>>666131That's a nice idea of how artists think people use anvils.Check out real anvils. Used by real people.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKEG9YXjGgcNotice how there are no hammer strike marks on the side of the anvil.Actually, there are no visible hammer strike marks anywhere on even an extremely well used anvil.Anvils are designed to resist hammer marks. So what is all that shit? Most of it is mold imperfections from the initial casting. A lot of it is removed corrosion and rust from being forgotten outdoors for decades. On the "trunk" of the anvil, you can see gouge marks from when the anvil was lifted with chains and rope.On the work surfaces of the anvil--basically the entire top plate, horn/shoulder and square table, you can see completely smooth sections. Those are your hammer marks--specifically, hammer against metal over anvil.
>>666199>what are the deep gouges on the work surfaceswhen you hammer sharpish square stock to form a longer and thinner blade, the blade imprints into the anvil as it gets thinner and thinner.
>>663576What the fuck caused those slashes on the side? Don't just add random detail because you want to add something to fill the space, think about whether it makes sense in the real world. In fact, almost every thin slash/cut you have makes no sense, considering you don't hit an anvil with that sharp edged tools or the blade of the thing you're working on facing the anvil.
